Got an alert on CORI hitting it's 52 week low. New orders comming in for it's secure software programs. what do you think? Look at last paragraph of the news article. Would add chart but stockcharts.com is having problems. thanks G :)

Thats not my style.  New 52 week low means stay away to me.  You will have scared investors selling, imo.

Sounds like good advise to me.

Tm Bioscience Corporation (CV:TMC) Announces Test For Multiplex Detection Of All Major Human Respiratory Viruses Including Avian Flu (H5N1) And SARS

TORONTO, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Tm Bioscience Corporation , a leader in the commercial genetic testing market, today announced that it has developed an upper respiratory viral panel that detects all of the major human respiratory viruses, including H5N1 (Avian Flu) and SARS Corona. The test was developed within the framework of a collaboration with researchers in Dr. Jim Mahony's lab at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada that was announced on May 9th of this year. The prototype is currently undergoing optimization and will begin clinical evaluation in the coming weeks. Tm is in discussions with regulators, including the FDA, on preparing IVD submissions for expedited review.

"I am very excited about this new test and its ability to rapidly detect all major human respiratory viruses including Avian Flu and SARS corona. This now makes it possible to replace conventional lab tests, which are laborious and often take several days or weeks to produce a definitive result. It provides physicians with a diagnosis much earlier than conventional tests thereby improving patient management for infected individuals. More importantly however, this test could play a major role during an outbreak or epidemic by clearly identifying infected individuals early in the outbreak and limiting the spread of virus in the community. The test will also assist public health authorities to avoid false alarms by determining which specific virus, if any, is present in a patient who is presenting flu symptoms," said Dr. Jim Mahony, Director of the McMaster University Regional Virology and Chlamydiology Laboratory and President of the Pan American Society for Clinical Virology. Dr. Mahony's lab played a major role in the development of the test by providing the genetic sequences for the probes and primers to build the test and assisted in establishing key test parameters for the detection of the individual viruses. His lab continues to work with Tm Bioscience to assess performance characteristics of the test using clinical specimens.

Tm Bioscience plans to launch successive versions of its Upper Respiratory Infectious Disease Panel over time. The first version of the panel, which detects and differentiates among various strains of Respiratory Syncitial Virus (RSV), SARS Corona Virus, Parainfluenza and Influenza Virus A/B including H5N1 (Avian Flu), is undergoing optimization and will be available for evaluation by hospital based laboratories and reference laboratories in early December. Subsequent versions of the test will be expanded to include additional viruses and may identify specific mutant variants of the H5N1 virus that are capable of human-to-human transmission or that develop Tamiflu(R) resistance.

"Each year our public health system is challenged with a wide and ever-changing variety of viral infections. Our Tag-It(TM) technology is a proven and flexible platform ideally suited for rapid and accurate detection of specific viral strains in a clinical setting," said Greg Hines, President and CEO of Tm Bioscience. "With the critical need for tools to identify and contain the spread of novel virus strains that threaten to become epidemics, we have accelerated our development program for this product significantly and have commenced discussions with regulators, including the FDA, about submissions for expedited review."

Mid-day update:

We must remember that Friday selling pressure exists.  Some traders either do not like to hold over the weekend or just want to book profits.  Friday also has lower volume which increases the ability of a stock to move either way.(high volatility)  Many traders leave early.

GLIF - The blue trendline was pierced and we may close underneath.  The lower black line may present a good buying opportunity if this were to occur.  If we can close above it is possible that Monday GLIF stats lifting higher.

----------------------------------

BIGN - Nothing much to report because of the low friday volume.  I believe next week this will make at least a short run because I feel it is hinting that in this formation and volume it is showing.  Above.035 and its gone.

----------------------------------

HQSM - An intraday break of the daily triangle pattern with some volume.  I would like HQSM to close above .048 to show it really wanted to break out of the triangle.  The higher the close the better she looks for Monday and the rest of next week.  I think HQSM will be poppin on traders charts over the weekend.  There seems to be plenty of good info out there.

trade it good  8)

DNAG, AOOR

These 2 would have given a nice quick profit and I let um go.  I wanted to post this because I like to look back at these technical patterns and try to figure out why I did not pull the trigger. Hopefully I can then fix the wiring in my head so that I can buy next time  :D

NNVC

one that I let go(a while ago).. I still wouldn't have entered it yesterday on the low volume but it is something to learn from.

Of course it is not possible to buy every momo stock.. but some of them do signal ahead of time and its those that signal and have a safety factor involved that we want to catch.  ;)

Notice how the stocks I'm following right now: GLIF, HQSM and BIGN have just come out of a tight pattern(consolidation).  This makes me feel safer in case I decide to get out.

Well I just felt like ramblin these notes down.  8)

I don't think anyone responded last time, but I just want to point out again that you should read the GLIF SEC filings.  There seem to be warrants for an issuance of up to 190 million shares at .011/share.  I could be wrong, but this is how I interpretted it... just be aware and do your DD (if you're into that stuff... if you're just trading on trend - good luck)  :)

Sorry.. here is the link:

Here is the quote:
"As of August 30, 2005, the average of the three lowest intraday trading prices for our common stock during the preceding 20 trading days as reported on the Over-The-Counter Bulletin Board was $0.021 and, therefore, the conversion price for the secured convertible notes was $0.011. Based on this conversion price, the $2,000,000 Notes, excluding interest, were convertible into 190,476,189 shares of our common stock."

thx for this information owen(applaud)

I am trading wholly based on the technical pattern but this is of course good to know about.  I don't have enough experience with fundamentals to properly weigh this issue but my initial thoughts were that the conversion is far off.. and not of concern to short-term traders.

I believe there is no bearing of .o11 on the current price. These are secured notes that are callable and will not come due for 3 years.Basically if company can not perform than the investors will have the option to recieve the stock at this price or something like that.

With the stock trading at .05 the conversion price would be .025 which would be 80,000,000
shares. In three years, who knows where this stock will be. It's yearly high is aprroximately a $1.00. With Revenues strating this in this quarter qho know where this stock would in 3 years.
If the stock is $3 the conversion price would be $1.50 for atotal conversion price of 1,300,000 shares. If the companies decides not to pay off the notes.

Thx egg, so that would probably have a negative impact on the stock in 3 years then?

What about the warrants @ .45?

thx.. I'm learning fundamental analysis here  ;D

Securing the funds needed for its operations was the biggest concern of the management over the summer. Now, most often you see penny stocks have difficulty rasing cash for their operations and to face this problem they start issuing new stocks.

The situation was different here at GLIF land. Management's solid connections and their solid product line gave GLIF little problem rasing the needed cash through a bunch of investors(New Millennium Capital Partners II, LLC, AJW Qualified Partners, LLC, AJW Offshore, Ltd. and AJW Partners, LLC) by  sale of $2,000,000 in callable secured convertible notes (the Notes) and stock purchase warrants (the Warrants) to buy 7,692,308 shares of our common stock.

Not rocket science.

This management team knows what they are doing. Unlike many other penny stocks.

Your view on this is interesting MM...  I'm glad you made the edit though.

thx.. I'm learning fundamental analysis here ;D

The warrants are for.45 that about a 1,000% premium from where we are now.
They expire in 5 years.
The fact that the lenders would accept warrants for that big of a premium, tells me they must have a lot of faith in GLIF to move the stock price to t least .45 for the warrants to be worth anything.
I would love it if they would be able to exercise their warrants, because the stock would have to be above .45 and that would be a 10-bagger from these levels and I would have a huge profit.

Note: It all says in that document: All the notes and warrants exercised cannot equal more than 5% of the total outstanding shares, with only about 60M shares outstandings right now, that means that would only be able to convert 3M shares.

Eggaman, you made my job that much easier. Appluad!!!

Hey G man,
My take on knowing the fundamentals.Long term good, short term not so good. Most of the stocks that we talk about in momentum trading. We will never trade if we start lookin at the fundamantles. So if you have success in the way you are trading than stick to it and don't make your life complicated.
