I typed this up in Elite G's thread and upon submitting it, found out he had locked the thread so here it is.

What Lucas is saying is that the previous months only appear to look flat once the big jump in price occurs.  If you look at a chart of a stock that fluctuates between 20 and 50 cents but your Y-axis goes up to $2 then it's going to look like its not moving much when in fact is going up and down 150%.
