Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc. and Subsidiary to Display Latest Advanced Security Offerings At TMC 2006 Transportation Technology Exhibition
Will Showcase Tamper-Evident NO-REZ Non-Residue, Self-Voiding Seals and TS4A Air Brake Locks
TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:DDSI) -- along with its subsidiary CGM Applied Security Technologies -- will showcase its latest transportation security offerings at the Technology and Maintenance Council's 2006 Transportation Technology Exhibition, which begins February 14, in Tampa, Fla.

"Anyone involved in trucking cargo from one location to another knows security must be a primary consideration," says Tony Shupin, president and CEO of DDSI. "At this Transportation Technology Exhibition, we're showing products that address shipment security from multiple perspectives, in terms of both preventing the theft of rigs and in ensuring that if someone breaks into either the trailer or the cargo containers, it will be easily detected."

Digital Descriptor Systems and CGM Applied Security Technologies will be showcasing a full line of products, including the following:

-- NO-REZ non-residue, tamper-evident, self-voiding seals: Ideally suited for use on trailer doors because they leave behind no residue on items they protect, these hi-tech seals cannot be tampered with without leaving behind the indisputable evidence of a "VOID OPEN VOID" messages appearing across the label itself. For shippers who wish to employ a color-coding system, NO-REZ seals are available in blue, red and a wide range of other colors, even when purchased in small lots.

Evidence provided by NO-REZ can be invaluable in informing inspectors and owners that a break-in has occurred. The seals can also play a vital role in greatly reducing the likelihood of dangerous devices or substances being stowed away inside trailers without being detected by authorities.

Printable and easily adaptable to die cutting, NO REZ seals can be used with most conventional label dispensing devices.

-- TS4A air brake locks: Designed to secure tractors from theft, this device literally locks the air line from the air brakes in the tractor. Once installed, the system turns the airbrake safety system into a security device. When the TS4A system is employed, the rig cannot easily be moved until the lock is released.

TS4A air brake locks can be installed over most air brake systems in U.S.-based tractor models produced since 1985.

Located in the Tampa Convention Center, the TMC 2006 Transportation Technology Exhibition runs through February 17. The CGM Applied Security Technologies exhibit will be located at booth No. 609.

Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc. Announces Year End Results
>SEA GIRT, N.J., April 20, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:DDSI), an industry leader in the development of Homeland Security-related products, announced audited results for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2005. Record revenues grew more than 800 percent, to $3,335,631, from the 2004 year end report of $412,052. Gross profit rose 506 percent, to $2,226,727, from $367,270 for fiscal 2004.

In March 2005, DDSI acquired Somerset County, N.J.-based CGM Applied Security Technologies, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of various Homeland Security products.

"Our sales and profit numbers continue to improve steadily, from quarter to quarter," says Anthony Shupin, CEO of DDSI. "With just ten months of financial results since our acquisition of CGM, there's every indication the business strategies we set in motion in March 2005 are extremely effective. We're currently in the midst of a very strong turnaround."

Michael Pellegrino, DDSI's CFO, notes, "We continue to utilize planning and discipline to carefully navigate the company through this early stage of growth. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) losses of $220,166 for the ten months since the acquisition indicate that we may have come close to breaking even in cash flow had we had the full year."

About Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc.

what are the chances of this moving to .001 or even .002?

investor2005dd

is this the week? up as much as 100% today.

investor2005dd

100% up today....DDSI picking up strong support right now...

check out this article that came out today.

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/267883_ports25.html

here are some excerpts....

Teamsters cast port security as a workers' issue Monday, rallying at the Port of Seattle's Terminal 46 with other unions as passing truck drivers and train engineers sounded their horns in support.

At issue were some well-gnawed bones of contention, including the low inspection rates of empty cargo containers and the lack of background checks for truck drivers and others with access to port properties.

"We can't trust the shipping lines and we can't trust the expeditors," said Al Hobart, president of Teamsters Joint Council 28. "We have to inspect the containers -- all it takes is one of the containers in one of these ports to blow sky high."

Port of Seattle Chief Executive Mic Dinsmore told the U.S. Senate earlier this month that "the rate at which containers are screened is abysmal." Roughly 5 percent of all containers are inspected nationwide and in Seattle, whether by hand or by machine.

Expected as early as this week is an announcement about the Transportation Worker Identification Credential program, a post-Sept. 11, 2001, security measure that seeks to better control access to harbors, rail yards, airports and other cargo transit areas terrorists might target. The ID card program could affect as many as 6 million people.

Transportation Security Administration and Coast Guard officials have refused to discuss details of the plan before it is unveiled.

The ID cards, which are supported by the unions, the Port of Seattle, and the Washington Trucking Association, could bar illegal immigrants and people convicted of certain crimes.
