5 day chart  ;)

stopthemadness

another day of sideways action. after taking some profits, i'm still holding a few shares. does it seem like we'll continue sideways for a while?

just time to move on?

thanks.

I had a drill sergeant that used to tell us to stop the madness. ;)  I'm holding onto AOB for now.  The stock is still bullish and has formed a small symmetrical triangle since it tanked a few days ago.  Once consolidation finishes, this should start moving up again.  We'll have to see which way it decides to break from the triangle or if it wants to continue this sideways trend.

1. i think we know which way it want to break now...

2. i think we need your drill sergeant to get this stock back in shape!

I guess it could have been worse (famous last words).  We are still above the longterm trendline that has been solid support for AOB for almost 6 months.  This trendline will stand at about $5.75 to $5.80 on Monday.  That has been such solid support that my plan is to sell if AOB is set to close below it.  I may even sell on a break of the trendline intraday if I'm watching at that time.  I have come to distrust some of these Chinese bio/pharma so I feel it is better for me to limit my losses.  If this breaks the trendline, even intraday, then a TL that has held for 6 months will no longer be valid for my trade plan.  With earnings as good as they were, and the bounce off support on Black Monday, I feel that it is only a matter of time before this moves higher again.  I agree with huhhot that we will probably see it on Monday or Tuesday.  I guess we will have to see it early next week since there isn't much room for AOB to decide to either honor the TL or violate it.

Basonista :

Thank you for the wonderful charts. I totally agree with your opinion. I think it is still good to hold for the long-term.

I dont know what happened just now, but AOB dipped.  I bought back in at 5.59.  Its at 5.55 now, but at this discount I think I am getting a good bargain longer term.  Unless there is some other catalyst that I dont know about for the price dropping, but I didnt see any news...

i'm still holding some AOB. the profits i took earlier are dwindling now.

it's wierd that there seems to be a number of sudden drops in th pps with sudden increases in volume too.

at least it seems to be holding steady right now.

Long term, I like AOB, but it is ahead of itself.  It was a buck and little change less than 6 months ago.  There are significant profits for many people, some of whom will take those off the table.  The "trendline" cannot continue ... this is not a double digit stock for awhile fundamentally.  The 200 day moving average is a little over $3 (about 3.15) and it is somewhere south of the $5.50 today that it is safe to buy.  If this stock had gone from $1.25 to $3.15 in less than six months, all holders would be thrillled for the ride.  Cramer is an idiot ... but hogs do get slaughtered.  :P  Be patient.  Buy lower....

My prediction for AOB...

AOB is currently shaping an upsloping channel. The bottom of the channel appears to be the 50 day MA (5.25) However, with the recent spike to 7.50ish and the HUGE volume sell off I would expect AOB to come into support with a full head of steam.. (downward momentum) Furthermore if you look at the thicker blue lines AOB has also dropped more rapidly that the first sell off wave. Factoring in these concepts and that of a "measured move" I would expect AOB to temporarily break the 50 day ma.

I would be interested in the stock from 4.90-5.10 as shown by the 2nd support line on the chart below... all things equal (fundamentals unchanged) >:D

In at 5.30 - I also expect it to dip under the 50 MA, slightly, but I'm not sure enough to wait and miss this buy in price.

My position today is a third of what I took profits on last week.  I seem to have bought too early today, but intend to average down if AOB goes lower.  Anything below $5 will be a steal for this stock given its growth rate, and in particular the historically strong Q4 revenues.
