How do you like earnings? Big disappointment isn't it?

spexculito

They were great. I bought a bunch at $3.44. My average now is $3.92 and I could not be happier. I own 52K shares an I am keeping them until they go to $6+. This is a great buyers market if you have the cash.

Good luck

HAUP WILL REPORT EARNINGS IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS. I EXPECT STRONG EARNINGS DUE TO THE GREATER THAN EXPECTED MSFT VISTA UPGRADING AND WEAK DOLLAR SINCE MOST OF HAUP'S SALES ARE OUTSIDE OF THE US

HAUP had a nice 12.2% jump yesterday without any news that I know of. Technically the stock is still not out of the woods, as you can see in the semi-log scale chart below.

The latest "fundamental" information we got was that Bjurman Barry & Associates sold their whole stake in HAUP, which was 558,500 shares (5.765%) in the beginning of the year.

Hmm, now I see the September quarter results were not out yet, so HAUP is late ... don't know why ... ah, ok, that's because the fiscal year ends in September 30th, 2007, so the company has more time.

HAUP is currently a $40 M market cap company with fiscal 2006 sales of $97 M. EPS in 2006 was $0.24 and I see what, $0.36 in fiscal 2007, so the stock is trading at 11.2 times earnings.

Some people on Yahoo's message board seem excited about some of HAUP's new products. This is a stock to keep under the radar, especially if they can surpass the expectation of IP TV making its products obsolete in the future.

The strongest quarter from a seasonal standpoint is the December quarter, or the fiscal 1st quarter. Perhaps it would be a good idea to buy before the earnings announcement, but I guess everybody already knows about this seasonality, so it wouldn't work ... and Q2 2007 revenue and EPS were lower than in Q2 2006.

I'll keep studying HAUP, good luck if you own it.
