The stock made a tremendous gain of 210% since June 2006 and in the past few weeks has
given back some of that gain. Currently the stock is trading at $14.50 a
share and has a 52 week high of $18.25 and a low of $5.26.

POZEN announced in March that the amended response to a previous FDA approvable

(Trexima is the proposed brand name for the combination
of sumatriptan succinct, formulated with RT Technology and Naproxen
sodium, in a single tablet for the acute treatment of migraine ). The FDA
has also notified POZEN that it expects a Class II review (six months),
which could result in a new decision date of August 1, 2007. Pending
FDA approval, the product could be available to patients in the second
half of 2007.

April 20 (Reuters) - Citigroup started coverage of Pozen Inc. (POZN.O: Quote, Profile , Research) with a "buy" rating and a $28 price target, saying there was an 80 percent chance of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approving the company's migraine drug Trexima.

Pozen is developing the drug in a partnership with Britain's GlaxoSmithKline Plc (GSK.L: Quote, Profile , Research).

Citigroup said if the FDA approves the drug then Pozen's shares could trade to $35 in a year, and the company could gain a significant market share in the $2 billion migraine market.

NEW YORK, March 23 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Robert W Baird maintain their "outperform" rating on Pozen Inc (POZN.NAS). The target price is set to $26.
In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company's response to the FDA approvable letter for the Trexima drug, filed in February, has been officially accepted. Pozen "outperform," estimates revised

Friday, March 09, 2007 2:39:14 AM ET
RBC Capital Markets
NEW YORK, March 9 (newratings.com) - Analyst Ken Trbovich of RBC Capital Markets maintains his "outperform" rating on Pozen Inc (POZN.NAS), while revising his estimates for the company. The target price is set to $20. In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the company has reported its 2006 net revenues short of the estimates. The analyst adds, however, that Pozen has posted its net losses per share for the year lower than the estimates due to lower-than-expected G&A expenses. The EPS estimate for 2007 has been reduced from $0.64 to $0.08. The EPS estimate for 2008 has been raised from $0.26 to $0.83 to reflect a possible shift in the milestone payments from AstraZeneca to December, 2007.

Zacks Analyst Interview Highlights: Pozen and GlaxoSmithKline
Monday , May 07, 2007 06:00ET

CHICAGO, May 07, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Zacks.com releases the latest Analyst Interview. Today's interview is with senior analyst Jason Napodano, who discusses Pozen (Nasdaq: POZN) and GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK).

A synopsis of today's Analyst Interview is presented below. The full article can be read at http://at.zacks.com/?id=2678.

You've been bullish on Pozen, Inc. for a couple months, at least. How is this company performing at this point?

We upgraded the stock in March after their fourth-quarter report. Pozen (Nasdaq: POZN) is a stock that's been up and down and all over the place over the past year, but we upgraded the stock in March and we're bullish on the name right now because we see some clear catalysts on the horizon. Pozen's got a drug right now under FDA review called Trexima, which is a combination of sumatriptan - which is a drug sold on the market called Imitrex for migraines - and another drug called naproxen, which is sold over the counter - you might know it as Aleve. So Pozen combined these two drugs into one, and has now filed for FDA approval for the treatment of migraine headache attacks. The FDA is set to rule on the application on August 1st. This is an application that the FDA has previously not approved - they granted it something called "approvable" - and Pozen and their partner GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) had to go back and show some additional safety data. But we really think that they've got the correct application filed now and they've got all the necessary data. We think the FDA will act on August 1st and approve the drug, and that should be a major catalyst for Pozen shares.
They'll get not only $10 million for approval from their partner Glaxo, but they'll get another $10 million when Glaxo launches. That alone should put the company into profitability in the third quarter. And it will be a short time after that before they get sustained profitability just based on the royalty payments from sales of this drug, which we think could approach $1 billion.

Pozen initiated with "buy"

Friday, June 01, 2007 3:27:03 AM ET
Morgan Joseph & Co

NEW YORK, June 1 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Morgan Joseph initiate coverage of Pozen Inc (POZN.NAS) with a "buy" rating.
The target price is set to $24.
In a research note published yesterday, the analysts mention that the expected PDUFA date for the company's lead candidate Trexima for migraine is August 1. The drug is likely to be successful commercially, since it would replace GlaxoSmithKline's Imitrex, which generates sales of $1.1 billion last year, serving 51% of the migraine market, the analysts say. Trexima has better efficacy and comparable safety to Imitrex, Morgan Joseph adds.

POZEN Sees Gains on Friday
from FDA Update of Trexima(TM)
Shares of POZEN, Inc. (POZN) got a boost in Friday's session after
announcing plans to submit a response in the nest ten days to the FDA
regarding the Approvable letter on the New Drug Application (NDA) for
Trexima(TM). This drug is being developed for the treatment of acute
migraine. POZEN and its collaboration partner, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK),
recently met jointly with the FDA to discuss the proposed plan for responding
to the Approvable letter. The submission will include clarifying
non-clinical information to further address the agency's concern regarding
the genotoxic potential of Trexima and a routine clinical safety update.
POZEN will request an expedited review, but the FDA may take
up to six months to review this submission. Trexima is a proprietary
single tablet containing sumatriptan succinate, a 5-HT 1B/1D agonist
formulated with GSK's RT Technology(TM), and naproxen sodium, a
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Trexima incorporates
POZEN's MT 400 technology, which refers to POZEN's proprietary
combinations of a triptan and an NSAID. Most of the multi-billion dollar
worldwide prescription market for migraines is represented by triptans.
Although this class of drug represents a major breakthrough in migraine
care, fewer than 40% of triptan patients consistently get 24-hour pain
relief. Also, triptan use is not recommended in patients with known
cardiovascular risk factors. The are approximately 16,500 deaths and
100,000 hospitalizations yearly resulting from gastrointestinal complications
attributed to the use of NSAIDs. POZEN is focused on innovative
drug development to provide a "safer NSAID." The Company's
technology is designed to contain an immediate release acid inhibitor
with a delayed release NSAID in a single dosage form. The Company
is collaborating with AstraZeneca (AZN) in a Phase III trial for a proprietary
fixed dose combination of naproxen with the proton pump inhibitor
Nexium(R)(esomeprazole magnesium) in a single tablet for conditions
such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in patients who are at risk
for developing NSAID-associated gastric ulcers. An NDA is targeted for
the first half of 2009. The Company has also completed a Phase I study
evaluating oral lornoxicam, an NSAID currently marketed in Europe and
Japan, in the management of acute pain conditions. Traditional NSAID/
gastroprotective agent combination products or combination product
packages include Pfizer's(PFE) Arthrotec(R) and TAP Pharmaceutical's
Prevacid(R) NapraPAC. Pfizer's COX-2 inhibitor, Celebrex(R), can be
taken with a separate proton pump inhibitor. Net loss attributable to
common stockholders for the three months ended June 30, 2007 was
$(0.13) per share as compared to a net loss of $(0.29) per share, for the
three months ended June 30, 2006. Revenues were $11.9 million for the
quarter. The Company reported an accumulated deficit of $137.8 million
and $53.7 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments.
There are a relatively small number of POZN shares that are traded in
the market. Four of the stockholders and their affiliates beneficially hold
approximately 33% of the outstanding shares.

Shares of POZN
Spike on FDA Approval of Treximet
Wednesday's session saw green spread across the board as
upbeat results from Intec Corp, J.P. Morgan Chase, and Coca
Cola helped lift sentiment. IBM and eBay reported after the
bell which also weren't as bad as expected. eBay saw a slowdown in its core
business but benefited from the weakened dollar, which also put in a record
low on Wednesday. The gains may be short-lived if earnings on Thursday do not continue
the streak.
Causing more trepidation was economic data in the form of the Beige Book but the market
showed little reaction to the release of the data which found the economy weakened further
since mid-March. The CPI was even at .3%, matching estimates while Oil also topped $115
a barrel. Even with the downbeat market data, earnings surprises lifted the Dow over 256
points.
Some larger cap names that are expected to report on Thursday include which are of interest
include: TD Ameritrade, E Trade, Harley Davidson, Pfizer, and Advanced Micro Devices.
In the small cap space, one name saw an increased amount of attention following some positive
news. GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and POZEN Inc. (POZN) announced that the FDA has
approved Treximet(TM) for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in
adults. Treximet is the first and only migraine product designed to target multiple mechanisms
of migraine by combining a triptan, a class of migraine-specific medicines pioneered by GSK,
and an anti-inflammatory pain reliever in a single tablet.
Treximet contains 85 mg sumatriptan, formulated with RT Technology(TM), and 500 mg
naproxen sodium. Sumatriptan is the active ingredient in Imitrex(R) Tablets, available in 25
mg, 50 mg and 100 mg strengths. In clinical trials, Treximet provided a significantly greater
percentage of patients migraine pain relief at two hours compared to sumatriptan 85 mg or
naproxen sodium 500 mg alone. In addition, Treximet provided more patients sustained migraine
pain relief from two to 24 hours compared to the individual components.
Treximet is well studied, with more than 3,700 migraine sufferers treating nearly 30,000 migraine
attacks in clinical studies. The product is expected to be available in U.S. pharmacies
by mid-May. The approval of Treximet was based on data from two identical double-blind,
randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, multicenter studies of more than 2,900 migraine
sufferers.
Findings from these pivotal studies demonstrated that Treximet provided more patients migraine
pain relief at two and four hours compared to sumatriptan 85 mg, naproxen sodium
500 mg or placebo alone. Importantly, in these studies Treximet was effective at relieving the
pain of a migraine attack and maintaining that relief from two to 24 hours. In addition, Treximet
effectively relieved migraine associated symptoms -- nausea and sensitivity to light and sound
-- compared to placebo.
Following the news, shares of POZEN jumped some 28% on almost 13 million shares traded.
With any follow through pending a favorable overall market, the name could be one to
watch.
