20.10!   ;D

Anybody know what's the deal?  This is clearly more than a retracement.

The deal is that it is undervalued; the last of the weak hands were shaken out and now it's time to go up.

SILC: WR Hambrecht Starts @ Buy; Sets Tgt @ $25; Analyst Notes
Thursday , June 28, 2007 07:52ET
Issuer: Silicom Ltd (NasdaqSC: SILC)
Analyst Firm:  WR Hambrecht
Ratings Action: INITIATE
Current Rating: Buy
Target Price Action: INITIATE
Target Price: $25.00

Analyst Comments: Silicom is a provider of high-end server networking cards that improve connectivity for servers and add functionality to wide-area data services (WDS), security and other network appliances. The firm believes Silicom will be a beneficiary of the significant growth in key areas of the networking and data infrastructure markets, specifically the wide-area data services market. Although the market is competitive, they believe Silicom has set itself apart through its differentiated product portfolio. The firm's $25 price target on SILC shares is based on 24x their 2008 EPS estimate of $1.05, representing a PEG ratio of 1.

Distribution still stronger than accumulation. Other than that, SILC still trading down the channel and below 50sma.

Yep, I remember reading that post Gorah.  It dipped just below the $17.70 price but not by much. Good call!

WR Hambrecht initiates coverage of Silicom: The share rose on the news and recommendation.

Jul 01, 2007 (Globes - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- WR Hambrecht has initiated coverage of server networking card maker Silicom Ltd. (Nasdaq:SILC; TASE:SILC) with a "Buy" recommendation and $25 target. WR Hambrecht is the only investment house covering the company at present.

Silicom rose 8 percent on the news, narrowing the target premium to 24 percent. Silicom has a market cap of $108 million, after rising 117 percent since January.

WR Hambrecht analyst Ryan Hutchinson says, "We expect to Silicom experience accelerated as the adoption of wide-area data services (WDS) continues. As each WDS appliance should have one to three bypass server adapter cards installed, we expect to see an up-tick in Silicom's business as it sells incremental product to its WDS customers."

Trading at 21.02 in premarket.  Anybody see news?  For some reason ETrade is really slow on the news for SILC.

There are two possible reasons for the rise in SILC today

1)They just announced that earnings will be released on July 23, which some few a positive, some people believe that a monday mornings earnings release is signal that earnings will be good, as opposed to later in the week.

2) according to the Yahoo boards (I don't know if its true), WR Hambrecht said on Friday after the close that they reiterate their buy on SILC and that SILC will report slightly above estimates.

Anyone else still holding SILC?  It is on the verge of breaking the downtrend.  I like the chart right now.  Fundamentals, we all know, are excellent.  I don't think the private placement need be worried about.  Quickly growing co.

I think a lot of TA people could come in and buy on a break of the downtrend.  Quick run to new highs quite possible, imo of course...  Once we clear 23ish, its off to the races, and we're only 2 points away.  A break of this downtrend and a little short squeeze could easily give us 2, 3, 4 points...

Hey bjc,

I am still in SILC and holding on. It has crossed over its 50-day moving average and it turning bullish, plus after the latest earnings report it has a very good chance to move into the IBD top 100 list, which will give it more exposure.

Nice eggman...good day today so far.  That really strange activity that weve been seeing where the bid and the ask stay static for 2 or 3 hours..or maybe it just seemed like that long.  I don't know what to make of it, but it usually results in some bullish activity.

We retested 21 twice after rising above it and now we made a run to 21.50.  That downtrend line is so close...we're currently trading at 21.42.

All technical indicators I use look good.
