Aussie,
I bought this share yesterday at 1.71. I think,it'll move up after a small retreat.
Do you have a stop loss for it? Also, any comments on the stock behavior?
Dhiraj

stocky

Strong support at 1.5 present. Another one at 1.4.

MCEL closed with a nice hammer candle with a perfect retest of the 9ema. Selling pressure still there but buyers are closing the stock nicely. Hammer is a bullish indicator, it will need follow through to confirm and take on the $1.78 recent spike an dclose above it to then set up a new support area around $1.75. I have a stop trailing the 9ema.

Thanks,

Thanks dhiraj19 ;)

I've just merged both topics.

LuxAA, I'me recommending all our members to search for the ticker on our «Search» Feature, in order to post their messages on the right spot (The right board, and the right Topic).

This is the «Stock Picking» Board, so members should only start a new topic if they are recommending a stock, questions about stocks should be made on «Stock Talking» or inside topics already started about that stock.

best regards ;)

Might be worth it to keep an eye on MCEL today  ;)

It seems to be a busy little stock this morning.

I haven't been able to find any news on it.

Anybody else?
Happy trading...

Millennium Cell Selected to Receive Funding to Advance Volume Manufacturing of Portable Fuel Cartridges
07/25/2005 08:15
Millennium Cell Inc. (NASDAQ: MCEL), a leading developer of hydrogen battery technology, announced today that its proposal to develop a process that will enable volume manufacturing of fuel cartridges based on Millennium Cell's proprietary hydrogen storage technology has been selected by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences ("NCMS") for contract award under a cross-industry collaborative partnership between NCMS and the U.S. Department of Energy. This program targets the development of manufacturing technologies for affordable hydrogen-powered energy systems including fuel cell components and hydrogen storage systems.

Millennium Cell will lead a team which includes The Dow Chemical Company ("Dow"), EWI and NextEnergy, to develop critical manufacturing technology that will reduce the overall process and product costs of hydrogen storage technology for near-term implementation in portable power applications. NCMS funding towards the 15 month effort should begin in the third quarter.

Adam P. Briggs, President of Millennium Cell, commented, "We are delighted to be selected by NCMS for this program and look forward to working with an outstanding team to develop low cost manufacturing technology as we transition our hydrogen battery fuel cartridges from prototypes to commercially viable products."

The NCMS award will accelerate Millennium Cell's joint development program with Dow to collaborate on the development and commercialization of portable fuel cell systems.

My theory is that if SIRI can run to $9 on the promise of Howard Stern, MCEL can run to $29 on the promise of hydrogen powered cars...

Likewise, if GOOGLE can run to hundreds on bullguano, MCEL can make us all rich.  Beyond candlesticks and momentum there's occasionally a "scientific advancement" play that dovetails with the mass market.  ALT FUELS and STEM CELLS to me are the best sectors for one's IRA money with a time horizon of at least 10 years.   That said, there's short term profit to be made with MCEL in 2005...I wouldn't be surprised to see $5 by year-end.   More news like this and it will become more expensive than SIRI shares.
