QuoteCNXT may face a little resistance at this $2.40 level. I hope not, and I wouldn't bet on it since the bulls are in control of the stock, but it may happen.

I see the stock trading within the ascending triangle below and then breaking it on the upside. Again, I would rather see CNXT break the ascending pattern right now, but I will be comfortable with some profit taking as well.

Yesterday was a great day for CNXT. It broke the $2.40 resistance level on the upside, and now it can start thinking about filling that gigantic gap opened between $2.65 and $4.03.

The plan is as follows:

1) Take profits at $4.03 OR;
2) Take profits IF the stock is set to close below $2.19.

David,

Yes, I liked seeing that close above 2.40, and seeing more volume coming in yesterday.

The Inverse H&S Target of 3.39 still is IN PLAY.

Hi David:

I have not posted in a few days. Here is my update.  I traded BTUI several times and finally sold that last long for a profit at 15.60 this am.

On TRAD I sold at 12.30 after the run back up from low 11s, and then re-entered at 11.81; I also picked up more shares at 12.50 yesterday. There is some short-term weakness, but I am holding as I expect a re-test of the 13.22 high next week.

On AOB, I bought at the bottom at 5.30 two days ago (or was it three) and sold today for a profit at 6.33. It looks like if it can get thru teh recent high in the 6.45 area that it may retest the old highs in the 7s, but I am not waiting around.

I sold 10k out of 15k RDCM at 3.01 the other day, but bought again this am at 2.80 not realising that you were selling. Unfortunately I also sold by CNXT the other day at 2.10 (mistake).

I sold my contest pick at 7.60 the other day (BMD) (was in third place last night) but there has been a sell-off the last two days and I have bought all the shares back at prices from 7.07 to 7.25 today and yesterday. I hope I am not too early. I think the weakness is a general weakness in energy related stocks today after the strong receovery we have seen. BUT BMD is s unique company and I think it will move towards $10 in the next few months

I bought KLIC on th recent correction at 8.42 and plan to hold for awhile.

Made a mistake re-entering HOM partially at 6.70 - did not see the private placement coming, but bought more this am at 5.91-5.96. This is a great stock and I expect it will recover to above 6 pretty soon.

Finally, my largest holding is ELN, having bought a lot more at 10.20 and 10.70;half the shares I have owend for awhiel having bought inthe 5 to 6 area.

Oh yes, my do of the portfolio is ARQL, which cant seem to get above $7. I think of selling everyday but I expect news that will take it to $9 in the next month.

Thanks David

Have a nice Turkey!!

I would say, "You better look at the chart on ANAD", for a better performer.... ;D

Thanks for your update defenderyou, nice moves  :)

Yes shawFund, I should have given more room to ATML. ANAD is really incredible setravis, I had it on my filter everyday, will take another look at it today.

Considering CNXT, the stock opened with a pretty high gap up and people took profits. Even the CEO took profits, he sold some shares at $2.43 (the ones he bought a few days ago at $2.11). He looks like one of us, traders. But he still has most of his position, although it is a small one, just about 410,000 shares (I wouldn't mind having that, though  ;D)

I don't know guys, maybe the stock will pullback now, the candlestick was really ugly (this often happens when a lot of people buy at the open, then who's left to buy?)

I wonder if I should take profits or continue with the trading plan ... this CEO thing was already known on Wednesday, yet people bought at a gap up. This is a tough call. I may lose my position if I take profits, but also I'm not so bullish on the general market as I was before.

Well, I'll take those profits and will be positioned to buy back at the short term ascending trendline.

So, sell CNXT at today's open and try to buyback at $2.22.

David, hope things are going well, nice run you've had over the past month, congrat's!.  I just wanted to ask where you get your insider trading info from. Looking at my source, it must be missing all the current trades. Also if I could ask, any current opinion on smtx. It would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day all.

Thanks usedcasting  :) I get my insider trading info from the SEC filings. I get the SEC filings from www.alphatrade.com (it's a paid service, but you can also get the SEC filings at www.sec.gov).

SMTX? Unfortunately I don't have time now, but I'll take a look at it over the weekend (or at today's night) and post it on the Members Board.

Good luck !

Thanks Setravis...r u still holding this one?  David just sold CNXT, as he promise he'll be back @ support level... but for me i won't touch the trigger as long as the stock is bullish.

I just have a feeling that this one is getting ready.  ;)
Now we just have to wait for some positive news and, I Think Boom !  :o
IMHO, I believe good news will help it fill the gap up to $4.00 or more.  ;D

Forgot to answer the question..... "Yes, I'm still holding!!" :D

By the way, the institutions will be all over this puppy when we do fill that gap and are heading for a fiver. Many of them cannot sniff a share until we reach 5 bucks because their charters restrict them.

Conexant Solutions Selected by LG Electronics for World's First DVB-S2 Set-Top Box
Monday November 28, 8:00 am ET
New HDTV Receiver Deployed by Major North America Digital TV Provider

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 28, 2005--Conexant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CNXT - News), a worldwide leader in semiconductor solutions for broadband communications and the digital home, today announced that LG Electronics, a global player in electronics products for the digital era, has incorporated the company's CX24126 satellite set-top box (STB) DVB-S2 demodulator and CX24118 advanced modulation 8PSK tuner in their new high-definition television (HDTV) receiver. LG's model H20 is the world's first set-top box based on DVB-S2, the industry's newest digital video broadcast standard. DVB-S2 leverages key developments in channel coding and modulation to provide up to a 35 percent capacity increase over the previous DVB-S standard. The H20 STB is currently being deployed by DIRECTV in the United States.

"We are pleased that our 'world's first' DVB-S2 chip has enabled LG Electronics to achieve a similar industry milestone with their new H20 set-top box," said Jeff Crosby, vice president and general manager of Conexant's Broadband Media Processing business. "Chips based on advanced modulation, coding and compression technologies are critical to completing the transition to new digital television services. This is a key area of focus for Conexant, and we will continue to develop innovative, cost-effective chips for this growing market segment."

"Conexant is the leader in front-end set-top box silicon solutions and is the only chip manufacturer to offer a fully proven and extensively tested DVB-S2 demodulator," said Dr. Choon Lee, director of DTV Lab for LG Electronics. "The early availability of their standards-compliant solution allowed us to be the first in the world to bring an advanced high-definition-based set-top box to market."

Conexant's CX24126 demodulator and forward error correction (FEC) decoder enables operators to offer additional content and services including HDTV channels and interactive services using existing bandwidth and infrastructure. The highly integrated CX24118 direct down conversion satellite tuner was designed to meet the stringent performance parameters required for advanced modulation 8PSK and DBS-S2 applications. Together, these two devices provide manufacturers with a complete front-end system solution that optimizes system performance.

Conexant offers a comprehensive suite of digital STB components and system solutions for worldwide satellite, terrestrial and cable entertainment broadcasting networks. The company's product offering includes silicon tuners, satellite demodulators, MPEG audio and video decoders, and dial-up modems for back-channel applications. Reference designs that help manufacturers reduce cost and speed time to market are also available, bundled with a range of operating systems, middleware, drivers and development tools.
