Hi gang!!

I'm about to open a margin account, because my present broker is cash only. I've downloaded Get Trader demo version and it appears to be very versatile. Since I'm non-US citizen, I can't apply Scottrade etc., if I understand correctly ???

What platform do You use? I'd like to hear about Your experiences.

I use E-Trade, and have had good luck with them so far.  I have a margin account with them, so when I sell a stock I don't have to wait three days for it to settle.  I can use it right away, which is the main reason I got a margin account. Good Luck!

I have a margin account at Ameritrade. Their customer service is exellent  and all the analystic tools are great.

Ameritrade is not available to most countries on the UE :-(
If you had an account before 2002 (I think), you can still use Ameritrade, but you cannot open a new account right now. The comissions are a bit high, but the service is really good.

I suggest that you take a look at Interactivebrokers.com, which is what most europeans use to trade in the US.

OK. Thanks guys.

I think, what's really bugging me, is that I can't place "good til´cancelled" nor "trailing stops" orders.  So I'm a prisoner of the screen, so to speak.I'll have to do some DD now.

By the way, this is a great site.  :)
