hi jeg

I have not traded uyg/skf in a while - I think there is something wrong with both of them.  Sometimes xlf does better than uyg - very unusual.  I have gone back to qqqq and qid/qld, as well as eev instead of skf.

Looks like you are no longer posting on yahoo uyg board?  If you post anywhere else can you let me know - you are a good trader and I would like to keep in touch and learn more day trading from you.

thx

what do you think of JBLU?

Hi pino,

Sorry, I was not able to get back to you righ away.

I was busy with SKF and UYG at the yahoo message boards.

I did try to chart JBLU when I received your post.

I don't know what's happening with JBLU ( not following it).

However, here are my annotations:

a) Chart when I first received your post

b) Recent chart with previous annotations unchanged.

I don't have much time to trade other stocks right now (since SKF and UYG are keeping me quite busy already).

Good luck with your trades. :)

mdszj,

I'm still very active at the UYG yahoo message board and post at the SKF board every now and then.

You may not see my posts at the UYG board (coz someone seems to deliberately hide my posts from the view of most traders).

I hope you are making lots of money (wherever you trade). :)

Here was  my response to kzgp (a new trader I met at the UYG message board) on October 21, 2008:

I also like buying in separate lots compared to going all in.

You never know (until it's there), your 10.55 entry may go up all of a sudden.

However if it doesn't, let's have this sceneario with your 2000 shares per position:

Lot #1 at 10.55
If right - take some profit.
If wrong, go to lot #2.

Lot #2 at 9.77
If right, take some profit (maybe at 10.55?)
If wrong, go to lot #3

Lot #3 at 9.29
If right, take some profit
If wrong, go to lot #4

Lot #4 at 8.81
Just repeat

That's just and example of how I would do it.

However, the decision is up to you.

Please do your due dilligence.

My interest on Elliot Waves was revived recently (after seeing Daneric40's posts at the SKF board).

I plan to learn more of it (so much to learn - just went through all these information quickly before).

Lately, I've been following Daneric40's posts.

I also intend to follow Kenny's post.

I'm also glad to see Melf back in action. :)

I started to read up more on the Elliott Wave Theory:

http://www.investopedia.com/articles/tec...

but ended up putting it on hold again.

I ended up charting UYG's 20 year/daily chart with what I know so far ( there is still way for me to learn, lol).

I'll try to paste a chart here to get opinions from more experienced chartist.

Here is what I've done so far (and will be adding more annotations (as more info comes in).

Added more annotation and notes with a close up shot:

Added a 4th descending trendline (gold).

Labeled the swings 1,2,3,4,5 and a,b,c and started count 1 and 2 so far.

UYG closed as a green candle.

If it creates a higher high, friday's candle will be labeled as 3 (in blue).

If it creates a lower low, then I'll be waiting for a higher high before I label it as 3 (in blue).

How steep can SKF's angle of attack be before traders view it as  too steep?

The steeper it gets, the more expensive it becomes.

So far, Futures are up.

Will UYG break out of the 4th descending trendline (gold)?
