hi lana2b,

CHK looks to continue rebounding short-term, at least until RSI hits the previous profit taking points (RSI 60).

If you are holding CHK, hold as RSI approaches 60 and look for profit taking and SELL at that point!

Also, please, DO NOT fall in love with any stock.  If you bought high in September, you could have sold in mid December as RSI hit 60 and you had other chances in late January/February to almost recover your capital.

= Those new to swing trading template, PLEASE look out for profit taking as RSI approaches previous profit taking levels (typically 70-80, sometimes early at 60) =  ;)

I fall in love with puppies and BBQ!  (I used to breed German Shepherds)  ;)

Some speculation on Yahoo MB as to where GNBT may go if Generex receives FDA approval.

Here's one by hacksneezecough:

"GNBT should pop on FDA news.  News of FDA should make GNBT 10 bucks easy."

Before FDA, GNBT will face Canada first.  With meetings/presentations scheduled for GNBT in the coming weeks and months, I believe $5 short-term is very achievable.  With FDA approval, that will change everything.

But in Elite-G's area GNBT is promoted big at the moment with a RSI of 81.6 (per my ScottradeELITE). If we cannot assume big profits will be taken right soon, how do we justify buying when we should be selling? This confuses me somewhat.

May I insert my thanks here for the help the old-timers give to us relative newbies in the market. I've gone back in the pages here and have not located the swing trading template as yet, but I'll keep looking <g>

davidzwq and Tirebldr, thanks for the comments.

Tirebldr, if you read the earlier post, I said the follow:

Technically, RSI is above 70 and GNBT should be considered "overbought", a condition that "normally" triggers a price correction.  With that said, there are exceptions, which I have posted earlier (AMD, HOM, STX, etc.) where buying pressure overcomes the normal price correction and the stock continues its gain.

At this point, the stock becomes "untrendable" and as I stated before, the daily volume and buying pressure need to be the primary indicator and the technical indicators second.  If the volume and price falls, sell.  If the volume and price continues up, buy/hold.  But take a look at the MACD.  As long as it remains in the positive territory, I believe GNBT will continue to gain like AMD, HOM, STX, etc.  If MACD falls into negative territory, we may look to selling.

And welcome to swing trading MB where newbies to stock trading is the focus!  This newbie (since July 2005) is still learning daily to better support those new to stock trading and for those traders wanting to be more effective.  ;)

I reposted the template rev 7 below for you also:

A picture is worth a thousand words.

If you look at the 6 month chart below, the 50/200 day MA is the "long term" indicators of a stock.  Very bullish.

CNBC is doing a 7-7:30 PM (4-4:30 PM PST) program on Insulin called "dLife: Your Diabetes Life"

I am watching it right now!
I will post an update of the show as to what new technology they mention.

= Update =

Program covered the history of diabetes and insulin, historical negative effects of diabetes due to poor treatment, and the revolutionary diabetes breakkthrough because of insulin.  The program also covered improved testing methods/equipment and the evolution of insulin delivery:  syringes to insulin pump.  But no mention of Pfizer/Generex lung/mucosal delivery.

Now, why would CNBC all of a sudden do a program on insulin???

Bird Flu Summit starts tomorrow in Washington (Feb 27-28)!  Thanks gotfsm for the link from Yahoo MB.

http://www.new-fields.com/birdflu/agenda.htm

With the recent spread of Avian bird flu to France and Switzerland along with this summit in Washington, interest in Avian stocks will only increase next week!

= Weekend Summary =

Boy, what a weekend!  Haven't done this in a while.  ;)

A lot of interest in GNBT since Friday!  The question now is what will happen on Monday and next week?

As GNBT is setting new 52 week highs with extremely high volume and with RSI above 70-80 level, it is now up to the market to determine the fate of this stock.  Chart trends and technicals may not apply until GNBT becomes more trendable again.

Will GNBT dip on market open?  Will GNBT gap up on open?  Will GNBT set new 52 highs all next week?  Will GNBT sell off?  - All these are questions we cannot answer tonight.

I can only base my decision to hold GNBT shares on my experience with NVAX.  I bought NVAX at just above $1 and rode it all the way to $6, but rode it back down to $4.50 (my initial GNBT buy in was at $1.15).  If you check the 3SOF NVAX board, you will see my countless posts "hyping and pumping" NVAX.  Yes, I will admit I did "pump" NVAX.

I will also admit that I did some "pumping" of GNBT this weekend, but for different reasons.  When I developed the stock trading template, I wanted to be objective and not let emotions get in the way of trading.  And as you can see from the past few weeks of posts, I have done that, commenting strictly the technical indicators and charts.

As I reviewed GNBT more and more, I came to realize that GNBT has great potential for growth.  Yes, a lot of the Avian flu issue may be more hype than facts, and there is no certainty as to which Avian plays will get the "big" government contract/funding in the end.  But GNBT "does" have the non-injectable (oral spray Oral-lyn) insulin delivery on the market in Ecuador.  That a fact that no one can deny.

If you are trading or investing for certainty, Oral-lyn is a tangible factor to trade/invest with.  Future of small cap stocks are often uncertain, but that's where the most growth potential lies.  Those wanting security can invest in mid/large caps like AMD, HANS and such.  Those that seek growth potential will have to pick the best of the uncertainties.  For now, my pick falls on GNBT.  Is GNBT the "best Avian/BioTech" stock for growth?  Time will tell.

What if GNBT doesn't gain?  Well, then I will sell GNBT and go onto the next stock.  Simple.

See you at market open.

Before I sign off, I do want to repost the below article/link because I believe that's where the future of GNBT is:

"I have to repost this article, since I feel that this represents the future of non-injectable insulin press/media coverage.

Any reporter wanting to cover the non-injectable insulin story will have to address/mention Generex in their story because Generex is the only company (among many) that is actually MARKETING such a product!  And as a side note, they will also mention that Generex is also an Avian flu vaccine play.  = WOW =

As the word "Generex" circulates with press/media coverage and as investors watch the stock symbol GNBT scroll by on CNBC/Bloomberg stock ticker as one of market volume gainers (as it did the last few weeks), buying interest will only increase, driving the price higher.  At $2, it's cheap.  At $5, it will be a bargain for Institutional/Mutual Fund managers.  IMHO.   ;)

Oral insulin making strides
Updated: February 25, 2006

For the first time in history, the notion that insulin cannot be given by mouth has been challenged. Generex Biotechnology reported completion of a pre-market clinical trial using a fine mist oral spray, Oral-lyn™, which allows insulin to be absorbed through the lining of the mouth. Oral-lyn™ was given as a replacement for fast-acting mealtime insulin in ten individuals with type 1 diabetes.

Results showed that over a nine-day period, subjects were able to successfully replace mealtime insulin injections with Oral-lyn™ and maintain equivalent glucose levels. In fact, a short-term marker of glucose control, fructosamine, was slightly better with the use of the oral insulin mist compared to injections. Larger studies will begin soon with the hope of eventual FDA approval on the horizon."

I came by to see what the German market is doing with GNBT.

They are all positive on open.  The XETRA is still showing Friday's price.http://de.finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?s=gnbt&d=v1&m=a

The England's FTSE is not showing Generex activity yet.

1.9 - 1.93 Euro = $2.25 - $2.28.

Well, back to bed.  See you later at market open.
