Nice technical breakout on AOB yesterday. If we take out $5.90 the sky is clear to defy the all time high set at $7.68.

I'll continue holding this fast growing Chinese (going global now) company for the long term .

David Randolph

Oh yes, AOB is fighting with the $5.90 resistance level. You see, if we cross that level and close decisively above it, the whole chart structure changes and the stock turns short and medium term bullish again, instead of bearish (longer term AOB has been bullish for a long time).

There's a nice post on AOB's Yahoo board:

AOB --a flying saucer--

I'll continue holding AOB for the long term.

Im back in AOB at 5.43... I checked out lycos I Watch and saw instituations loading up last couple weeks and today as well. It looks like we are going to get a strong push to 6 and above. Everything is lining up for a push to 6... Strong base in the 5.00s,  Good earnings due soon, Increased buying from institions, China growth hype, and PR of a acquisition.

I also don't know ket1390  :-[

AOB failed to close above the $5.9 resistance level and it sold off. Perhaps it is building an ascending triangle pattern. Nothing new on the fundamental side, I'll continue holding AOB for the long term.

AOB does not have to report until the end of March and historically they have reported at the "last minute" or late.

Was that doji today?

Any opinions on today's action?

I have an opinion.    My theory is:  it went down because I bought it.  :'(  Kinda like how I can make it rain by washing my car.

Seriously, it does look like a cup w/handle formation and I've noticed many times a sharp decline for a couple of days after the handle forms before the "big run".  This is just my opinion on observations I've made...I've been shaken out by them on more than one occasion.

On a more technical note, the bottom bollinger band is fast approaching, which would also coincide with the above statement.  If it closes below it I will bail out with about a 9% loss.

Other opinions welcome.

It is either range trading $5 - $6 or double top if it break down at $5.

Will take position $4.50.

I need an explanation:

Regulation SHO took effect January 3, 2005, and provides a new regulatory framework governing short selling of securities. It was designed with the objective of simplifying and modernizing short sale regulation and providing controls where they are most needed. La-Onda,

In order to short, you must "borrow" the shares to sell them. You buy them back later (hopefully at profit and return them to the owner) These shares are always (I believe) held in by brokerages in Margin Accounts

Obviously this means there is a finite amount of shares available.

Naked shorts means someone was allowed to short the AOB without those shares being available to borrow. If your link is correct, it means those who are Naked short will be required to cover their positions beacuse the shares they have sold do not exist.
