Fundamentally, it is very good. TA, it is in a up trend. And my buy-sell analysis software detects that there were a lot of buy interests today (08/02). So it may rally again soon. Watch.

Hello,

I bought two stocks, ACTU and ADAM about a month ago.  They have gone up and down and are currently right back where I bought them.  I would break even if I sold them today.  What are your opinions on these stocks short-term?

The other stock in my portfolio is MSPD, which I'm in at 1.52.  I'll hold that one because I don't see it going below 1.70 anytime soon.

Thanks,
Jeff

Nice breakout with above average volumn. Any thought ?? Time to buy ?? TIA

fous

Im gonna play this one completely off TA. Havn't looked at the Financials.

1. price action broke out of the 200 EMA on heavy volume and a gap.

2. That gap also broke out of an acending triangle.

3. just a few months ago this stock formed a sym. triangle, broke out of it, and met its target. which gives me more confidence that this new breakout from the triangle will reach its target. Also around its target is the beginning of a downside gap. Could it be filled? that would be nice!

4. Price action retracing the last 2 days after gap on lowered volume. Im thinking about buying in around the 2.40-2.50 range. Today price action closed at the midway point of the gap of $2.51.

5. Looking to make 20%+ on this one.

-best of luck!

We had a cross of the 50 and 200 EMA today. Looks like my target of 2.92 is comin my way. Though price action today closed at the prior peak of the last rally. We'll need close above 2.69 tommorrow to move on to the next rally. Some more volume is going to be needed as well.

good luck all.

Actuate Debuts SmartSheet Security to Customize Spreadsheets for Mass Distribution
Monday September 25, 7:00 am ET
Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet Cost-Effectively Generates Customized Spreadsheet Reports That Are Securely Delivered to Millions of Users Inside and Outside the Enterprise

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ:ACTU - News), the world leader in Enterprise Reporting and Performance Management Applications that empower 100% of users to achieve breakthrough corporate performance, today announced the availability of Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet, including the new SmartSheet Security Option. Actuate continues its industry leadership in spreadsheet automation and reporting by creating the first solution to cost-effectively secure and distribute analysis-ready, customized spreadsheets which can be delivered to millions of users both inside and outside the enterprise.

Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet gives users information in a format that can be immediately analyzed and helps eliminate mistakes and errors resulting from each user manually inputting data into Microsoft Excel. Companies can use this capability to package and productize information in spreadsheets, offering business partners and customers a value-added service that strengthens their relationships and enhances efficiencies.

"Many of our customers and brokers want to receive information from us in the form of spreadsheets," said Mike Hader, director of IT at Odom's Tennessee Pride. "This is their preferred format for performing in-depth analysis. We have to be able to implement spreadsheets outside the firewall and still ensure that the data is secure. Deploying Actuate e.Spreadsheets give us this capability. End-users, both internal and external, have told us how much faster they are able to do their jobs because they don't have to spend time cutting and pasting information into spreadsheets or creating formulas to perform their analysis."

Building on the company's years of experience providing innovative reporting tools, as well as expertise in creating server-based spreadsheets, Actuate e.Spreadsheet addresses the information quality, information consistency and scalability issues associated with the manual generation of spreadsheets and spreadsheet plug-in solutions. Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet combines the power of an enterprise report writer with the strong foundation of a repeatable blueprint to expand the audience served by analysis-ready spreadsheets.

"Corporations today need data governance whether government regulations require compliance or not," said Dan Everett, research director, business intelligence at Ventana Research. "Although spreadsheets are an essential business tool, their uncontrolled exponential growth makes it difficult for organizations to guarantee the lineage, integrity, and security of data. Actuate e.Spreadsheet enables organizations to centrally manage the data in spreadsheets, which helps companies reduce risks, increase consistency and enforce control policies."

"Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet is truly a breakthrough in spreadsheet automation and scalability," said Jeff Morris, director of product marketing at Actuate Corporation. "Our new SmartSheets securely produce mass customized, data-driven workbooks for millions of users. The architecture is elegantly simple. A single spreadsheet design blueprint drives the queries against source systems in one pass, creating a single master spreadsheet staged on the server. This master catalogue contains the definitions and data for millions of personalized spreadsheets, which users can access on-demand. The result is a solution that generates fully-functional, analysis-ready Excel files without undermining the goals of IT for data control and consistency."

Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet introduces the SmartSheet Security Option, a breakthrough scalable architecture to produce data-driven workbooks. The SmartSheet Security Option executes one query set against enterprise data sources and then manufactures one master catalogue that custom-generates spreadsheets upon request, to support millions of users.

The Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet Designer provides ease-of-use and powerful functionality for Excel power users tasked with supplying spreadsheets to large numbers of users. New features include the Data Range Editor to define dynamic workbook design blueprints and the Data Explorer to simplify data access. The Data Range Editor enables proper expansion, replication and reproduction of formulas and references in each spreadsheet as data expands and contracts. It automates the use of e.Spreadsheet's report functions and creates security locks against groups, ranges and worksheets to establish the permissions for each recipient. The Data Explorer simplifies the definition of queries with runtime and view-time parameters that shape the spreadsheet data.

Availability and Pricing

Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet includes e.Spreadsheet Designer, e.Spreadsheet Server Option, SmartSheet Security Option and the Actuate iServer Enterprise Reporting Platform. It is available as part of Actuate 9 and pricing starts at $7,500 for 10 users.

Since its introduction two years ago, the FinTech 100 rankings have played an increasingly important role in helping companies select software providers who are leaders in deploying technology within the financial services industry. The rankings are based on quantifiable, verifiable data, public information and personal interviews conducted by Financial Insights to ensure the accuracy of the information. Global revenue was a key factor in the ranking, attesting to Actuate's stability and importance to the industry.

"Information is the crux of the financial services industry and the distribution, security and control of that information to customers, partners, employees and regulators is key to building trust and value," said Nobby Akiha, senior vice president of marketing for Actuate Corporation. "Our position, once again, in the FinTech 100 ranking is a reflection of our continual dedication to and traction within the financial services sector."

Over the course of 2006, Actuate has achieved several milestones that are of particular interest to the financial services community. Highlights of these include:

4 out of the top 5 U.S. banks rely on Actuate for their departmental, divisional or enterprise wide reporting.
One of the world's largest banks deploys Actuate reports to upwards of half-a-million users.
Actuate counted 19 of the 21 Financial Services firms in the Fortune 100 as customers.
22 of the top 25 financial services providers in Europe rely on Actuate for mission critical reporting.
With the shipment of Actuate 9 in September of 2006, Actuate introduced its Collaborative Reporting Architecture, which helps financial services firms move Business Intelligence from closed, proprietary development models to an open, iterative development process that reduces the burden on IT and gives end-users such as advisors and customers the freedom to modify and customize their own reports.
Actuate continues to steward the Eclipse BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) open source project, which is gaining considerable momentum with over 190,000 downloads in the third quarter of 2006. BIRT has been widely adopted in the financial services sector.
The company launched Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet, which is the first solution to cost-effectively secure and distribute analysis-ready, customized spreadsheets to millions of users. Spreadsheets are a fundamental facilitator for business within the financial services industry and e.Spreadsheet helps companies mitigate the risks associated with mistakes and errors resulting from each user manually inputting data into Microsoft Excel.
During 2006, Actuate was selected as an IBM Banking Cluster ISV Partner. The expanded relationship delivers next generation online reporting and analysis for consistent multi-channel customer experience and unified customer insight to both IBM and Actuate's banking customers.
