Does anyone know what percentage of stock is owned by the insiders? I can't seem to find this info anywhere.

Thanks

Well, just the CEO, Michael Hill, personally owns 10,150,806 shares, that is, roughly 21% of the company. You can find this info in an SEC form filed in October 18, 2006.

It talks there about convertible preferred shares, but then there's no information on the Q3 balance sheet, I'll have to dig that further.

I am confused. The 91,729 of memberships in January is the total number of memberships correct? Some postings suggest that it is 91,729 new memberships. Still 91,729 memberships X $50 = $4,586,450 in revenues for just one of their businesses for one month.

I'm also confused. The press releases are contradictory:

«Commerce Planet's Consumer Loyalty Group Announces All-Time Records for New Memberships
Tuesday December 12, 7:00 am ET

«Commerce Planet, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CPNE - News) announced today that its subsidiary, Consumer Loyalty Group, enrolled an all-time daily record of 3,466 paid memberships for December 6th, 2006. In addition, the week of December 4th set a new all-time weekly record for membership signups of 19,600.»

eggman11, I guess you're an American, tell me if "New", "enrolled" and "signups" mean new or existing memberships?

Then, on the latest press release, it says:

«Commerce Planet's Consumer Loyalty Group Sets New Record for Monthly Memberships; Fourth Consecutive Month of Order Growth
Monday February 5, 7:00 am ET »

«GOLETA, Calif., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Commerce Planet, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CPNE - News) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Consumer Loyalty Group, Inc. enrolled an all-time monthly record of 91,729 paid memberships for January 2007. This represented another astounding month- over-month increase in memberships from December of over 25% and over 90% from November.»

So, increase in memberships or increase in the increase of memberships?

I'm also totally confused by this. Also, on their website, www.onlinesupplier.com it talks about 740,000 people and on boatguy's link it talks about 1 million costumers.

I think the information is contradictory, if someone could call their investor relations it would be great (if nobody does it, I'll do it myself, but not today, I won't be home today).

But still, as you say, even if that's the total number of memberships, numbers still look great.

Nice report! Its good to see a honest stock report where the people doing the reporting are not getting compensated.

Well, they're getting compensation, and not a small one:

I think it is incredible what companies pay for this kind of profile coverage. I should do a business like Amalfi Research, instead of 3 Stocks, would make a lot more income, lol, just kidding ;D

The report doesn't make me more bullish on the stock, it makes me less bullish >:( Therefore, I reduce my 2007 price target, from $14 to $12 hehehe

I'll continue holding CPNE.OB.

My eyes must of decieved me, I could of sworn I read we did not get compensated etc. But then again they make the small print so confusing you wont catch the important stuff in the first couple sentences.

nullzero

Also like to add AOB had a few paid compensated reports out when it was trading at 5s and look at where its out now :).

neo1221, I just came back home because I forgot something (doesn't matter) and saw that you sold CPNE.OB because of some broken links on one of their websites.

Please consider that CPNE has a lot of websites, the most important being www.onlinesupplier.com.

www.3stocksonfire.org also has broken links and dead parts of the website, despite being a slowly but surely growing business 8)

The important thing to keep in mind is: you can't value a company, or make an investment (in this case disinvestment) decision, by their website. I could ask my little brother to make the most beautiful website you've ever seen (he's a junior web designer) and you know how much it would be worth? Close to zero.

I don't know if the stock will breakout beyond $3 today or not, but if I were you I would jump back into CPNE.OB, your selling motive isn't a sound motive to sell a stock.

Good luck :)

Terliso

I believe with this stock, definitely bullish, Golden Cross in the weekly that suggest that CPNE.ob has good fundamentals. ;)

David, go back to the party & have fun! ;D

Strong breakout over 3! 3.12 currently  ;D on fire!

$$$ ;D >:D >:D$$ Making new 52wk highs as I type this not to mention its at or near the HOD.

You're excited nullzero, but you shouldn't be, always keep your emotions in balance. Or else, to be coherent with yourself, you'll be sad when losing ...

Gains or losses can't make you happy or sad. Be sad when you win and happy when you lose, to counter balance your natural instincts and get to emotional equilibrium.

I bought CPNE.OB "high" for the Main, but that doesn't change the fact that the stock is already the second biggest winner of the Portfolio, and that's what counts!

The chart speaks for itself, fundamentally this is the most attractive stock I've ever studied, just sit tight and let the profits run.

eggman11

I talked to the the Company (CEO Michael Hill)  and got some info.

The 91,729 in membership subscriptions enrolled in January are new members only. (Although they do include existing members, who enrolled in an additional program.)- Very Good News

He would not reveal the churn rate or the total number of subscribers and has no plans to reveal this information to the public, because he does not want the competition to know this information.

The 740,000- approaching 1,000,000 is the total amount of paying company has add since inception. They realize that this number is confusing and will not mention it any longer.

The average subscriber subscribes to 1.5 different plans.

There has been some discussions concerned a move off the big board, but definitive plans ot timetable has been put into action.

Insider holdings are curently about 30%

The are on track to release earnings in the last week of February. (The auditors are there right now, working hard)

Important footnote for earnings. The are very conservative when it comes to recognizing revenue. The recognize subsciption revenue aproximately 21 days after enrollment. Which is after the trial period and time to make sure that initial package will be sent. What this means is that 4Q06 will not include any revenue from the final 3 weeks of December, which will be recorded in 1Q07.

I believe that this quarter earings will great, but next quarter will be even better.

He was very affable and accomodating in answering my questions. He seems enthusiastic and knowledgable. I thank him for his time.

Yeah I know what its like loosing :(. Im actually not to emotion over the trade, I am sitting on a profit already and actually was pondering over if I should take 50% out soon. It is nice however to be up so much in so little time so I am happier then usual, I know when you let emotion control you decisions you will lose almost everytime. Anyway good luck to all those in CPNE hopefully it can continue its trend.

Hello everyone. I bought CPNE for 2.82 per share and was wondering at what price I should take profits. It's had a good run the last few days but that's what makes me nervous. Please only serious investors respond. All nonsense will be ingored.

Don't worry, you'll never get a nonsense reply on this Premium Board.

You need to trust fundamentals to hold a stock for a big profit, because there will always be pressure to make you take a small profit. It's a natural human instinct. Look what Jesse Livermore had to say on the subject, in Reminiscences of a Stock Operator:

«The speculator's chief enemies are always boring from within. It is inseparable from human nature to hope and to fear. In speculation when the market goes against you you hope that every day will be the last day - and you lose more than you should had you not listened to hope - to the same ally that is so potent a success-bringer to empire builders and pioneers, big and little. And when the market goes your way you become fearful that the next day will take your profit, and you get out - too soon. Fear keeps you from making as much money as you ought to. The successful trader has to fight these two deep-seated instincts. He has to reverse what you might call his natural impulses. Instead of hoping he must fear; instead of fearing he must hope. He must fear that his loss may develop into a much bigger loss, and hope that his profit may become a big profit. It is absolutely wrong to gamble in stocks the way the average man does.»

Oops! On My previous post I had a bad typo. The sentence should read "There has been some discussions concerned a move to the big exchanges, but NO definitive plans or timetable has been put into action.  :-\

Great work eggman11, thanks a lot :)

Yes, good news, that means my estimates are more or less correct.

QuoteHe would not reveal the churn rate or the total number of subscribers and has no plans to reveal this information to the public, because he does not want the competition to know this information.

Of course, his main motive isn't the competition, it is the stock market and primarily the consumer market. I bet the churn rate is very high, possibly as high as 50% a month as I was estimating. It doesn't matter all that much for the next 2 or 3 year's of expansion of the company, I believe.

QuoteThe 740,000- approaching 1,000,000 is the total amount of paying company has add since inception. They realize that this number is confusing and will not mention it any longer.

That's the way I understood it.

QuoteThe average subscriber subscribes to 1.5 different plans.

That's nice, those "annoying" phone calls are working.

QuoteThere has been some discussions concerned a move to the big exchanges, but NO definitive plans or timetable has been put into action.

I have no problem with this, CPNE.OB can be a billion dollar company even while it is traded on the OTCBB, FRPT did that.

QuoteInsider holdings are curently about 30%

The CEO also gets 5% of the annual net income of the company as a bonus, so he has a big incentive to push those net income numbers as high as possible.

QuoteThe are on track to release earnings in the last week of February. (The auditors are there right now, working hard)

Cool, delivering on their promises.

I agree. Q1 2007 will beat Q4 2006. There's strong growth on a quarterly basis .

QuoteHe was very affable and accomodating in answering my questions. He seems enthusiastic and knowledgable. I thank him for his time.

Yes, great talk and information eggman11 :)

eggman11 did all the work, all I have to do is to sit tight and keep holding CPNE.OB with strong hands to make a lot of money. I'll do that.
