Is this the $5.00 effect. I would believe so. :o :o
I must say, I like it so far.

Good move after its huge run since New Year's day.

I was out few days ago on this one together with DIET, AOB.

So I hit two and missed one.

GIGM has a special place in my heart. This was the first stock I wrote about on 3SOF. I loved the fundamentals and was arguing with David whether 1.8 was a good entry point (or was it 1.9?) Anyhow today David is making a killing on this stock and I am arguing with myself whether 5.3 is a good entry point. Life just isn't fair

GIGM has a great management team (as stated in my first message in this thread!). They have done all the right things and transformed the company from a lackluster record retailer to a potential powerhouse in online gaming (this is the short version).

GIGM has been a great investment for me but it could have been so much better if I had just followed my instincts and hold during the rough times.

As said I am having a serious discussion with myself whether or not to jump in now. The fundamentalist seems to have the upper hand. If I had still been holding the stock today I would probably be thinking about selling. GIGM has according to my valuation reached the potential I saw back in June last year. From now on it is a matter of believing in the vision.

Wow, sorry about your dilemna - I have done the same thing so many times.  I had SNDK when it was $30 and AMD when it was $19... not to mentioned some other 10 baggers (VPHM, TALK etc).

I guess you could wait and see if it goes down tomorrow - it is such a hard call to try to buy in at the lowest point.  I know this will keep going up but there may be some profit taking soon. Good luck on your decision!  ???

hi Brandy,

Well it is not such a big dilemma when the decission is first taken. For me the test is the next earnings. If the stock is still at above 5 after the release then I will officially declare my love (once again :D)

Congratulation David and Ramsburg, you guys should be on Forbes cover for making it 200% in less then a year.

Hats off for the double on GIGM.

David Randolph

Thanks usedcasting and stocky, GIGM has been really hot on 3 Stocks on Fire (I wonder why I didn't pick GIGM for the Stock Picking Contest, it wins all the time, if one lets it win  :D)

Thanks for the info metro, really Chinese design  :) I don't understand a word, but I like what I see, lots of online gambling (still not for money, but GIGM will take care of that soon).

Yesterday's breakout was on volume above average, technically the stock is extremely bullish. I'll let the profits run.

David Randolph

GIGM gave back some of the previous day's gains, nothing to worry about, even from a trading perspective. The proper time to take profits is when the company posts a big revenue and profit jump at the 1st quarter results presentation, due to the Fun Town acquisition and organic growth.

David Randolph

I'm used to see bullish stocks take a hit when they first cross $5, because many people are only allowed to short stocks above that level. Above $5 there is enough selling pressure to push the stock doubt over the short term.

Longer term fundamentals will win and shorts will feel the squeeze the next time the stock crosses $5, which can be as early as this week.

I'll continue holding GIGM for the long term.

David Randolph

Profit takers and short sellers couldn't hold GIGM below $5 for long. This is a positive short term development. If they can't keep it below $5 probably they will need to cover all the way up to $8.

I've designed two trendlines to work as guidelines (TL1 and TL2), but I won't use them in a rigorous manner as I did in the past. For now I'll continue holding GIGM, online gambling is growing very fast globally.

David Randolph

Volume on GIGM has decreased sharply over the last 4 trading days. I think that when volume comes back it will be to take GIGM to new highs above $6.

Almost no analysts covering the stock and profile contains only discontinued operations on Market Watch. GIGM has the power to surprise on the upside.

I'll continue holding GIGM.

David,

I'm trying to get a better understanding of your TA, so perhaps you can explain what I'm not considering when I chart GIGM:

How do you arrive at $ 4.50 for TL1 support?

I see a stock that has broken it's uptrend line and, given it's ascent from previous trend, could be a good candidate for a bump and run retracement back to $ 3.77 (33% of the high at $5.63) - We both seem to view that range as long range support (My T1 and your TL2)

Thanks.

It's hard to tell how much of the action in the last few days are attributed to Chinese New Year holidays in Taiwan.  Althoug this company is only traded in the US and not even listed in Taiwan I suspect much of the volume in GIGM is from institutions based in Taiwan.  I believe their New Years holidays is over by Monday.  I'd suggest caution if the price/volume does not recover by Monday.

Time to go Short for GIGM for quick profit, say 10-15% ;) :D ;D
