Need help posting a picture/chart

I promise I'm generally pretty good with computers and figuring this kinda stuff out, but I just can't figure out how to attach an image/chart inside my posts.  Can someone give me the skinny here?  I know you have to click the insert image hot key - but then what?

Hi mitchjas,

There are two ways of inserting images in posts:

1 - when you have the image file on your own computer (recommended)

2 - when you want to use an external image from another site (some sites dont allow their images to appear on other sites, stockcharts for example)

Lets start by 1)
- For example you want to post a chart from DIVX stock from stockcharts.com
You go to stockcharts, open your DIVX chart, and then right click the chart and save it to your desktop, for example sc.png, you can change the name to DIVX.png
- now, here on the post page at 3SOF, bellow the text box, you'll find the «additional options» link, click and some more options will drop down, click the «browse» button, pick the image you have just saved to your desktop, and Post (dont forget to include some text on your message, because if you just post a chart it will ask for text on the message, also, you cant use the «preview when attaching charts»)

Now the 2)
- For example you want to include an outside image from another website on the middle of your text, you copy the image url, for example the google logo from google.com:
http://www.google.com/intl/en/images/logo.gif
you post that link on the middle of the text boax, now select all the link and click the button.
