Hey Wrangler, I hope you don't mind me posting this here or asking, but would you mind taking a quick look at MALL for me? I got lucky and sold this very near the high, it would be great if I could get back in near the bottom. Great fundamentals, it's just NOT the kind of stock you'd really want to hold through a recession. Does it look like it might have hammered out a bottom possibly?

Your opinion appreciated as always.

Hi BigSully1,,how's your day going
Just got in from work and seen your question and have been checking it out on chart,
For short term from one day to two weeks,,bottom bounce, yes with target of 9.45
For long term ,,no,,it has crossed back down below weekly 40 MA and has stopped outperforming the S&P
Off Stockcharts.com find the Weekly Gallery stock chart where the line depicting the stock performance vs the S&P moves up. the pattern is a PPS that moves up and surpasses a previous peak on the chart and corrects down then goes back up to a new high (the signal). It's a breakout and alot of traders will pick this up on scans because we all look for MOMO or stocks that will out perform the S&P. Buy and hold timeframe is up to you. Could be a couple of hours or dayshold. These moves are VERY DYNAMIC. After entering the trade stay on top of the hourly chart to sell into an overbought RSI or MACD turndown or non confirmation of a new high in PPS(IMO).

Hope this helps and as always "just my opinoin"

Thanks much for your help Wrangler. yeah it is only be a ST bounce play for me now. Wouldn't want to hold very long with the very real possibility of recession looming. Again thanks and applaud.

BigSully1

By the way wrangler, you were very right about PCR. It's getting a bounce today, but I never did buy.

20 MA has been hit BigSully1 if you played this bounce. Would use 8.00 for stop loss. it has had some good volume coming in for last three days ,,it could continue but use stop loss to protect profits.

Thanks Wrangler. I let go of all of it on Friday, some as high as $9.00. I was fortunate to have made a very good profit on it. A couple others I bottom fished has not worked out as well.

I bought TBSI last Wed. for a bounce play and have a decent gain there, but it will likely give it up tommorrow.

Best to be short, be protected, or stay on the sidelines for now, IMO.

Hi usedcasting
Everything has been great,,just trying to kick the smoking habit. It was my New Years resolution and so far I haven't smoked,,it's been tough though....wish me goodluck.
I don't know how long and what price you bought COMS but when I look for stocks for long term investments I look for stocks that is beginning to outperform the S&P on weekly chart. Right now it has been outperforming 10-2007 but has come back down to hit S&P since Dec. but staying above S&P. What I look for now to confirn the uptrend is stock price or candles to move above 40 MA on the weekly chart. So,,if your willing to hold for a little while longer to see if it can continue to beat S&P and watch for jump above 40 MA on the weekly I think you'll be on your way of recovery.
From looking at chart I'm thinking it will happen
This is " Just My Opinion"
Goodluck with whatever you decide to do
DESC : Yes , I think it is close to heading higher for short and long term plays : JMO also

Out of the above watchlist that I last posted you might want to check out these as possible long term plays.  They have been the best performers since post.  For long term plays I use weekly using 40 MA over a period of at least two years.
