IFN
If the Globalization and the emerging consumer is to be taken as the core investing concept then your portfolio is incomplete if you dont have any Indian exposure. From my personal knowledge, both in India and Pakistan, its the big and established industires that becomes bigger and bigger then the small fish. And that may also be true of China, though someone who actually has spend time may have better knowledge. So looking for small or mid caps would be really too much risky. Therefore, its good to have  IFN, a real mix bag of growing companies. I know this is kind of thing David dont include in the main but its worth looking at.

I own IFN in my personal account. A brief outline of IFN, the India Fund, is as under.

==================================================================
India Fund, Inc. operates as a nondiversified closed-end management investment company. It primarily invests in Indian equity securities. The fund's portfolio comprises investments in cement; chemicals; computer hardware, software and programming, and training; consulting services; consumer nondurables; diversified industries; electricity; electronics and electrical equipment; engineering; extractive industries; fertilizers; finance; food; hotels and leisure; household appliances; media; petroleum; pharmaceuticals; retail stores; steel; telecommunications and equipment; textiles; transportation; vehicles and components; construction/building materials; and shipping sectors. Advantage Advisers, Inc. serves as the investment adviser of the fund. India Fund was founded in 1993 and is based in New York City

Hi stocky, nice to read things from you :)

IFN, or the "India Fund", would be a macro call and I'm not into that right now. But I think its good to have these funds and ETF's here in the Watch List, so that we're aware of what's going on with specific countries and sectors.

Specifically to IFN, it is still bearish over the short term. It needs to make a new high above $48.29 and close meaningfully above the 50 days SMA, currently at $48.92.

I'll keep an eye :)
