GSB is holding up well even as the general market collapses. We don't want no volume or volatility here, I hope GSB just dies here on low volume and then spikes up when there's good news, like the one we'll have on Monday. It's better not to have a "buy before the news" type of action.

GSB is one of those stocks that I'll hold through all bull and bear markets, the business can only get better over the long term.

Someone has bought us a present worth 90k shares of GSB propelling the thing to $5.3 at the closing!  >:D Are we on fire again?!

That was sure a welcome end to the day!  Seems like we are on fire again, probably somebody knows something about earnings  ;)

I sure hope someone knows something that we don't and that it will be all good. The couple stocks I do own from the 3SOF did me quite well today and surely made an interesting end to a depressing week. I need to learn to have more faith in the genius of David Randolph. I just pick what I feel the best picks are out of his choices. GSB, NGA, CIMT, ICOC and I also own EEB which kinda sucked today but hats off to David. Truely a genius in the face of adversity. Keep on going strong Mr Randolph, you are rocking the market.  8)

QuoteMy trendline is still intact...  ;)
I adjusted my trendline a little bit, omitted the long wicked candle from last May.

Good idea, adding some flexibility to the chart. I'll do the same with my chart.

On a fundamental note, I wonder if next Monday news will be enough for GSB to breakout above the $5.25 horizontal resistance level. That sure would be nice, for the stock to accomplish the closing of 2007 in the $8 - $10 range.

I'll adjust my fundamental estimates when we get the results ... I'm just a bit afraid that the market won't be paying 35.84 times EPS if there's a bearish environment. Well, it is paying 70 times 2007 estimated EPS for RVBD, which is a GSB much larger competitor, so ... it's possible (curiously enough RVBD held quite well in the market dip).

I'll continue holding GSB.

Nice rally...... I think GSB will save the Main Portfolio from going in red this year. ;D

GSB rose 12.8% on Friday, probably due to anticipation of today's 2nd quarter results. The company already gave very positive guidance for this quarter:

«GlobalSCAPE (OTCBB:GSCP) announced today, that fueled by the previously announced DOD order, it expects the second quarter revenues to be between $6.2MM and $6.3MM, growth of 170% over 2nd quarter 2006. "The 2nd quarter will clearly set a net high for us in both revenue and earnings," commented Randy Poole, President and CEO. "While this quarter's numbers should not be looked at as the new standard, neither should they be seen as a one time thing," continued Poole. "We believe that from time to time orders of this magnitude will occur and become a part of our business model. We certainly plan to work to that end. Whether they come in the form of government requirements or through other endeavors, we believe our products meet a market need at this level."»

I'll be especially curious about the full year 2007 guidance and if management has more high value contracts in the pipeline.

GSB closed at a new all time high and it is now the 2nd biggest holding of the Main Portfolio. I'll keep holding GSB for the long term.

I just saw your post la-onda:

QuoteCONSENSUS ESTIMATES:

Q2 Revenue: $4.36 million
Q2 EPS: $0.04 per share

This consensus estimate will be easily beaten, since the company already said revenues will be between $6.2 M and $6.3 M as one can read above.

GlobalSCAPE Sets New Records For Q2 2007
Monday August 13, 8:00 am ET
Company Experiences 162% Revenue Growth and 323% Net Income Growth

SAN ANTONIO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GlobalSCAPE (AMEX:GSB - News), leading the market in the integration of Managed File Transfer and Wide Area File Services technologies, today announced its second quarter results.

Revenue for the quarter ending June 30, 2007, grew to $6,418,025, or 162% over the $2,445,327 registered in the 2nd quarter of last year. Net Income increased by 323% to $2,114,876 or $.12 a share on both a basic and fully diluted basis for the quarter.

"I am especially excited about the way our core business, Secure File Transfer and File Sharing continues to explode," commented Randy Poole, President and CEO. "At 60% growth, we would have had a great quarter without the Defense Department order. Since inception in '03, our server-side business has more than doubled each year from $600 thousand in '04 to $2.9 million in '05, to $6 million in '06, and we'll exceed $13 million this year," stated Poole. "Those core products are fueling our steady, if not dramatic, growth and making it possible for us to participate in the very large order arenas that are not as predictable. We'll take advantage of those opportunities as they occur while focusing on the day-to-day activities that have gotten us here," concluded Poole.
