BIPH had news release late in the day Friday.  Not all the buying was completed before the market closed.  Volume and price spiked and held into the close.  Closed at the high of the day on a volume increase.  Expect follow thru on Tuesday.  Daily and weekly candlestick pattern are bullish.  Good for a trade, buy on Tuesday sell on Friday.  Has a possibility for a breakout but the price and volume will have to prove it to be so.

If BIPH gaps on the open Tuesday,  the succes of this trade recommendation is high.  Look at a five minute candlestick for price and volume on Fridays action.

Biophan Files Twelve New Patents in MRI Safety Expanding Intellectual Property Portfolio to More Than 200 Including International Filings
Friday September 23, 4:01 pm ET
Innovations Enable Manufacturers of Pacemakers, Neurostimulators, and Other Medical Devices to Make Products MRI Safe

ROCHESTER, N.Y--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 2005-- Biophan Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: BIPH - News; Frankfurt/FSE: BTN) a developer of next-generation biomedical technology, has announced the filing of twelve new patents, expanding the Company's extensive intellectual property portfolio to more than 200 patents, applications, or licenses. That total includes 156 pending and issued U.S. patents and another 46 international applications.

The twelve new patents teach how a tiny circuit can be added to minimize dangerous heating which can occur when devices such as pacemaker and neurostimulators leads are exposed to MRI signals. The circuits are powered by the energy in the MRI field and dissipate the energy so that heating does not occur. The circuits can be tuned to specific frequencies, such as the frequencies associated with 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla MRI machines. These circuits have been tested under worst-case conditions on representative devices, and can reduce heating to acceptable levels.

The twelve patents teach a variety of ways that these circuits can reduce heating on many types of medical devices that suffer from MRI safety limitations. These include many implantable devices, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and neurostimulators, devices used for Parkinson's, epilepsy and pain control, as well as stimulation devices for obesity control, gastrointestinal and bladder control. In addition to implantable devices, this technology applies to devices used in interventional medicine, including catheters, guidewires, and other surgical tools.

"We anticipate a shift over the next several years, where virtually all biomedical devices currently contraindicated for MRI or experiencing imaging limitations, will be made both safe and compatible for use with MRI. Over $12 billion worth of devices are sold every year with these shortcomings," stated Michael Weiner, Biophan CEO. "It is unfortunate when a patient who needs to be staged for a cancer operation is denied access to an MRI machine because they have a pacemaker or other contraindicated implant. An even more tragic situation occurs when a patient is placed in an MRI machine in spite of the contraindication by a physician who is not aware of the implant, or who does not realize that MRI is dangerous when used with these devices. The FDA issued a new warning recently advising radiologists not to place patients with neurostimulators in MRI machines, as one patient went into a coma after the contraindication was not heeded.

"The optimal solution is for manufacturers to make their devices safe for use with MRI. Biophan has the technology to enable this, and there is now significant activity underway to help make future neurostimulators safe for use with MRI, and some increased activity on the part of pacemaker manufacturers," Mr. Weiner said. "There is no ethical justification to continue to ship medical devices that are not safe for use with MRI, and we are pleased to note the increasing activity on the part of many of the major manufacturers to move in this direction."

As previously announced, Biophan has provided a license for MRI safety and image compatibility, covering multiple products to leading medical device manufacturer Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX - News). Discussions are underway with many other medical device manufacturers in these areas as well.

Biophan-Europe Wins Scientific Award for Research Presentation from Leading European Society on MRI Technology
Tuesday September 27, 3:30 am ET
Honor Spotlights Company's Innovations to Enhance MRI Visualization and Enable Improved MRI-Guided Interventional Procedures

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2005--Biophan Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: BIPH - News; Frankfurt/FSE: BTN), a developer of next-generation biomedical technology, announced today that a research scientist based at its Biophan-Europe division has won an important scientific award for his presentation of novel medical device technologies for improved Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) capabilities. The award recognized Biophan-Europe's presentation at the prestigious 26th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology last week in Basel, Switzerland.

The Cum Laude EPOS Award, one of only eight given in a candidate pool of 520, was bestowed on Erwin Immel, Dipl.-Ing., a Research Engineer with Biophan-Europe and the University of Applied Sciences, Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The Cum Laude EPOS Award titled "Resonant circuits for inductively coupled visualisation of a self expanding stent based porcine heart valve", spotlights Biophan-Europe's research to develop methods to enable effective and clear MRI imaging of vascular implants through the use of the Company's proprietary resonant circuit technology. The Company's active-MRI technology for the imaging of stents and vena cava filters has demonstrated excellent feasibility in preclinical animal studies.

Biophan-Europe's conference presentation highlighted key results and potential implications of its research. These include enabling MRI imaging of heart valve prosthesis to provide doctors a more effective and less invasive alternative to diagnose heart valve function compared to the currently available invasive techniques, as well as the ability to enable a new generation of MRI-guided implantable stent-based heart valves.

Stents are small implantable devices commonly used to prop open arteries to maintain healthy blood flow in cardiac patients. The Company's technology could also be used to enable MRI visualization of stent interiors to diagnose thrombi (blood clots) and tissue growth inside the stents (restenosis) as well as to enable MRI guided implantation. The presentation highlighted the technology's potential to develop MRI-guided percutaneous, minimally invasive implantation of heart valves, according to Biophan-Europe President and CEO, Dr. Michael Friebe.

"Biophan-Europe is truly delighted to win this award from our colleagues in the European scientific community," Dr. Friebe said. "The award recognizes the importance of MRI visualization capabilities for almost a million patients worldwide requiring repair of heart valves."

Biophan-Europe CTO Professor Andreas Melzer added, "We intend to continue to develop innovative solutions in the emerging field of diagnostic and interventional MRI in order to open new possibilities in minimally invasive surgery and interventions without X-ray burden or iodine contrast agents."

Biophan-Europe, based in Germany, is developing a wide range of novel solutions that make implantable medical devices, such as stents, vena cava filters and heart valves, clearly imageable under MRI.

Hi La-onda,

Here's a little in the way of TA, but to be honest, I don't really like what I see :-[

BIPH's share price has been oscillating down a descending and narrowing channel over the last few months, and unless we get some major news, I don't really see it escaping the channel at present.  This means that the descending resistance currently stands at about $2.40, giving little potential upside to this one, unless thee gap is a breakaway gap (which it could be ???)  However, looking back iin the chart, this stock has gapped a lot and for the most part, retraced to fill these gaps, and often immediately.

We could see a move to reach the resistance line tomorrow, but I think it is prettty likely that it will come back down.  We are gonna have to see some real news or a proper bottom befor this trend reverses IMO  :-\

Just me thoughts, here's the chart

Friday December 2, 4:06 pm ET
Purchase Agreement Provides Biophan Opportunity to Participate in Additional High Growth Markets

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 2005--Biophan Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: BIPH; FWB: BTN), a developer of next-generation biomedical technology, announced today it has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire a substantial minority interest in MYOTECH, LLC, the developer of the breakthrough, MYO-VAD(TM) cardiac assist device. Biophan has the option to acquire additional equity in MYOTECH, up to a majority ownership position. The transaction will strengthen Biophan's position in the fast growing multi-billion worldwide market opportunity for cardiac assist devices.

The MYO-VAD is designed to be implanted in a matter of minutes in patients experiencing many types of heart failure. It is the first heart assist device designed to restore full cardiac output to an arrested heart without coming into contact with circulating blood, thereby providing the potential to significantly reduce serious and often fatal complications such as bleeding, clotting and stroke, and infection--problems that plague current heart assist devices. The MYO-VAD provides an option for quickly restoring cardiac output in patients who do not respond to standard resuscitation measures such as CPR and defibrillation. This capability provides the potential to minimize serious damage to the brain and other organs and thereby the potential to improve the outcomes of people who experience sudden heart failure.

Michael Weiner, CEO of Biophan, said, "We are most pleased to be making this strategic investment in MYOTECH. This agreement will enable us to accelerate the development and commercialization of the MYO-VAD cardiac assist device, a significant technology that has the potential to vastly improve the treatment of heart failure with far higher levels of safety and effectiveness than are currently possible. As we have previously indicated, we believe that this device has the potential to generate $100 million in annual revenue for Biophan in approximately five years, prior to which time Biophan expects to hold a majority position in MYOTECH."

Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Biophan's minority interest of approximately 40 percent will be acquired in exchange for approximately 4.9 million shares of Biophan stock and a cash payment of $2.225 million over a six month period. Biophan has the option to acquire up to 54 percent interest in MYOTECH for cash over the next two years.

MYOTECH expects the product to enter human clinical trials within approximately twenty-four months and will seek a distribution relationship with a major device company within twelve to twenty-four months. Biophan's business development experience and contacts in the medical device industry are expected to accelerate commercialization of the MYO-VAD device.

The MYO-VAD is also the only complete heart assist device that is designed to be MRI-safe and image compatible, an important feature and part of Biophan's MRI-safe product strategy. Biophan is a worldwide technology leader in the global marketplace for solutions to make medical devices and surgical tools safe and/or image compatible with MRI environments.

"We believe that MYOTECH's MYO-VAD represents a major breakthrough in cardiac support capability and that it will help to transform the market for next-generation cardiac care devices," Mr. Weiner said. "The situations in which this device could have critical therapeutic impact are wide-ranging. Once the initial product is established in the acute heart failure markets, a follow-on version of the MYO-VAD will be introduced to provide long term support capability to provide novel ways to treat patients suffering from many forms of chronic heart failure such as congestive heart failure. MYOTECH also plans to introduce a minimally invasive deliverable version of the MYO-VAD. Our relationship with MYOTECH, combined with Biophan's existing technologies for MRI safety and/or image compatibility of devices such as stents and pacemaker leads, greatly expands the markets in which Biophan can participate."

MYOTECH is a privately held company based in Rochester, NY. It was founded by a team of physicians and engineers to bring the MYO-VAD to market following years of research to develop and evaluate the technology. For more information on MYOTECH, please visit http://www.biophan.com/myo-vad/.

Biophan Technologies Inc.
(OTCBB: BIPH) $1.52
From a technical analysis view point, we believe the price appears to be attempting to build a base around the $1.50 area and levels near the base may offer long term investors an attractive entry opportunity should this base area hold. Nothing fundamentally has changed with the company and we find no reason for the drop in price off the $3.00 area from July.

We continue to believe Biophan's technology allowing medical devices to be safe and compatible with MRI holds much potential in the $12 billion annual market. We only see the demand for this technology increasing as the public becomes more aware of its benefits.

Biophan currently has 156 U.S. patents, licenses, and applications and 46 international patents and applications. The patents cover areas including drug delivery, nanotechnology (nanomagnetic particle coatings), radio frequency filters, polymer composites, thermoelectric materials for batteries generating power from body heat, and photonics.

The apparent lack of a competitor at this point combined with Biophan's aggressive and dominant patent portfolio lead us to believe the company will be first to market, and once there, will be able to maintain a longer revenue stream life from its licenses.

We continue to find Biophan an attractive long-term revenue growth play for risk tolerant investors.
