Yes, and here's the excerpt to prove this company is doing their job:

"The Company currently holds an aggregate of 71 patents (19 of which are United States patents) and has an aggregate 58 patent applications pending in various jurisdictions."

Are they holding these patents because they are a scam?

If Generex is a "scam" that many on Yahoo MB is claiming, why are MM/fund managers buying GNBT?  Don't they have more info than us "individual retail" stock traders?

Why are they buying as GNBT is hitting 52 week highs?  And why did they buy after the Wednesday afternoon's drop?  They buy because they have info that tells them GNBT is going much higher than their buy price.  They do this for a living full-time with millions of dollars.  What do they know that we don't?

Ok, my final post.

If you are holding GNBT shares, you got three options for Monday morning.  The choice is yours:

1.  Sell on Market open
2.  Hold
3.  Buy more

Good night and have a nice weekend!

Still the buzz on Yahoo MB about GNBT.  Repost by telmatrix

1. First of all the Yahoo AH price appears to be wrong, and not just for GNBT. But regardless... AH trades result in more volatility, or price variations between bids and actual prices. So whatever you see you gotta take it with a grain of salt.

2. Second, that "For the Birds" article went out of its way to knock GNBT, and did so at some length which struck me as odd. Folks... This guy is just a "reporter". He writes about of sorts of stuff, and a master of none. He is not a biotech scientist, and he is not an expert in the industry. The spin on the article was slanted to make himself sound like he knows something. However he would not know what a hemagglutinin-neuraminidase protein was even if it bit him on the butt. It is insane to trade based on opinions of non-experts. Have your own mind (brain), and do your own DD.(Please take care in getting the facts right as the media is having lots of fun sensationalizing bird flu; competion is fierce and they need to make revenue too.)

3. Thirdly, the avian flu is a "virus"! A "promising" cure today does not mean too much (almost a don't care), as the virus is a moving target as its binding proteins have not mutated to a more contagious form. (The media is having lots of fun sensationalizing this; competion is fierce and they need to make revenue too.) AND since avian flu results in a respiratory tract infection, whether deep in the lungs or not, it still WILL be contagious when active. TB is also a deep lung infection, and can be quite contagious. You do not want to be sitting next to a coughing person with active TB (e.g. on a plane). Jeesh... Cannot believe the spins being put out on the wires. I believe what this means is that GNBT's program with clinical trials later this year is reasonably on target to meet the market demands. The have merely announced what they are doing, and they should to "us" shareholders. I did not see any malicious attempt to hype.

4. If you are here because of the bird flu scare, then fine. But GNBT's avian flu program aside, we have other important fish in the pot... And that pot is one of gold. A significant near future revenue clock is ticking, and that is Oral-lyn.

Oral-lyn Notes:

1. It has been publicized that Oral-lyn works, and is applicable for Type 1 & 2 diabetes.
2. It is now being sold/distributed in South America.
3. It will be approved in Canada in the coming weeks. When? This summer? Not sure, but another status report is likely soon.
4. Canada is a pharmaceutical distribution center for the world.
5. Oral-lyn is insulin, with a unique delivery mechanism (*). Consequently one would expect that it would not face significant uphill hurdles in the US FDA bureaucratic process, as compared to an entirely new drug development. Also once Oral-lyn is being distributed in Canada, I can imagine that enormous pressure will be exerted on the US FDA.
6. The market for Oral-lyn is almost beyond the scope of comprehension. If it is what they say it is (and it appears it really is), the market is many, many $$$ billions. Why? Cause it is a safe bet that almost everyone will choose this alternative over a needle, or a lung inhaler.
7.Diabetes is also a "growing" market. I'm sad to say that diabetes appears to be in itself a growing epidemic. Do some DD and you'll see this to be true.
8. Oral-lyn has many $billions in potential revenue. You owe to yourself to do some DD. Take a peek at sites like http://www.diabetic.com/ (for different countires) and assume $1k year for treatment.

Notes:
(*) : Drug delivery mechanism (as I understand it), consists of two components:
A. Proprietary companion components, compounds which permit the insulin penetration of and absorption into the bucal membranes.
B. Proprietary Rapid-Mist package, which meters exact dosages and delivers to bucal membranes.

Yes I let it out. I choose to, but since you brought it back up here goes again.

Kliff and Larry should know that a person who is stable on blood shugar can remain stable from some time. But after a few meals or days depending on what is eaten a diabetic requires assistance. In the trial the needs were met by the spary. There was no medical problems no one went into shock and all went well.

In short everyone on the study who took the product did not have any problems. They were able to maintain levels of insulin that were proper. This was not a test to see if Oral-lyn would get them under control. It was a test to see under real world conditions if a diabetic who was stable would stay stable using the product. They did and it worked well.

Could Oral-lyn get people under control. We will see in future tests.

Oh, by the way, using Kliff's criteria medication that would prevent heart failure could only be tested on those whose heart was failing at the time of the test. Administering the meds as preventative would not count, since it was not used to control the problem at its worst. That dog dont hunt.

mat if you think Kliff is a doctor, go have him perform your next surgery on your or your kids. I woulod rather have medical advice from a doctor.

And finally this article by Kliff and Larry is all sizzle and no steak. It is a very dangerous fabrication.

What this campaign means is that this comapny believes in what it is doing and has and will make every effort to keep the boat afloat so that they have a chance in solving some of the great medical problems of our time.

And by the way, in the article there is mention of Antigen. Express saying that they are working on this that and the other thing, and the article presents this as if it were a problem. I do not see this as a problem. Larry appears to be saying that GNBT and Antigen Express are not telling the truth about what they are doing. He makes it sound as if the company is saying that they are doing something about everything but are doing nothing at all.

There was a day in America that when a company said they were doing something the company was taken at their word. In this case, GNBT has had meetings in Canada, Washington DC, and London about the offerings of the company. They are working towards solutions that could be revolutionary, and they really have one with the insulin spray, and Larry and his friends do not like it.

In the article there is also a point made that GNBT was not able to pay off the outstanding debt this past year. Secondly, that GNBT paid out more then they took in. And lastly that the CFO said that things were not a great as they could be and that the company could go under if monies, income, revenue etc...

Guess what? Most companies do not pay their debts out every year. Some carry debt for many years, and that is not a problem. Matter of fact some of the time this is much better. It can be and has been a wise thing for many companies, who is to say that financing debt for GNBT is not a good thing. Could be the best thing.

And everyone knows how evil it is to spend more money then you take in. That is a sure sign of failure. But almost every startup company goes through a period of time where more goes out then comes in. It is part of business. And so is the fact that more shares are issued at times so that the company can finance corporate existance. So what!

Business is a risk. Attempting to provide a medical solution to a complex health problem is challenging and costly. It is unrealistic to think that a company can do everyting without spending anything.

And then there is this deal about reports and CFO saying that things could go under. Every small cap quarterly report, and annual report states the same thing for every company that reports to the SEC. They are required to in the risk statement. You can not punish or judge one company because they say it. They all do.

"You got Canadian Company trying to get gazillion market from poor little US drug company They already raise hell cause Canada undercuts drug prices now. Time for some MAD MONEY. Uphill battle for US Market."

My reply to ralroanoke226's post above:

I suspect that some big pharma is upset about the prospect of Oral-lyn and Canada the "source" of cheaper pharmaceuticals that people in the US complained about.

and Generex "happened" to be Canadian company ... hmmmmmm .... connect the dots...

I think the SmartMoney article was a "manipulation" ploy by many (big pharma/hedge fund/mutual fund managers, etc.) to get back at Generex now that they had a great 2005 and on track to higher gains and potentially huge market share of Diabetes worldwide with NO competition from the big pharma.

Am I crazy for thinking like this?

I already posted that what happened on the last trading hour of Wednesday was suspicious. What happened on Friday AH trading in conjunction with the SmartMoney article is even more - When didn't other "pure" Avian stocks drop like GNBT? Why only GNBT? I think because GNBT was targetted and a bunch of MM/hedge fund managers staged the drop on Friday AH.

It's my theory. Time will tell what truly happened.

I am sure Generex management is aware of what happened this week and I anticipate a PR from Generex.

Let's take a minute and think about this week.

What is Generex management doing right now?

Really, they all know about what happened on Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoon.

Their future is at stake and they must do something to protect their interest.

I am waiting for their PR.

If Generex is a scam, then I will drop my "long-term" recommendation of GNBT and only trade GNBT on short-term.

If Generex is not a scam, then GNBT will continue to gain and company will continue their work with Oral-lyn and buccal delivery system. And I will hold to my "long-term" recommendation of GNBT.

I already emailed Generex management an email Friday evening requesting a clarification/response PR to protect their position.

Let's see what they do next.

Yes, that's the fortunate thing about the SmartMoney article. It was released after the trading on Friday.

This will give traders/investors the entire weekend to get to the bottom of the truth about Generex and Oral-lyn.

By Monday, panic and misinformed will be settled down and informed.

Who knows, Generex management may already be working on a PR in response.

Let's see.

Along with regular hours tricks should be reason for the SEC to investigate this trading. Sudden plunges with all this volume during regular hours or after hours is very suspicious to say the least. I don't own the stock but have followed it closely the last few day's. Has anyone called the company for their view of what is taking place with this manipulation or is the company sleeping with the enemy? (MM'S) One minute the price is 4.80 and the next it is 3.20. Something is not right here.

I already sent Generex management an email.

I will post once I receive any reply.

My feeling is that Generex management is holding a meeting as we speak about what happened this week and planning a strategy.

They have a great PR company who has been working very effectively this year.

I can't imagine Generex/PR company letting things go.

I am anticipating a PR from Generex.

If you take a step back from this week with all the new "serious" money buy interest and media coverage (like the USA TODAY article showcasing Generex as the highest Avian gainer), those that may lose if Generex and Oral-lyn becomes successful may have been concerned.

How far will "they" go to protect "their" interests?

The big pharma are not happy about the loss of revenue/profit from the people in US buying same medications from Canada for less.

Generex is a Canadian company ready to go global with Oral-lyn. Connect the dots...

If you take a step back and look at the past and future picture, it will start to make sense.

The Diabetic market share is "BILLIONS" of dollars that pharma could lose out on to Generex. What have they done in the past? What are they capable of doing in the future?

Lies? Manipulation? Misinformation?

All very plausible.

Antigen working with FDA to fast-track flu vaccine

Antigen working with FDA to fast-track flu vaccine

http://www.generex.com/news-management/templates/press.asp?articleid=249&zoneid=2

BY KEITH REGAN
SPECIAL TO THE JOURNAL

WORCESTER - Antigen Express Inc. hopes to begin early-stage clinical trials as early as this fall on a synthetic peptide vaccine that could be made simply, quickly and in large quantities to help prepare for a possible avian flu pandemic.

The Worcester firm met last month with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and said the federal agency gave it clear instructions for moving ahead in the approval process for its vaccine - a road map that could have Antigen Express filing an Investigational New Drug application with the FDA within a matter of weeks.

"The FDA was uncharacteristically outgoing," said Eric yon Hafe, president of the eight-person firm, a wholly owned subsidiary of Toronto-based Generex Biotechnology Corp. (Nasdaq: GNBT). "They made it clear what they wanted to see from us."

The United States has seen flu vaccine shortages in recent years, and there is widespread concern that should an avian flu pandemic hit it could take years to produce enough vaccine through traditional means, which involve growing the drugs in eggs or cell cultures.

"We could produce it on a 100-kilogram scale at anyone of a number of contract manufacturers we work with. It's conceivable we could produce enough to vaccinate the majority ofthe U.S. population," said von Hofe.

Concern about an avian flu pandemic continues to mount. Last year, Congress set aside $3.8 billion to aid in preparedness, and several agencies have taken steps to speed production of new treatments, tests and vaccines. According to the Centers for Disease Control, human cases of the avian flu have now been confirmed in 37 countries, with 175 people infected and 96 dead.

At least one other firm, San Diego based Vicallnc. (Nasdaq: VI CL), is working to develop an alternative avian flu vaccine-production method using bacteria to produce its DNA vaccine.

In early March, the FDA issued guidelines clarifying the data it wants from vaccine makers. Acting FDA Commissioner Dr. Andrew von Eschenbach said that move "illustrates FDAs high level of commitment and key role in preparing for influenza pandemic, which is a top priority for our nation."

The FDA created an accelerated approval pathway for the vaccine Fluarix, used to prevent type A and B influenza, in 2005. A new lab test that reduces the time it takes to confirm avian flu from days to hours was also approved on an expedited schedule, with the FDA using what von Eschenbach called "flexible regulatory authorities."

Von Hofe hopes his firm's applicalions will benefit from that flexibility and from regulators' desire to have more vaccines in the pipeline.
Antigen Express intends to finish pre-clinical toxicity tests by late summer and is designing Phase I trials.

Antigen Express was founded in 1994 based on work von Hofe and Dr. Robert Humphries did at University of Massachusetts Medical School. Generex purchased the firm in 2003.

I'm a believer. It's really disheartening when greedy institutions, or whomever was behind the Friday AH plunge, harm a company for sheer profit, or to benefit another company. Generix has the products that will change the face of how medicine is administered, and big Pharma is likely scared because Generix owns the patents (71 and rising).

MMs should be investigated for their role. Just look at the buys/sells (400/100/400/100). Clearly the MMs were manipulating this to bring the pps down, oh, and let us not forget the panic sellers. Idiots.
