Shoulda posted this earlier, but boatguy, looks like you made the right move - I hung through earnings, wich were quite disappointing - increased revs but increased loss per share, and no expectation of reaching profitability until 2008, plus they were unwilling to give future guidance, it didn't really go down that well, but fortunately not a total stinker.

I held on the next day, just to see if it might have a reaction bounce, but nothing to be had, so am out now at 3.27.  Has broken down below ascending and descending support from the triangle, and while it might have his some support at 3.00. next real support looks to come in around 2.90.

Might be worth playing there, or taking that as a logical stop, but I think CPST looks weak right now

FuelCell Energy Debuts DFC/T Hybrid Product Using Capstone MicroTurbine

DANBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 2006--Capstone Turbine CEO John R. Tucker joined FuelCell Energy Chairman Jerry D. Leitman, President and CEO R. Daniel Brdar and U.S. Department of Energy officials in a dedication ceremony today to unveil a newly operational fuel cell/microturbine hybrid energy system.


The innovative combined-cycle system uses the high value heat byproduct from a FuelCell Energy 250-kilowatt Direct FuelCell® (DFC®) power plant to operate a modified 60-kilowatt Capstone MicroTurbine®.

The integrated system, a patented Direct FuelCell/Turbine® (DFC/T®) power plant has yielded a combined total electrical efficiency of 56% for 800 continuous hours during initial testing at FuelCell Energy's Danbury, Conn., facility, nearly twice the fuel efficiency of the average fossil-fueled utility power plant.

"Our microturbines are a perfect complement to the operation of FuelCell Energy's DFC products," said Tucker. "It's exciting when FuelCell Energy's power generation products are combined with our proven systems to attain unprecedented levels of efficiency."

Also present at the event were Victor Der, Director of Clean Energy Systems in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy, and Wayne Surdoval, Technology Manager of DOE's National Energy Technology Laboratory, who commented that "The DFC/T represents a significant advance for ultra-clean, high efficiency fuel cell/turbine technology."

Following additional testing at the Danbury plant, the fuel cell/microturbine hybrid will be installed at the Deaconess Billings Clinic in Montana where it will provide the base load power needs of the hospital.

"The DFC/T power plant's 56 percent electrical efficiency is unmatched anywhere in the industry for distributed generation products in its size range and has the potential for customers to substantially reduce their energy costs," said Brdar. "This sub-MW combined cycle system will be an ideal ultra-clean, reliable baseload product for smaller commercial and industrial customers."

btw, these guys are selling their biogas converter turbines and lot's been written about the need for just such a product..can't find a better biz than energy conservation.
I like this for a longer term hold........
