I bought this stock a few months ago -- turned onto it by a message board friend during a discussion of DESC. My DD here was cursory, I knew only that it was a natural gas play.

Honestly I haven't been paying much attention to it since, but a week ago this bulletin board stock FPPC became FPP on the American exchange, and FPP has nearly doubled from my recent purchase price of 3.80.

This interview with Chairman Ray Reaves tells the story:

http://www.twst.com/ceos/ABA607.htm

I like this CEO:

QuoteMr. Reaves: As of my last purchase in November, I own 2,905,000 shares
or about 38% of the outstanding shares. I think it's important for
management to be willing to step up to the plate with their own money
and align their goals with their shareholders. I'm buying shares just
like any other investor with the belief they will yield me a good
return.

With no trading history (its OTC history doesn't count), the market has to evaluate this company's present and future to come up with a valuation. I think it will go higher.

A pullback is bound to occur after the runup you see here. Since my initial position was tiny, I'm looking forward to a drop so I can take a full position.
If you must smite, post why so I can improve myself.

Wow....That's a great looking chart. :o
Congrats on your trade in this one!
Why didn't you let us know a couple of months ago? ;D

Applaud you trade.......

I wish I could've told you about today's trading...it's up $2.25 a share today (hope it holds).

Guess the pullback isn't yet...this one is indeed "on fire."

Could not leave it alone, hope it wasn't a silly thing to do to buy it today.

I guess I'll do my DD later... ::)

Thanks for posting, robt. (I think  ;))

Cheers.
Happy trading...

Am I being blind - or are there almost none for sale?

If there are really only a few thousand for sale, then.... >:D

;D

GRRRRRRRREAT Pick ROBT!!!  Sorry to have missed the boat on this one. I'll be sure to follow your ideas in the future.

REALDEALS21

GOOD call ,with the gas shortages and high gas prices this winter, this will see double digits SOON ! ;D

robt

Seems there's a severe supply-demand problem on this stock -- if you can call that a "problem."

And our CEO holding so much of the float doesn't hurt!

cumulina

If that's a problem, I can live with it!

By the way...I don't remember how many applauses I gave you today, but don't let it get to your head.  ;)
You are setting a tough standard for yourself, robt, and you know that you have to keep it up, don't you?

Thanks for your good work.
Happy trading...

up 48% for the day...!  :D

That 2% fall was enough to trigger my (very tight) stop.

If tomorrow's opening looks good, I'll pay a premium to re-enter. Otherwise, I'll look for the pullback to complete...
If you must smite, post why so I can improve myself.

robt

Didn't find the nerve to re-enter, my loss:

If you must smite, post why so I can improve myself.

cumulina

Well, robt... ;D

Today you had your big chance to re-enter at a reasonable price...that is: the same I bought it at! (8.06)

At close I'm showing the astonishing total gain from FPP = 1.72%  :P

What a lousy day!

Hope tomorrow will be better.

Cheers for now.
Happy trading...

looks like a good swing trade. If it continues in this range for a while, you could buy 150 at 7.50, sell 100 at 8.50, in effect accumulating at a nice discount. When/if it breaks out, you'll have 50 x N (N= number of cycles). Each share will have cost you 5.50.

Hmmm....better put in my 7.50 buy order!

I just HAPPENED to be watching the news when this came out  ;D and hurried up and bought some more!

FieldPoint Petroleum Corporation Completes Mercury Fee #1 in Eddy County, New Mexico

October 11, 2005 10:59:01 (ET)

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct 11, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- FieldPoint Corporation (FPP, Trade) announced today that it has completed the Mercury Fee #1 in the lower Morrow and on a short test the well flowed 2 mmcfed on a 21/64 choke at 1150psi. The Company will leave the middle and upper Morrow behind pipe for now. We perforated the lower Morrow zone at 12,382 to 12,394 and at this time there was no further stimulation necessary. We will keep an eye on the flowing pressures and flow rates to determine if a frac will be required to maintain or increase production. At this time, we cannot predict sustained future flow rates.

The next step will be a hook-up to the gas sales line which should be accomplished in a few days, then we will begin selling gas to Enterprise. FieldPoint has a 10% working interest in the Mercury Fee #1 and will have to pay its share of the completion cost. At this time, the Company estimates total cost to FieldPoint to be approximately $200,000.00, but this does not include the cost of further stimulation or completing other zones.

FieldPoint's President and CEO, Ray D. Reaves, said, "We are excited to have this successful completion and look forward to initiating gas sales within the next 48 hours. I believe the results at this time bode well for us to drill a second well on the prospect, a Mercury Fee #2. Our goal is to continue to increase revenue, earnings and reserves as well as continuing to explore other opportunities like our acreage in the Palo Duro Basin in Texas."
