Thanks for the words of incentive mbaugh and kpunarc :)

QuoteDavid, we basically have the same ideas on investing, I would just take some of your picks and time them with sector picks and some core picks.
Like right now I have still have ICOC, GIGM and TBSI,and PZZ,TWIN, SIMO, WPCS, EGO, Core KYE APB MGUand DSF
Watch list CKSW and AKRX

So you own TBSI now? The last time I saw you talking about it you had been stopped out. And GIGM? Stopped on Monday, back in on Tuesday? Excuse me, but your hands are trembling ... and what about those shorts in the general market a week ago? Never heard of them again ...

Anyway, I don't want to mess with you, just learn and help you. The way I see it you just think too much, squeezing every piece of information and receiving inputs from many sides, getting conflicting information. Sometimes you sell because you think the general market will go down, but then you buy because you like the specifics of the stock. Sometimes you like the fundamentals, but because Cramer talked about it, or because guys at the message boards pumped it, you don't like the stock anymore, like that has anything to do with the fundamentals. In the end what you get is a lot of work, a lot of trades, and not an above average long term performance. Of course, when your hand is hot, you make a lot of money. But that never lasts.

Maybe you just need action, so you consider a lot of information coming from all sides as an excuse to do something, or else, where's the fun? Because, even though you may see things clearly, you can't sit tight.

Just my thoughts on what I see from your experiences. I have similar experiences too. Thanks a lot for sharing, we're all learning here.

As for GIGM, I know the stock closed at bit below the ascending support, but the really important technical level is $13.79 on close. But I have no doubts that fundamentals are very attractive, so I'll keep holding GIGM.

Just don't like 8% swings, you still have not recovered from the last one and I am one step ahead.
I usually hedge my portfolio when the market is overbought and sell 2 or 3 stocks and keep the rest.
It works for me instead of going from 23% to 13% back to 18% you never know were you will end up.
If the market went down for 2 weeks you would probable be down to 8% and I would lose around 1 %.

I don't see your logic.

I know you did not get this portfolio up to 300% this way..................... 361 trades in 1 1/2 years

Anyways futures are up should be a good open, will grab some european shares at the open before they pop also  SMCI  looks good ..........

I see that you don't see. Good luck with your trading.

GIGM rose one cent in today's session, which wasn't bad, considering the 1.4% drop in the general market.

What I love about GIGM is the fact that even though the recent past is great, the future seems even better.

Let's take Hellgate London online game for example. There's controversy about the pricing structure of the game, but the latest interviews hint at a $9.95 monthly fee to get the game's elite status. I think this can be a huge success and revenue driver for GIGM. The company is investing aggressively in its marketing:

«Increased expenses in the first quarter, primarily related to the initial marketing launch of Hellgate: London, resulted in a lower operating margin and net income in the period.»

And look at what management said about it over the conference call:

These initiatives already contributed to expenses, but not to revenues or profits. When the game gets to the commercial phase, revenue and profit can only expand ... imagine the net profit margin of this business.

I'll keep holding GIGM.

FYI from yahoo boards

Spoke to Brad Miller   (35 Ratings)

Conclusion: This sinking ship is in reality a "NUCLEAR SUBMARINE".

I called last night at 12:00am, I was surprised he remembered my name since it has been 2 years since I last asked questions about the health of GIGM.

So here it is,

Q: Is Carmen Media Group a dead deal????

Brad replied that it is still active and as a software provider they have delievered the product, M4$, and it is up to CMG to release.

Q: Is there a time limit on how long they, CMG, can hold out M4$ since they hold a 90 day exclusivity????

Brad replied that AW is out of the country and he would be more able to answer the technicalities of the contract agreement w/ CMG.

Q: Is UIM deal for M4$ as good as EP is for both GIGM & UIM.

Brad replied that UIM has a great working relationship w/ GIGM and are both looking forward to the M4$ launch. Also he added that GIGM has several license agreements in place for M4$. Also AW is very excited about Packino and other Japanese games and the possibilities of growth from these games.

Legal issues limited his ability to discuss in detail but the overall phone call was better than I expected. It seems that 2007 is the setup year for GIGM and 2008 is the major growth year for GIGM.

Also discussed and I was surprised was HG:L.

Q: How is HG:L doing and can you tell me about a rumor of a hacker gaining access into HG:L??????

Brad replied that HG:L is expect to launch and it was delayed several times before. He was also very up and hyped about HG:L, graphics and storyline to be better than WOW.

Q: WOW is NCTY only source of revenue and you expect HG:L to be better than WOW????

He is aware of WOW and the revenue it brings NCTY and he is excited what HG:L can bring to GIGM.

I thanked him for mgmt efforts and the direction GIGM has taken from the days of 2003.

I also reminded him that many investors, yahoo message board, want heads to roll for the fiasco of CMG but he replied that once all the programs are set in place they will all produce nicely especially the games geared for the Japanese market. Each time the issue of the Japanese games came to question he referred to AW and his efforts and pride in that area.

That in a nutshell is my conversation w/ Brad Miller head of Investor Relations for GIGM.

So once again my conclusion is to load the boat on this one and reap the benefits later.

David Randolph

I see what GIGM is up to. Because of some misleading reports, expectations for Q2 are pretty low.

When Q2 results are actually released they will produce a positive surprise that will probably make the stock gap up to a new all time high. Here's one more reason for this to be the outcome:

Technically the stock is breaking down, but I'm still winning roughly 10%. My hands are very strong on GIGM, I'll keep holding whatever happens.

Support $13.28 bought some more here.

Looks like GIGM has been trading in this ascending channel for over a year now. It may go down quickly to touch the support and then rebound or trade sideways until the earnings announcement.

I agree, that part of the fundamental strategy must be consideration of the technicals. We cannot possibly outsmart the market even if we think we know something. Perhaps not all big investors have the patience as we think they should, so they move moeny in and out of a stock. GIGM looks attractive, but technically weak short term.
