AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

This is the second time I don't listen to my instinct!!! I was almost 30% up on STTK and saw how it's getting top-heavy around .87 and didn't get out.
Nothing shoots straight up like this stock and it needs a correction. Now I got one and missed on profit!
@#%!$^#

seems like you bounced off the 9ema.. you might still be in good shape onestock ;)

OneStockMind

Actually elite, this stock does bounce - it did the same thing 4 days ago. It's just that I wanted to capitalize on swings but I'm just stubborn and greedy.

JMoney

Take a look at RKTI as a possible G-Pattern  ;D

you'll figure it out man  ;) in the meantime it might be a good idea to start selling partial at a certain point, lets call it the pissed off point.. the place where if you dont get some of that profit cause the stock turns around you will be pissed.

RKTI has a nice pattern but I wonder where the volume is on this g3?  I'll keep an eye on it, thx, JMoney.  8)

Hey Elite, just saw your Kry pick. Tricky one. I don't know if you can get your $2.90 without the permit grants that everyone is waiting for, but if they do come, we will get alot more than $2.90.

Fingers crossed!

2.90 would be nice but I never mentioned that number.. I'd be happy with a nice 20% gain on that one.. thats why I called it a surgical strike.. but sometimes thats how the big plays start.  I think they may just get the contract  ;)  check out this thread: http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?topic=3842.0#msg35520
johnb liked KRY at the same time I did and Ramsburg has a very nice chart and TA over there  8)

My STTK sad story.. From 25% gain to 10% loss in one day.. that's pretty sad.
I'll hold because I hope it will bounce back up but this is exactly what I do in trading - "hoping" instead of disciplined profit taking.. Well, I guess 25% is not good enough for me.

gmarc66

Onestock...I feel for you....i do that all the time! I never learn.

Or there are scenarios like this...VMTF..i bought yesterday at .20 and sold it at .22. Then I almost bought it again this morning...then decided not too...now it hit .30. Both days have been great volume...will probably continue...without me. Elite u should check it out...it had news yesterday and today...i started a thread on it in penny stocks. Sounds like could have further potential.

and VSUSE...yep...noticed it yesterday...and thought..oh..i probably missed most of the run now...no...i didn't!! Up alot more today. Wondering where that will end up..is there more.

MYNG did well too.

MAUG which i owned and sold at a loss a few weeks ago...if only i held on..i would have doubled...my story. But, Elite..what do u think of MAUG...again...this stock just keeps going up...is there a limit?

thanks

julia

One of the biggest steps I feel that has helped me in trading is the ability to let things go.

To let things go for a trader:

-- 1. Let plays go by that look great but are past the safest buy point.  There are many plays out there.  Figure out how to catch the stock that went by at the breakout area.  Adjust your system to catch it, whether you use TA, news or other sources(like your pet goldfish)

-- 2. Let go of a stock or part of it when you feel uncomfortable(in a gain or loss situation). Everyone says to trade without emotion.  Thats impossible because we are human.  So then make your emotions another tool.  For example you get anxious when you are sitting on a big gain.. take some profit off the table.. does your feeling go away?  If not then sell some more till it does.  Your instincts(emotions) may come from your subconscious analysis of the stock.  I think it takes many experiences to build a good database for your subconscious and to learn how to use those instincts.  And of course this would apply to most anything that people do.  Yes I believe this crazy theory.  ;)

-- 3. Let go of making yourself feel bad when you get out of a play that could have made you a ton of money.  Its the stock market.  Whose to say you have found the bottom or you have found the top?  When I play texas hold'em I cant stand it when people say "Man I should have stayed in" when they have terrible cards.  You cant count on that "one time" to make you rich.  You need to be able to perform again and again and again.  If you cant define how you did it, you cant do it again and you are gonna be a one hit wonder.

Now go trade the heck out of the markets!

Study! there will be a quiz on this Friday  :D :D

Totally agree with your theory elite. If only I can think of that every day :)
I know what you mean about always regreting. I'm trying to stay away from emotional regrets and have only objective regrets that serve as a learning tool.

I'm in STTK for about a week or so and noticed every time when a news comes out there's a selloff that day. I don't see any explanation for today's action other than sell on news since the company is constantly getting new contracts.
What worries me is that MACD is very high and RSI was pretty hot so I knew it can't go up forever.

Today it closed below9 day MA and it hasn't done that in the last two weeks or so. I just hope it's a short-term correction and not a trend change.
Also, if you look at the Fib. retracements from the top to the start of the run it looks like it tested 50% retracement today.

What is your take looking at the chart and the company fundamentals? I just want to learn trading on examples like this.

Thanks elite. Definitely missed you here.

Yo G

Might want to check out MSEP for a possible rebound to the G-Spot.

Volume a little Sluggish though.  :-\

Its hard to say OneStock.. STTK bounced off the 20 ema thats good..maybe its found bottom. You talked about RSI and MACD.. I studied a lot about indicators.. and I have come to the conclusion that they are more hurtful than helpful.  Making money is about Price and Volume, imo  ;)  I do not really employ fundamental analysis in what I do.  I find it interesting but more dangerous than just listening to the facts(price and volume, the market).  So it doesnt matter if they have a gazillion dollars in the bank.. if their price is going down and hits your stop you gotta get on gone.  ;)

yo JMoney 8), lotta supply in MSEP.  Volume is not only sluggish in the shortterm but also has been dwindling the whole year(60ema volume).. no go for me.
