As you can tell by new chart att. resistance line wasn't broken for the buy and has fallon since. Will be interesting to see how this will work out for earnings. Is M&M's using scare tactics to get weak hands to sell before earnings or is this a true indicator of what investors is thinking that their earnings will be.

Could become a possible play for fading the gap up or down...Up for the bears, down for the bulls

I don't know if Wednesdays earnings will help to lift this stock back up. Usually when a stock keeps falling like this before earnings it means low confidence by investors that the earnings isn't going to be good. If it does turn out to beat estimates and positive outlook into next year then I think a rebound will be likely.
It is suppose to start at 1:00 ,,Guess we'll find out Wed.. As I stated this was only paper trading and resistance wasn't broken so I didn't take a position and price has declined since.

It could be the beginning of a double bottom or could be sideways trend. On chart I posted with this reply you'll see two resistance levels that I drew that it would have to break before I consider it a new trend happening.
In your examples you posted it showed two months between each bottom and UGNE has only one that's probably why it's hard to tell if it's a double bottom.
I'll definately be watching this one and keep posting as the results become more clear.

Guess this would have been a good play. Wonder if uptrend will continue. Double bottom usually signals beginning of a new trend taking shape.

Still waiting for confirmation of a new uptrend. Has fallon back to 50 MA and if uptrend is true we should see a bounce back up.

After reviewing it I decide to choose ARLP : Alliance Resource Partners LP because it shows exactly what I should be looking for if I had bought this stock two or three weeks ago. Also it was at the #2 spot of the top five. When playing the earnings play you buy the stock two or three weeks before earnings because that is when it begins to climb if it is favorable to show a good report.

The only differance is if I had bought this stock two or three weeks ago I would have sold it Friday for the play.
A rule for playing earnings is to sell before the annoucement. Very important that you follow this rule. Sometimes even with a good report it can fall because usually the price is figured in before the annoucement of what it should be and might begin to fall back down.

I'll be posting another example later that shows unfavorable results and it is one I now hold and will as the rule goes to sell before earnings which is thursday so I'll be selling it between Monday and end of trading on Wednesday. Just hoping the loss will be minor

The chart is screaming out. I would like to see more volume but volume is steadily growing after earnings along with increase in price. I'm seeing a new uptrend happening.

It has fallon back since last post and believe if uptrend is to continue it should be now

Target 20 MA was hit today so starting Monday I'll start using 50% sell rule and continue each day till my stop is hit. Stop loss will now be .87 that is half way between todays trading.
1000 shares @.94 todays closing price  = 940.00 gain of 240.00 since 11-20-07 not bad so far. This might become a breakout to bad it's only paper trading,,I'm losing some good money here.

Ended day @3.21 gain of 43.00,,not bad for so far,,target price is now 3.69 and setting stop loss @3.00 because volume wasn't as good as I was hoping.
Also three more stocks on list gave buy signal today,,two was strong and one weak. I'll be posting them this weekend.
