This seems almost like a sure thing --

CTDC -- up 70%+ today
Was up 70%+ yesterday
Even if fundamentally there are reasons to back it up, this stock must correct probably at least 20%

However, looking at the company, it has a market cap of $65M and revenues of less than $1M

Opportunity for taking advantage of the inevitable fade that will happen over the next week.

Why would you chance  CTDC having some blowout annoucement?  Very risky short IMO. That much volume something big could be one the horizon

I agree. It is a very high risk but also a very high gain if you're right.
It could be that some big news is brewing but also just a temporary China craziness MOMO.
Time will tell.

If you look at this stocks track record, it has had similar spikes several times in the past, all of which sharply declined in the weeks after.

Stocks cannot go up forever, and even if this thing is headed to $20 or $40, it won't get there without some correction.  I tried shorting this today several times but Ameritrade has no shares available.  Oh well -- chalk it up to research.

I got some at EOD since it closed at HOD and I expect a gap tomorrow morning.
Still runing in the AH. My plan is to sell at the open.
My theory is the 3 day run pattern. If this stock follows that plan it will have a big gap in the morning and either selloff or close as a doji which will start a reversal.

In any case, I would love to short this one but I also have Ameritrade and couldn't short a lot of stock I wanted.

This one has been great but it may be finished as this price is silly. But like CHNR who can say...

As of today IB had stock available for shorting but by tomorrow they may not so in one account I shorted what I had long in the other so will be flat regardless of what happens but this way I have a short position as so many times I cannot get stock to short once every one piles on.

The co CEO of CTDC is Aaron Zhu and I used to speak with him when he was CFO at CTGLF so this is why I had been paying attention to this stock but never expected a move from 2 to 12...amazing.

I wrote to CTGLF to ask them to get off their buts and do some promotion as they are a profitable software company in China and Hong Kong also so could easily have big gains if they only were known. This is a special time for China stocks that happens not to often so enjoy it while it lasts.

CXTI CHDX and CNTF are some onther China plays I am holding

CTDC over $14 in AH!! This is a gapper tomorrow morning for sure.

P.S. Still think this is way overbought and looking to take a short position soon.

stock halted! hope you got your short shares

I was wondering why it was showing 0's on the bid and ask. Do you know why it is halted? Is it the inexplicable fast run?

Garbage company, huge run. See CAFE last year.

I am not showing it halted. I covered at close. But just put in an order to check and it does not show up.

Well maybe SEC halted it but if they do it it is usually a few days later. They often investigate unusual trading and this one of a company with no profit going up 650% in a  few days is a sure candidate for a check.

Anyway today was very nice trade. The littel CTGLF I mentioned yesterday moved today on good volume. CHNR was a nice short. Wanted to play CESV but it never set up. Other China plays include NINE JRJC CHINA CHMS CHDX CAAS CXTI CLWT CNTF CBA...

Super year for stocks so far but how long can this last... amazing

it is most definitely halted. I'm surprised it didn't happen yesterday.
