Elite, I wanted to start to try making a contribution, so this is my first time posting a chart. I just wanted to bring STKR to your attention for possible G Pattern in the future - sorry ::)

Hey TT.. was hoping you would post  8)  Why the sorry?  Its totally cool to bring up a chart and ask about it.. I'm just bothered when people try to pump their stocks here.. for example:

I  think mbay is a good play right now.  Here is the link to the 3sof folder.  I'm playing this stock for my own reason not because of thestockster.com recommendation.  Good luck all.

http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?topic=4680.0

now I think thai626 is a cool guy and everything  :)  but that post has no reason to be here.  I already was asked TA about it and stated that I dont like p&d plays(its a stockster pump)..  I would like to think the reason many members monitor this thread is because I try to stay focused and find some good shit as I sift through whats hot right now.

As you can see I am very much against pumping my own picks unless I feel very strongly about them.  I'm not that high right now on anything I'm holding(but of course I'm hoping that can change)

Anyway STKR.. I was looking at this yesterday and decided it had a lot of resistance in the way.. but like you said maybe a possible g-pattern in the future with this nice g1.

Hey EliteG, I was was wondering what you thought of FMLY Technically.  Here is a post from Penney picks.  Fundamentally they look like a good play to me very undervalued alot of movies coming out in 2006.  Let me know if you see anything, volume on Friday was pretty good.

Hey Higher ;D good to see you.

FMLY - right away 1st impression..thats a heck of a lot of money traded Friday and I think people are going to be willing to place bets on it since it has been basing.. of course this is not a play I like because it is a bottom bouncer..which I dont feel gives me enough evidence to say anything but I would imagine that at this level traders are going to be willing to take the risk on moving towards the 200sma.  You might want to check news as to why this volume happened.. I'm just the chart guy.  ;)

yo stocky  8) thx dood,  PTSC just lookin incredible huh?  I really dont know what to say here.. its out of the ballpark..and out into space, I'll go out on the limb and say for now it has only 1 or 2 new highs left before consolidating or retracing.. but that volume is still good.. way to stay with it stocky  ;)

setravis

I have rode PTSC long and hard! I fell in love with her.

Hi EliteG,

What are the probable 1 or 2 highs which you think for PTSC? ( I'll jump in again to make some money). Thats what I asked earlier wondered if you were upset with me asking that question earlier.

Also, two more stock AZK and ARTG.
What is your say?

Hmm......I didn't know I was pumping this stock.  By no means was that my intention.  All I wanted to do was bring this pick to everyones attention..................instead of posting the chart, I posted a link.  I never saw anyone ask you about it but if you claim so, then they must've.   :-\

PTSC - probable resistance can be broken down into 3 fields:

1. historical - this is actually not a blue sky breakout for PTSC..  during 2000 it jumped from ~$0.50 to ~$7.00.. that price movement gives PTSC resistance @ 1.50, 2, 2.50, 3(well basically psychological numbers) I give less weight to historical resistance when it is so far away but..

2. psychological resistance - should never be underestimated.. and that simply means numbers where the mind starts telling investors this is nuts I need to take my profit(and where investors think that other investors will think this[and where investors think that investors will think that other investors think this])  psych numbers are usually whole numbers and on smaller stocks 50, 25, or even smaller  cent intervals.. also psych numbers can involve a percentage run, percentage psych numbers would be 100%, 50 %.. in this case 2000% might be important  :D

3. extensions - at least 2 ways

which is basically using fib extensions(which is doing the fibonnacci retrace from the current trends low to high getting the fib numbers and adding the difference between those levels to the top of the trend)  I would go from .09 to $1 on the extension..get the fib numbers in-between and add them on to $1... but looking at it these numbers are basically all broken.

also one can use a sort of price projection(connecting tops to form a ceiling and bottoms for a floor[on the crazy run] and hope they intersect..but then there is the question of linear or log as well..
-------------------------

I would use the good ole psych resistance with intraday analysis of price and volume to find a way out but who knows.. PTSC doesnt have to stop.  Right now my opinion is that everyone trading PTSC wants to see it react well at 2, not be rejected here at the 1.50 area, for support to show at gap zone of 1.2 but let it be known that this has been a huge move up.. a smaller huge move down right now is not out of the question and would not hurt PTSC technically but would hurt anyone entering the stock now.  Lets see who wins out, jittery investors who want to sell after the weekend, or excited investors who cant wait to get in.

-----------------------

AZK - has had a nice move recently.. those 3 white come with heavy volume so I would expect to see support here come in but definately want to see support come in by the 2 area.. a close below 2 wouldn't be the end of the world but to me it means timing.. but overall nice chart.

ARTG - what a pretty move since October.. and now flat price action that seems bullish but 3 is a long-term resistance area.. as a technician I would like to see it stall here for a while before breaking to make me more confident in a breakout if it were to occur but I do see something nice and powerful about this chart right now.. on the move up ARTG was bouncing up from the 20ema now it is using the 9ema and those are coming close together if investors are anxious that could create another leg-up

Yo thai626, no offense intended but this thread is not a place to advertise your feelings about a pick.. that post should go in the <<stock picking>> board unless you're asking about TA from me.

No prob higher  ;) but you should know FMLY would not be able to come up on the radar because it is a bottom bouncer.. it needs to rise dramatically and consolidate before it would come up  ;)

Hi elite
Since I asked About XTME where I bought @.117 it has gone up to .153 and has gone as high as.165 and looks like it's about to move over the 200 day MA. When does a bottom bouncer become one that you would consider. Thanks for you're TA :)

nice move on XTME wrang  ;) I would consider a bottom bouncer when it starts giving me enough info to go over.. which would make it not a bottom bouncer.. so with XTME I need a continuation of this move(volume and price) then a consolidation that is nice.. then it might pop up but of course thats just me  ;)  The market has so many plays available you can get sensory overload so I chop it up into fine pieces, for safety and because of their probability.

Wow Elite!!!

QuotePTSC - probable resistance can be broken down into 3 fields:

1. historical - this is actually not ...........lly but would hurt anyone entering the stock now.  Lets see who wins out, jittery investors who want to sell after the weekend, or excited investors who cant wait to get in.

You are marvelous. I admire you more and more.  No wander you are so good, your knowledge so deep and wide.  I don't think anybody else analyse stocks "the way you do" - from so many different angles.

Hey lana thx  ;)

Selling is the toughest thing to do.  I barely scraped all the possibilities and that discussion could take forever with debates from other TA guys I'm sure.  Here is an example of of Fib extension.

You must understand the Fib retrace first.. which is you take the bottom of a trend to a current top and get the magic numbers  :D (38.2%, 50% and 61.8%) within that range.  When you get those numbers you subtract them from the top of the trend and add that difference to the top of the trend to get your extension.  If you look at the chart its like flipping the retrace over the Top.  ;)

I promise we'll get more in-depth on all this stuff eventually but that is a long complicated discussion.  Its nice to be aware of these advanced concepts.. but I would not be surprised if great traders have never heard of them.. they are not required to be successful.  While I know of them, they do not play a big part in my trading.

lana2b

Thank you, Elite

How I know how to use it for extension. Before I used them just when stock doing down and i was losing $ -- in hope stock would rebound at one of those points

Thanks again
