Researching stocks

I have made this one of my most visited sites every day to learn of new potential finds and think it is great.
My question is where does everyone find news or leads on the next stock pick.  Is there a site that you search on volume to discover what the market is moving into? or a research site you are entering the search criteria to come up with a list to look at further and what parameters do you search on?

Thanks all,

Rogue Trader

If you like to find nice technical conditions, try Wealth Lab or Metastock with a good database.

I also appreciate this site. I am planning to get a lot of investment ideas from
here.

Hi daldrich,

If you want to find stocks based on technical conditions, the best software's are:
- Metastock
- Omega - Tradestation
- Wealth Lab

If you want to find «rumours», then you just have to search a lot, and know how to filter the info you get in order to detach the noise from it ;)
One simple way to find stories, is to check the biggest movers with Huge relative volume during the session, then investigate some news that may not be fully discounted or interpreted by the market, make some technical studies and include it on your watch list... In some extreme cases, you may want to buy first, and ask questions later ;)

There is no special rule to find good stocks... the best way, is never stop searching ;)  and once you find a nice one, you must keep the search on other ones, because you can never fall too much in love with one stock (you may have to dump it anytime, and the stock don't even know that you exist anyway) ;)

Working in community like we are doing in this website, makes this kind of work a lot more easier.
