INSM seems to breakout today.

Bought at 1,30.

Long term INSM may be a tenbagger.

News:Lazard initiate INSM with $2.50 target

Initiating coverage on the two GHIS contenders
1. Growth Hormone Insensitivity (GHIS), or severe short stature, is a subset of
the $2 billion growth hormone therapy market; no approved therapies to date
2. Tercica's Increlex and Insmed's SomatoKine are both expected to receive
approval, with PDUFA dates of August 31 and October 3, 2005, respectively
3. Pediatric endocrinologists we interviewed favor Insmed's SomatoKine over
Tercica's Increlex, should both be launched concurrently, as we expect
4. INSM (current price: $1.22) is rated BUY with a $2.50 price target, as we
believe the shares are undervalued; any significant and/or lasting concern over
Increlex approval would be misplaced
5. TRCA (current price: $8.57) is rated HOLD with a $9.50 price target, as we
consider the shares to be fully valued and vulnerable to nearly any
disappointment; any regulatory delays could trigger a decline
6. Risks to INSM include potential orphan drug exclusivity for Tercica's
Increlex if approved first, while TRCA investors may be disappointed, as we
expect Increlex market acceptance to be low upon commercialization of both
products

:-\Kind of empty on this board...

I've got myself and at least three relatives in this stock. Waiting like everyone else. Small stake, just getting started in some real market play. Would consider myself a semi-market wise newbie, but have made some good picks in the past. Here to learn...quick!!! I think this stock has blockbuster potential, both near and long term. Did you pick up on any of the Bio conference presentation material?

Looks like approval w/orphan is expected by management and soon. Several partner candidates referenced but not by name, iPLEX is being produced at the Boulder facility and we're ready to rock. I go by the same id on the yahoo INSM board. Also following NVAX.

Check back tomorrow for signs of life...

Not exactly tomorrow, but INSM is putting in support around $1.20 now for a week. May be a small drop to $1.15 as the wait to Dec. 12th FDA announcement drags out, but the bottom is here IMHO. The approval PR may catch people off guard, as did the "approvable" letter. I plan on getting back in post Thanksgiving-1st week Dec. with some cash extracted from NVAX.

These two stocks are about as close as I can find to "sure things"...

Regards....

Check back later for signs of life...

FDA is ok today...insm WINNER...LIVELIFE come on $$$$$

That's made$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

newnewbie

There is a very good chance that the FDA will grant orphan-drug status to INSM's iPlex on 12/12/05. The company CEO seems to think so. This recent company presentation will give you some clues.

I believe that INSM will go up substantially today, Friday Dec. 9, 2005.

And there might be more news soon. From the Yahoo board:

Just as a reminder! INSM to present on 10th in San Antonio...And have a short look who will be present...Not the smallest ones!

Insmed Shares Soar on FDA OK of Iplex
Monday December 12, 6:26 pm ET

Insmed Shares Climb 40.3 Percent After FDA OKs Iplex Therapy, Grants Treatment 'Orphan' Status

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Insmed Inc. said Monday that regulators approved its Iplex therapy for children who lack a certain growth hormone and granted the treatment "orphan drug" status despite the approval of a competing drug.

As recently as October, Insmed said the Food and Drug Administration was still considering whether to make Iplex an orphan drug. The label, which carries seven years of exclusive selling rights, is designed to motivate companies to develop treatments for rare diseases.

Insmed shares surged 40.3 percent after-hours to $2.09, having closed on the Nasdaq up 2 percent at $1.49.

The drug was approved to boost the height of children with a severe deficiency of a hormone called IGF-1, or whose bodies cannot recognize growth hormones. It is delivered in a daily dose.

Insmed plans to launch the drug between April and June. Competitor Tercica Inc. received FDA approval and orphan drug exclusivity for its similar growth hormone, Increlex, in September to treat a severe deficiency of IGF-1.

Calven,
Many posters on Yahoo compare possible INSM run with the SPEX run. I know SPEX is low floater, but what is your take, if you don't mind.
Kindly appreciate your feedback,
