Too bad i only was able to buy only 80K shares, so profit was minimal..but, it was profit!

I bought and sold SSTY today for a small profit, mostly because I don't know what to expect from this kind of stock (especially as a pinky).  Too often, I see companies in the OTC and Pink Sheet boards come out with what seems like stellar reports on present and future earnings only to see share price decline afterwards.  So, SSTY says it is making deals with China which could obviously be huge for the company, but how is the potential of such a deal determined, especially when it comes to buying and selling the stock?

This stock is getting a ton of attention.  In fact, I don't know that I've ever seen such high expectations for a pink sheet stock (just take a look at some of the message boards hyping this stock).  The anticipation is that the pps will run up to the demonstations in China next week, and really take off if any contracts are announced.  The company is hitting two current hot spots in the stock market: security plays and China.

How high this can really go remains to be seen, but there was no way that I was going to miss out on the fun.  I'm in.   

I think it's been halted

That would be the second pink sheet stock I am in that has been halted.

What is going on, anyone know?

What's usually the outcome of halts?  Them being too speculative?  No news out yet.

Trading halted until August 16, 2005, pending SEC investigation of its recent claims.

I guess this explains why the news seemed too good to be true for a .014 stock.   

You win some and you lose some.  If things don't work out here, take the tax loss and move on to the next one.  There will be other opportunities.
