Yes, but momentum is much easier to maintain when there is a potentially huge story or good fundamentals that can justify a higher price.  Without those, the momentum fades and such stocks fall back hard.

I agree. I have the tendency to sell a rocket too early, but took profit in SPIR anyway. Greed is my greatest enemy.

Nice trade.  It's sold off from the high, but held relatively strong.  It still might have more to go tomorrow, but the lack of fundamentals make it a high risk play, likely to sell back hard at some point.

Yeah, bought back again at open. I'm grateful enough even I didn't have the balls to hold overnight and missed the gap up.

CAFE is dying though. Wonder if it will be a bounce next week.

Looks like I'm paying for the greedy trade. The intraday chart is getting disturbing. Set a stop and let it bite the bullet if there's more selling.

Yeah, it looks like the momentum's gone and it fell back hard.  If momentum players move on, it has a long ways to fall back.  Meanwhile, it's been a good daytrader after the fall.

Hey, Vikingfan, do you have some shares of SPIR ?? ^

ramlau

And here we have another breakout with CAFE again. CAFE, CCTY, SPIR... they are all getting difficult to trade at their levels. I'm not in any one of these as of now.

Just how fickle these low-floaters are!

No -- I did trade some this morning after the big drop as day trades, but I wouldn't want to own it now.  It looks like the momentum's gone and it can fall back hard.  The fundamentals will probably take it over and send it back to single digits.

SPIR fillied the Gap and triggered short term buy.

May move up towards $ 12 soon.
But also has the potential for single digits.
Keep stops in place on this one.

Keep an eye on it the next few trading days.

SPIR fillied the Gap and triggered a buy yesterday.

Triggered a buy?  I'm curious as to how it triggered a buy when all it did was sell almost straight down after the gap and initial run.  I've never seen filling a gap that way as bullish.  I traded some yesterday, but it looks way too risky here unless volume buyers come back in.  It looks much more likely to keep selling down to single digits to me.  It still has the gap from the lower 7's.  What do you see that makes it a buy?  Thanks.

I was hoping to get some insight on this as well.  I got suckered into holding as it went lower.

New SPIR bagholder for now

Eduards,

Suckered into what ??  Who made you buy ?  ???
Make your own decisions.  These are all high risk plays.

Keep your stops tight.

I still like it for a quick trade from these levels.

Box your position for a hedge if you prefer.

Big moves.

Not going to " Sucker " you to take a big profit here either.

Cannot completely describe on a message board what the trigger was.

Made some good money so far today.
