I'm glad IMMR rallied 3.5% yesterday because I dislike having stocks in the portfolio losing more than 30% ... that's my comfort zone, until 30%, everything is ok, but, say, at a 40% loss then the loss starts getting into my money management nerves.

Fortunately, since 3 Stocks started in April 2005, I never had to take a 40% or more loss in a single stock.

I guess it's about time for a positive press release out from IMMR, don't you think? We'll see what happens next, but you know, my hands are solid as a rock on this one.

IMMR gave all the 3.5% back over the following days. This stock is somewhat hard to understand, if one looks just to the past and present fundamental data. One needs to look into the future to see the very attractive investment opportunity.

Unfortunately, while the future doesn't come, there's uncertainty and many players don't even see it, they just look at the company's Price to Sales Ratio and Price to Earnings Ratio and consider the stock is way overvalued. But it isn't, at least not when one considers the huge potential of the haptics technology, the 600 patents IMMR has and the license agreements it already signed, the most important one with Nokia, the biggest mobile phone manufacturer in the World, with more than 40% market share.

I'll patiently wait for the future as I hold IMMR.

In lack of specific news or a fundamental back up in terms of hard revenues and profits, IMMR trades on sentiment over the short term. I'm glad sentiment is turning more bullish today (I hope/expect the rally sticks after the FED decision) and probably that's going to help IMMR move north, according to its future prospects.

I'll keep holding IMMR for the long term.

We've had just a little bit of a positive reaction to the $13.48 support level, on increasing but still low volume. Still no news out. I'll keep holding IMMR.

IMMR moved up a bit, getting out of the discomfort zone, which is the -30% level. I welcome the short term move, but of course, I expect a lot more over the long term, as the revenue and profits start rolling in.

At just $1 per unit sold using its technology IMMR will be a multi-billion dollar company. I'll keep holding IMMR for the long term.

IMMR trading around $15 premarket. Can't find any news.

Yeah soxguy, there weren't any news and the stock came back down to fill the gap. I guess that today, with the general market being so positive, the stock will go higher.

Fundamentally nothing changed, I'll continue holding IMMR for the long term.

The general market wasn't all that positive after all, but IMMR rose 3.2% anyway, which I welcome. Now if we could get a high above $15.28 we would be starting to have higher lows and higher highs, the definition of a bull trend. We'll see what happens to the chart.

I'll continue holding IMMR.

IMMR has been showing some resilience, but the "true" technical test will happen when the stock faces the 50 days SMA (currently at $15.11) and the $15.28 horizontal resistance level.

I think any day now we can get a positive news release, which can be a new license agreement or further developments in the IMMR - Nokia collaboration, for example the showing of new mobile phone models using IMMR's VibeTonz technology.

I'll keep holding IMMR.

David Randolph

Bah, nothing new on IMMR, I'll continue ... you know.

I'm glad JKN likes IMMR story and stock. I like it too. Nice to have a bit of upside action yesterday. No news out. I'll keep holding.

10 Things That Will Change The Way We Live - Haptics

Whether people know it or not, haptics has been subtly making inroads into everyday life in the form of vibrating phones, gaming controllers and force-feedback control knobs in cars (BMW's iDrive system uses the technology). But the science of haptics has the potential to do much more. Products, such as the CyberForce "whole-hand force feedback system" from Immersion Corporation and SenseAble Technologies, let users interact physically with virtual objects. For instance, by using a sensor-equipped glove and a force-reflecting exoskeleton, you could literally feel the shape, texture and weight of an onscreen 3-D object. Such devices are used now for virtual modeling, medicine and the military, but as costs decrease, haptic interfaces could become valuable communication tools. Using haptics technology, people will be able to shake hands virtually over the Internet, and doctors will have the ability to remotely diagnose and operate on patients.

I can't find any news for the pop.  Upgrade?

Could be technical, short-term resistance levels back to 8/14 on the 60-min chart have been blown out.  Now its chewing on the 16.25-16.50 area.  Good volume.

Perhaps some big big buyer has stepped in trigerring execution of higher technical orders? Some news could be soon out. ;)

Garoh

It was mentioned on CNBC and someone said good things about it ...

I didn't see it but a friend told me  :)
