The low multiples have my interest and I'm watching. A retest of $4.50 and a hold of the double-bottom there could get me to pull the trigger. My biggest concern is that I've seen BRLC being pumped quite a bit in the past several weeks on various Yahoo message boards.
GO IN THAT HOUSE OF PAIN THAT YOU SEEM TO WANT TO BE IN, BUT GET AWAY FROM ME.  I'M TRYING TO WORK, DAMMIT.

Hello M2Machine,
are you in BRLC? I bought yesterday at 5,31.
Thanks for pick.

m2machine

Hello Nexta,

Yes I am loaded on BRLC and I will not sell until it gets to $10+. Won't bed long my friend.

BRLC looks really strong today. I believe the uptrend will be defined today.

There are 17M short shares that will have to cover ...soon I believe

m2machine, I see you posted here.
Why you started that thread with all 3 stock combined , I will never know.
It just clutters the boards.

m2machine, Here is the info you posted about BRLC, you can copy this and repost as your own and I will delete this post.

BRLC HIGHLIGHTS

For the nine months ending March 31, 2007, GAAP net income was $21.4 million or $0.37 per share, compared to a net loss of $13.4 million or $0.35 per share in the year-ago period.

Revenue for the year-to-date period jumped 270% to $492.4 million from $133.2 million in the preceding year period.

Looking ahead for the fourth quarter, the company anticipates revenue of $190 million to $210 million, predominately from sales of LCD TVs. Six analysts have consensus revenue estimate of $182.19 million for the quarter.

For fiscal year 2007, Syntax-Brillian raised its revenue outlook to a range of $682 million to $702 million from its previous expectation of $650 million to $700 million. Six analysts have consensus revenue estimate of $678.66 million for the year.

One of BRLC's major analysts provided the following insight two weeks ago:

- Driven by strong shipments, higher ASPs and a robust gross margin, we anticipate Syntax-Brillian will handily beat current consensus 4Q 2007 revenue and EPS estimates of $192 million and $0.13, respectively. The quarter ends on June 30.

Accordingly, we are introducing our updated revenue and EPS estimates of $208 million and $0.16 for 4Q 2007 ending June 30, 2007. We are also issuing new calendar year 2007  estimates of $1.08 billion and $0.79, and calendar year 2008  estimates of $1.67 billion and $1.31.

In addition, as the company continues to accelerate its receivables collection, we project cash flows from operations will be noticeably positive in 4Q 2007. Further, our research reveals a huge demand backlog for BRLC's Olevia TVs and ample production capacity. As such, as the company deploys the cash it recently raised, we anticipate meaningful upside to our new estimates.

We reiterate BRLC as one of our top picks for 2007; our target price of $15 is based on the shares trading at less than 20x our 2007 calendar year  GAAP EPS estimate, or a modest 11-12x our calendar year EPS forecast.

The P/S ratio is well below 0.4 and the lowest compared to its peers trading at an average P/S of 2+

Six other analysts rate BRLC from "BUY" to "OUTPERFORM" with also double-digit PPS targets.

On May 30, 2007, BRLC announced that it had closed a public offering of 29.4 million shares at $5.75 for proceeds of about $143.3 million.  BRLC's cash now amounts to $2.5/share.  BRLC said it used about $20.2 million of the proceeds to pay back its debt and plans to use the rest to fund its business expansion.

Congrats to all who bought in June.

Things are looking bright with the latest revenue guidance for BRLC.

I jumped in after hours.

Syntax-Brillian Corp. (BRLC) said it raised its revenue outlook for the calendar year ending Dec. 31 to a range of $1.1 billion to $1.3 billion, up from $950 million to $1.1 billion previously.
The Tempe, Ariz.-based manufacturer of high-definition televisions cited "strong demand and the deployment of the proceeds of our public stock offering in May as well as the cash from the accounts receivable collections."
The company's fiscal year ended June 30.
Syntax-Brillian Corp. also reaffirmed expectations for revenue of $190 million to $210 million in the fourth quarter ended June 30; Wall Street's average view stands at $196 million, according to estimates compiled by Thomson Financial.
In addition, the company is projecting quarterly gross margins "within or above the top half" of the range of 15% to 17% previously forecast.
Syntax-Brillian anticipates reporting results for fiscal 2007 not later than the second week of September.
Shares of Syntax-Brillian lost 16 cents, or 2.8%, to end Friday's trading at $5.56.
Syntax-Brillian reiterated its outlook for its fiscal fourth-quarter revenue, expecting $190 million to $210 million.
The company also expects fiscal fourth-quarter gross margins to be at the high end of its 15% to 17% projection.

BRLC should go up tomorrow.  ;) 200dma and bottom of the gap may provide some resistance.

Yahoo states that 39% of the float is short.   :o

Shares Outstanding6:   62.78M
Float:                               39.35M
% Held by Insiders4:      34.94%
% Held by Institutions4:   48.60%
Shares Short (as of 12-Jun-07)3:   17.01M
Short Ratio (as of 12-Jun-07)3:              6.7
Short % of Float (as of 12-Jun-07)3:   39.00%

But I think BRLC will do well for the rest of the year with the CEO stating the demand is strong for their Olevia brand of HDTV.

Now that many Chinese are making some money they may looking  to buy these HDTVs going into the summer Olympics next year. :D

FORWARD P/E < 7.........0.4 P/S

BLOCKBUSTER QUARTER TO BE REPORTED NEXT WEEK.

GEORGE SOROS AND 43 INSTITUTIONS ARE NEW OWNERS....

ANALYSTS ESTIMATES: 260% REVENUE GROWTH 260% Y/Y...230% Q/Q...NET INCOME GROWTH 3000%+....2008 NET INCOME 83C/SHARE

7 ANALYSTS' AVERAGE PRICE TARGET: $14.4

BRLC is likely the most undervalued under $10 stock in the market today with a forward P/E of 7 and a P/S of 0.4 and growing at 200%/year

Last month BRLC upped its sales guidance to a range of $1.1 billion to $1.3 billion from its prior forecast of $950 million to $1.1 billion for CY 2007. This means that guidance for the next few quarters will be very strong

BRLC also maintained its sales forecast of $190 million to $210 million for the fiscal 4Q 2007 ended in June. Analysts predict quarterly revenue of $196.4 million and a net income of 12c/share.

Compared these results to revenues of $60M and a LOS of 25c/share in 4Q 2006

Also last month BRLC said the company collected $129.6 million from South China House of Technology. CFO Pratt said that South China now has no invoices past due.

This will boost cash flow significantly....a negative cash flow was a knock in the past and a major concern for longs and analysts.

As of the latest short count, over 50% of the float was short shares. I am sure that there was some short covering done yesterday during a terrible market and an obvious attempt to manipulate the stock.

Actually, the float might be even smaller that many think. There were 43 new institutions recently buying....George Soros recently announced BRLC ownership, and over 4M shares went to the Russell 3000 two months ago......

Hi all,
I'm new here.
I had been avg down this stock, but it keep falling down.
Felt something is not right and i think it went  down because investor lose confident on the figure which the company had post.
For rebound, maybe we had to wait untill the next quarter result, then all investor can clear all their douth.
But for one thing sure they just lauch their olevia in Singapore and the price is very competitive.
Anyone had any comment on this stock. ;)

comovaivoce

I am not selling mine until after the 2nd quarter (the Dec quarter). I believe that the CEO purposedly set the bar lower to beat it handily and leave the shorts behind forever.

Nice to know that they started selling in Singapore. I was at a huge shopping mall in Babkok recently and I saw many olevia's at a clothing store replaying the company's offerings. The picyure quality was exceptional.

This is the right time to buy BRLC under $3. Also a great time to grab cheap SMTX, PRXM, RDCM, STRAM, and BLUE shares. All these stocks will double within 6 months. mark this post

Time to get back into BRLC under $3 and ride this boat for about 2 quarters to get maximum returns.

The FOOL's perspective on BRLC's new business model makes a lot of sense. The link below if for The Fool's article on BRLC dated 11/29/2007.

China royalties will improve the botttom line while allowing BRLC to refocus its attention to the more profitable US/Europe/Latin American markets..

http://www.fool.com/investing/value/2007/11/29/syntax-brillian-is-a-hornets-nest.aspx

key portion of the article: (S-B = SYNTAX-BRILLIAN)

Fresh eyes

Sometimes, bringing a fresh pair of eyes to a company helps in seeing things more clearly. In hopes that such is the case today, here's my take on the new and improved S-B.

S-B's old business model consisted of building TVs and, in the U.S., selling them to Target (NYSE: TGT), Sears (Nasdaq: SHLD), and Circuit City, which then sold them down the line to the ultimate end users here. In China, S-B sold to a distributor called South China House of Technology (SCHOT), which in turn sold to local retailers, including Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) subsidiary Five Star Appliance. SCHOT sales constituted 48% of S-B's sales last fiscal year, making SCHOT the company's biggest customer by far.

Under the new model, U.S. distribution remains the same, but Chinese sales are undergoing a complete revamp. Instead of selling to SCHOT for resale to retailers, S-B will move to a licensing model with its "China-based distributor" -- an oblique reference to, I presume, SCHOT. S-B will license the Olevia brand name to SCHOT, which will then buy its own components and manufacture, advertise, and sell its own TVs -- paying S-B royalties for the privilege.

According to Wednesday's press release, the current quarter should see 200,000 to 210,000 units sold in China under the new arrangement, yielding between $2.75 million and $3.25 million in royalties for S-B. That works out to a royalty of between $13.75 and $15.48 per unit. In addition to the Chinese sales, S-B expects to sell another 250,000 to 275,000 units in the U.S. and other non-China countries.

Reviewing the numbers, we can see that most media outlets focused on S-B's prediction that with nearly half of its global market now moving to a royalty-based business model, "sales" in the coming quarter will range between $155 million and $175 million -- lower than analysts' predicted $303 million. This, according to the media, is bad news. But the way I look at it, it's not bad news at all. Quite the opposite.

Put aside the U.S. sales for a moment, and consider the margins that S-B will be earning in China. According to S-B's most recent 10-Q filing, "Average selling prices [ASP] for LCD televisions decreased ... to $556 per unit for the quarter." Now take the midpoint on S-B's predicted per-unit royalty ($14.61), and divide it by this ASP. What you get is about a 2.6% per-unit royalty. Royalties, traditionally being a high-margin revenue stream, could eventually help boost the company's margins.

Meanwhile, having freed itself from the day-to-day oversight of Chinese sales, management will be able to focus on its U.S. strategy. And considering the inroads Vizio has been making here (remember Vizio? This was a song about Vizio), the U.S. seems to be where management's attention is most needed.

Foolish takeaway

Estimates, schmeshtimates. What's important here is that S-B is focusing its attention where it's needed -- the U.S. -- while putting its China sales on a more profitable autopilot. That's good news for shareholders. Yesterday's sell-off was overdone.
