Buddjas, I  like what you have started here. What took you so long? ;D I followed your lead and got  shares at same price you did. Will probably follow your exit also. Applauds several times now.

Are you still sticking to David's LT investment plan with your "real" money? Not me. I'm becoming less of a LT investor and more of a trader all the time now and have to say I'm really enjoying it. I doubt I will ever go back now, at least until I tire of it or burn out. Still have much to learn on the technical side though.

I  picked up a fairly large amount of GSB shares for the first time near the close today. I had some outstanding orders that I didn't think would ever fill, but most of them did when  someone made some dumps 20 minutes before the close. Maybe stops got triggered? They are already green, hoping they stay that way.

Thanks BigSully for the nice comments.  I've always wanted to see if I could turn a little into a lot, but I guess I wanted to wait until the time was worst (the current bear market).

I no longer believe in long term investing.  Rather, I believe in making money, through whatever method is working at the time.

QSC looking good pre-market, with 2000 shares sold at 4.35 already--lending some verification to the after market buying yesterday.

Bull-pennant break out.  Could we see $4.40 end of day?  That would be great.

buddjas1

Well, not quite $4.40, but a good day, nevertheless.

So, Week 1 performance:

Me = $463.63 to $523.79; + 13.78%
Dow = 12,264 to 11,894; - 3.02%

I would have done better without the $29.97 in commissions, but that's part of the game.

For Week 2, the beginning at least, I will stay with QSC.  $4.51 is all I need for 10%.  I think $5.00+ is likely; after all it started at $5 on Tuesday, after the earnings release.

QSC disappointed today and appears to be range-bound.  If QSC breaks the range to the down-side, then I'll be forced to sell  to preserve capital.  Hopfully, that won't happen.

In a normal market, QSC would have touched $5 today.  Alas, now is 2002 again.

looking at the stochastics it looks like the daily stochastics are starting to turn upwards so it could be a good day tomorrow.  ;)

buddjas1

Thanks for the TA.  I've never followed the Stos, but if it portends good news, I'll take it.

QSC continuing to consolidate today.  Up 1.25%.

CTBK breaking out.

In at 20.20 in another account.  I wish I had more capital in this exercise, so I could diversify and catch other stocks like this; I'll stick with QSC for this exercise.

buddjas1

QSC continues to consolidate, almost flat-lining today.

CTBK should go to $30 is short order, with the powerful breakout today.

Catching some nice moves again Buddjas1. Well done on CTBK.

Seems the market doesn't want to reward QSC though.

Thanks Aussie.  CTBK looking good.  I don't see a problem until $32.

buddjas1

The market is about to reward or punish QSC.  Not much room left to consolidate.  It will breakout one way or the other.  Given the $0.45 EPS posted last week, I'm betting up.  However, I am prepared to sell if it wants to go down.  No love for QSC here and the market is smarter than I am.

AussieTrader

The QSC daily chart has set up a bear penant which most likely outcome will be downside breakout with around $3 target. I mean I hope that is not the outcome, just how it looks to me.

I will let the market decide what I should do with QSC.  I still see the trend as positive, although I surely recognize the bull pennant.  With $0.45 EPS for the Q, there should be more buyers than sellers.  We'll see.

I may pick up NGA, as a replacement if NGA is really taking off tomorrow, while QSC continues to trend.  I want more confirmation on the breakout tomorrow morning; but the evidence is there.
