I think PAX will be trading between $1 and $1.20 for the medium term, reaching $1.20 sometime in the near future, but I don't have time.

The 3 SOF Fast Portfolio always has 33.33% of capital in each stock, so I'm allowed to buy just 3 stocks. After buying TIII at today's open I'll have 3 stocks and no more money to invest. I need to free some capital, so I'll sell PAX today. I'll sell it at the open.

HI All,

Just one of my silly questions for anyone who might care to explain .. why is PAX dropping like a rock when 1.25 per share is "guaranteed"?

It may not be fast money, but its not a loss.  Or is LiveLife lightening up?

Thanks in advance.

netfishmademerich

It is guaranteed only if there's a sale.  I think  the feeling is a sale is unlikely since the earnings are horrendous.

wisebuys, netfishmademerich is correct that $1.25 is guaranteed for sale within the next 18 months.  I posted this on public PAX board this morning before market open:

Quote from: LiveLife on November 10, 2005, 09:18:38 AM
"For today, as a swing trader, I will take profit on any significant gain or sell if there is any followup profit taking early on market open, and buy back on dip/rebound.  If there is no rebound activity, then I will move on to the next stock(s) on the 20-40 stock list."

I am checking the day's market activity and it seems there's been broad selling with many stocks that did not recover.  So, PAX declining may be due to this effect.  As I openly post, I am a short-term swing trader who must take profit on short-term gains or sell to minimize loss, all to maximize "overall" gain of my stock trading portfolio.  I sold at $1.02 - $1.03 this morning.

Good trading!

Liquidity dried up a bit so momentum players got out, but I think PAX won't go down much from current levels, and will pass time trading maybe between $0.90 and $1.10 until something gets clear on the $1.25 tender offer.

I sold out at the open yesterday for the 3 SOF Fast Portfolio, now I will move this topic to the Previous Picks Board.
