Good morning.

Yesterday, I was out with the in-laws who were visiting and found the market dip in the evening, ouch!  There was generalized selling acrosss the board.

Perhaps, David Randolph is right when he believes that the bear market may be returning.

I am thinking about selling my positions and holding cash while I examine the market.

After yesterday's large gain, I sold MDII which I bought yesterday morning and bought SPEX back this morning.  If the bearish market conditions are returning, we need to be even more careful about our trades.

Sold SPEX and bought EGHT this morning.

Market is still volatile.

I am still holding EGHT, but HOM looks like it may be rebounding

What do you expect on EGHT, to late/risky to jump in?

Good evening everyone.

Wow, nice rebound day for some stocks.  Both EGHT and HOM did very well.

Se7en, if a particular stock is indeed trendable (which means stock price follows chart trend/technical analysis - some stocks don't), for swing trading, buy is done as RSI (14) rebounds from 30-50 and held until RSI (14) approaches 70-80 and stock is sold.

Recently, stock market became volatile and bearish which prompted generalized sell offs.  If EGHT is trendable, it should gain as RSI (14) approaches 70-80.

Those that want to speculate, GZFX is also rebounding well.

These are difficult time for stock traders and I am guessing that many are nervous and taking profit quicker than normal.  I am also cautious, and taking profit earlier than usual.

So, look out for profit taking earlier than RSI (14) approaching 70-80 and I would stick to stocks with high volume in millions in the near future.

And here's GZFX.  There may be earlier profit taking with GZFX as RSI (14) approaches 70.

Here's an example of a stock that is trending well.  Look at rebound points off RSI (14) 30-50 (blue ovals) with corresponding price gains (blue vectors) along with MACD rising.

With RSI (14) above 70-80, I anticipate profit taking.  We can monitor this stock to see what happens in the next several days.

Hi livelife.  Definitely your method works very well.  If it's possible, I want to hear your opinion for the technicals of 2 stocks:   MRB  and  GROW.  Thanks a lot  and Happy new trading year!!!!!

;D
Keep it simple !!

LiveLife

nica33, thanks for your comments.

MRB may be ready for profit taking as RSI (14) is approaching 70-80.  As for GROW, even though it is rebounding off RSI (14) 50, I would wait for more buy indicators.

Here are examples of trending stocks.  Notice the RSI rebounds with corresponding price increases until MACD peaks and begins to fall.

Also, profit taking took place before RSI hit 70-80.  Perhaps with these stocks, MACD rebounding and peaking is more accurate indicator of buy/sell (entry/exit) points.

These are some of stocks that are monitored by 3SOF members, check them out and monitor them to swing trade when the buy/sell indicators are present.  Thanks!

Good morning, I was helping a friend yesterday evening and didn't get to post.

Point of interest is GZFX.  Circuit City and GameZnFlix extended their trial period to March 15 instead of ending at Jan 15 to go nationwide, which caused a panic sell off yesterday.

If you are speculating, this would be a good entry/buy point for GZFX.

EGHT should continue to gain as RSI (14) rises above 50 to 70.
