DIVX should rebound for good now.............30's here we come

Monday April 9, 4:48 pm ET
Divx Sees Better 1Q Profit, Revenue
Divx Predicts Better-Than-Expected 1st-Quarter Profit, Revenue

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Video compression software maker Divx Inc. on Monday raised its first-quarter revenue and earnings outlook above Wall Street expectations, sending its shares sharply higher in the aftermarket session.

According to preliminary results, the company said it expects its earnings to be flat to up compared with its fourth-quarter results of 21 cents per share. Previously, Divx had said its profit would be flat to slightly down.

Divx also forecast revenue of between $19.8 million and $20.2 million for the quarter ending March 31. In its previous guidance, the company had said its revenue would be between $17.3 million and $19.3 million.

Analysts polled by Thomson Financial are looking for a more modest profit of 13 cents per share on revenue of $18.7 million.

Co-founder and Chief Executive Jordan Greenhall said the rise in earnings and revenue was due to more consumers choosing their products.

Divx shares climbed $2.50, or 12.4 percent, to $22.60 in aftermarket activity, after closing at $20.10 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

I also gave CECE a chance yesterday, intraday, and it didn't work out.
There is just too much selling pressure.

I'll give it a second shot if it gets down to 10.

We may close in red today. Not much rum left to go up for lenders

Stocks like LEND, CFC, DHI, PHM, BAC, GS keeping are keeping the market afloat in green by running up on short squeezes. Once its apperant the mortgage problem is not getting better anytime and only getting worse the market will fall.

tried to short lend just now at scottrade . no` shares available .
maxi

I also tried putting short orders at 11.30  all morning long 'cause I sensed the gap was to be closed but couldn't find shares available at scottrade,etrade,zecco......that sucks..

Today, I finished transferring most of my funds to my new broker ZECCO.

The first stock I've bought is TRMM and it was a normal and speedy execution.

ZANE.OB - huge volume relative to average, big news, negatrive momentum for now and mixed financials, but might be worth keeping on watch.

I second ZANE.OB,  should we bottom fish this one and catch the rebound?

Just covered 2.84....took longer than I thought.

Did anyone else get in?.....
I know guys, that black ugly tall candle doesn't look so good but I believe with the  numbers they reported this morning it should bounce back to the 9 area soon; if not, I should be looking to get out if 7 does not hold.

I was almost tempted to double down when it hit 7.40.

Heads up on NICH....

They came out with excellent numbers this morning and after gapping up the price has come down for a good risk/reward ratio trade.
7.50 looking like a good support for now.

In at 7.59.

Shorted STEM yesterday, I'm playing this one as a 'sell the news' type of trade.

It went up back so fast on the prospects of yesterday's house vote on the stem cell bill and its deemed for a good drop.

The bill was passed but not with the 2/3 majority vote needed to override Bush's impending veto.

Looking to cover between 2.90 and 2.80.

I have complained about etrades rates and service. I used to be able to trade immediately after making a funds transfer and never had to wait for funds to clear, all of a sudden this isn't good enough for them!! They want to hold the money for days so they can make a few dollars interest while my trading is restricted. They make plenty on commissions from my trading and I am about fed up with the ever increasing fees and unwanted restrictions.

LOL, same experience/opinion here about etrade.
I'm in the process of giving a try those low priced brokers:

-$2.50 at JUST2TRADE (already mentioned above by stockster)
-$2.95 at SPEEDTRADER
-$3.00 at SOGOINVEST
-FREE at BANK OF AMERICA with a minimum $25,000 balance
-FREE at ZECCO with no minimum balance

I'll give them a try to test for trade routing speed and objectivity/neutrality.

On the negative side most of those low priced brokers don't offer a lot of the advanced trading tools that ETrade Pro has.

Back to ONT, I'm also still watching for a second round re-entry .

Very nice entry (and exit), bocasva!

Your entry was a couple of pennies above the channel (green) validation on December 27, and your exit was a few cents from the 1.35 channel (blue) target that MADE.  Nice!

Thanks Melf. I'm always looking forward to your objective TA, applaud.

Today's candle is ugly to say the least. Unless we hear from ONT shortly, it surely will head lower.

I've noticed the MM for ONT has a tendency to open trading 4 to 6 minutes after the regular market open, so I would recommend caution and using a limit order for anyone closing or opening a position around market open.

I sure will be watching it and see if I'm allowed a second round.
