Bullish MACD Crossover @ centerline..... ;)

A bullish centerline crossover occurs when MACD moves above the zero line and into positive territory. This is a clear indication that momentum has changed from negative to positive, or from bearish to bullish. After a positive divergence and bullish moving average crossover, the centerline crossover can act as a confirmation signal. Of the three signals, moving average crossover are probably the second most common signals.

Livana

IBAS came up on my screener today. I really like the setting and the current uptrend. In addition, fundamentals are good.. I don't feel like posting this right now, but I'll elaborate a litte later.

Livana

IBAS is up 20% since I mentioned it on 4/26.
I like the chart and the fundamentals on this one. It also got upgraded on 4/27.

Financially, I'd like to see the earnings from quarter ending March 31 before making a final buy decision. December quarter had a net income of $621K, compared to a $1.7M loss the prior quarter.
Current ratio is 1.5, which is good.
Long-term debt went up in December from September ($2.2M from $2.0), but significantly lower than the $54M in June.
And off course, the company has a posistive cash flow! $6.6M for quarter ending December 2005.

Technically, the stock has had 2 "bump" since late February, both with retracement at 61.8.
The last 4 sessions brought the stock up 20%. If the same retracement happens this time too, I would expect the stock to come down around 2.42 and bounce back up.

It also is setting up for a Golden Cross.

UPDATE 3-KPN merges unit with iBasis, gets majority stake........... ;)
Wed Jun 21, 2006 7:50am ET

AMSTERDAM, June 21 (Reuters) - Dutch telecoms group KPN (KPN.AS: Quote, Profile, Research) will merge its international wholesale voice business with iBasis (IBSE.OB: Quote, Profile, Research) and pay $55 million for a majority stake in the combined company, the two companies said on Wednesday.

KPN (KPN.N: Quote, Profile, Research) is paying Burlington, Massachusetts-based iBasis to get a 51 percent stake in the company formed from the combination of KPN Global Carrier Services and iBasis (IBAS.O: Quote, Profile, Research).

The deal puts together KPN's wholesale voice network in Europe and Asia with iBasis's footprint in the Americas and Asia.

But shares in KPN fell amid lacklustre analyst enthusiasm for the deal and after a Dutch telecoms regulator detailed a plan that will cut the fees KPN's mobile unit collects for calls into its network.

KPN shares were down 2 percent at 8.60 euros at 1100 GMT, trading at 13 times projected 2006 earnings, still higher than the 11 time price-earnings ratio for Dutch blue-chips <.AEX>.

"Consolidation of iBasis revenues will contribute to the growth of our fixed activities and increase the contribution of IP-based services in our portfolio," KPN's Chief Executive Ad Scheepbouwer said in a statement.

Internet Protocol(IP)-based refers to voice calls and other telecoms traffic that are transmitted in digital packets similar to the handling of Internet data.

The new company is expected to have revenue of $1.2 billion to $1.25 billion in 2006 and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of $45 million to $50 million, the companies said.

"The deal with iBasis is a logical move," Petercam analyst Thijs Berkelder said in a note. "The international voice wholesale business is an industry where price pressure is extremely high and where scale is essential to survive."

Based on iBasis's 2005 revenue of $400 million and KPN's $800 million from its wholesale voice unit and excluding $100 million in existing business between the companies, the combined company would have had 2005 revenue of $1.1 billion.

Shareholders of iBasis will receive a cash dividend of $113 million immediately after the deal closes, expected by the end of 2006.

The new company, which KPN and iBasis said would have virtually no debt, will also begin trading on the U.S. Nasdaq exchange on Wednesday, a step planned by iBasis before the KPN deal.

Chief Executive Ofer Gneezy of iBasis will be its top executive, while KPN will eventually appoint four members to a seven-member board, the companies said.

Separately, the Dutch telecoms regulator issued a plan on Wednesday for lowering, in three steps, the tariffs that Dutch mobile phone operators charge for calls into their networks.

The cuts, which analysts said were steeper than expected, will reduce KPN's income from mobile termination by likely shaving 1 to 2 percent from KPN's revenue.

iBasis receives $48.2M bid from KPN

A Dutch telecommunications giant has offered $48.2 billion in cash to acquire 44 percent of the shares outstanding in iBasis Inc., a provider of international communications services and retail prepaid-calling services.

Koninklijke KPN, based in the Netherlands, issued an offer letter to iBasis' board July 12. The company already owned some 40.1 million shares, or a 56.3 percent stake, in Burlington, Mass.-based iBasis prior to making the bid.

The $1.55-per-share offer equated to a 19.2 percent premium over iBasis' July 10 closing price (Nasdaq: IBAS).

As of March 31, iBasis had 71.2 million common shares outstanding.

In October 2007, iBasis received $55 million in cash from KPN in exchange for 40.1 million shares of iBasis common stock.
