Profile: M.B.A. Holdings, Inc. (MBAH.OB), through its subsidiary, Mechanical Breakdown Administrators, Inc., engages in the marketing and administration of vehicular mechanical breakdown insurance (MBI) policies in the United States. It also sells contracts for repair services to vehicles (VSC). The company acts as an agent for insurance companies and sells their MBI policies. It provides marketing educational/support services and arranges for subagents to sell the policies. After the sale, the company provides third-party administrative policy services for certain of the policies sold by the company or its subagents. It markets and administers VSC programs for automobiles, light trucks, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, boats, and automotive components. In addition, through its subsidiary, National Motorcycle Dealers Association, LLC (NMDA), the company sells memberships in NMDA and extended warranties for new and used motorcycles, ATV's, and trailers. NMDA also provides gap coverage, motorcycle leasing and financing, credit life/accident insurance, health insurance, and family hospitalization insurance for dealership owners, and employees and their families. The company is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

I like the insurance sector at this point, with so many natural disasters and others, and with insurance companies paying for the damages, I believe the Property and Casualty Insurance Sector will see a surge in demand for the coming quarters.

Anyway, this is a very small company, with just 14 full time employees.

Yesterday some news of a stock dividend were out:

MBAH Announces Issuance of Stock Dividend

The dividend will be given to shareholders at November the 25th, 2005. Maybe some buying ahead of this, and people not selling before the dividend date? (or they would not be illegible). I think this is a smart move from the company.

The chart looks attractive, a new bullish trend is emerging:

I will buy $1000 of MBAH.OB for the 3 Pennies on Fire Portfolio.

Did you purchase this for the 3 pennies portfolio?

Another good find.

I got this from the MBA Holdings Shareholder Update: «Our stores are setting new sales records weekly which prove to us that our systems are working.»

I like this weekly measure.

But I went on reading their last 10-Q and the fundamental picture got worse from 2004 to 2005. More revenues, but even more costs. Also the company seems to have the bad habit of issuing a lot of shares which is dilutive to shareholders.

Also, from knowing more from the company, I see that it's not a insurance sector stock, it is basically a motorcycle renting company. I think motorcycle renting is funny, but not such a great business.

Therefore I'll sell my $1,000 of MBAH.OB today, taking whatever profit I have.

Some more news on the stock dividend: This is good right?

Yes, those are good news, therefore I'll try selling it at $0.072 and not near the open.

Thanks gmarc66  :)

David,

Question, if the news is good (and I also think it is) why sell  ???.

And do I understand correctly that you want to sell today around $ 0.072, so also if it would be lower? Or is that your minimum???

Thanks in advance for your reply.

$0.072 is my minimum, given the news. Why sell? The news is good but not good enough, I bought the stock thinking it was an insurance play and after all it is a renting motorcycle business. 1 stock for 200 held is 0.5% yield, not good enough, but I appreciate the generosity of the CEO.

Hi David,

What do you think of this press release which indicates that the CEO cannot exercise his shares until they reach a certain level:

David will not be able to post the regular daily updates today. But he gave me instructions to SELL this position.

I'll sell MBAH.OB today near the open.

I'll just post an updated chart.
