Wondering if Med Gen ("MDGN.OB") has come across anyone's radar?  They were up 37.5% yesterday.  The company issued 2 press releases since 6/6/05 about expanding their distribution channels to include AmerisourceBergen (largest pharmaceutical distributor in the US) and Happy Harry's Discount Drugs.  Didn't know if this could be a baby BRVO.

Thanks!

This stock up 163.16% at close today. I have had this stock for 42 days, it has spiked like this 3 times today. I bought 5000 shares @ .02 100.00, and sold @ .05 250.00. I am not promoting this stock, as I sold it today, and plan to wait until it goes back down to buy again. Just letting you guys know to maybe put it on the radar. It actually went up to .056 today!!!

nmbr1ballr

And the reason for this is thestockster.

Bates

What do you mean, please explain as I am fairly new to trading. Just trying to share information. What does the stockster have to do with this, and what is thestockster.

nmbr1ballr

thestockster is a website.  www.thestockster.com. basically the post up a pick after they buy it the stock soars for about 1-2 days then drops a good amount.  It is basically a pump and dump.  I would suggest getting out if you can at a high price.  You can always buy back lower in the next couple days.  I guarantee Monday the stock will be back down, probably higher then before they pumped it, but defanitly below the high it got too.

Do yourself a favor and sell this pig ASAP

thestockster.com is fraudulent and i cant believe they havent been shut down already... the website is probably run from a foreign country so the SEC cant touch them..

The stockster.com posts these buy signals on penny stocks with LOW FLOATS - IE MGEN!!

Look at the float!  8.38 million shares on a .01 stock - Guess what the market cap is....  $83,800!!

Meaning an individual working with thestockster probably bought 41,000$ (49%) worth of MGEN quietly over the past months so they could flip it...hence the reason for the unexplained  spikes over the past few months.

Im guessing they bought around .01 so now they have 5 bagged this in one day...

And you sir (bates) are getting smited because you may in fact participate in this scam....

As I said, I am new to stock trading. My picks are coming from research on information I get from this website now. I bought mgen couple of months ago because of an email I got, and it immediately went down when I bought it. I held on because I did not want to lose money. It spiked a couple of times, and I did not sell, it went below the point I bought again, and then spiked again higher than before. I sold it and mad 150 dollar profit. I was not pumping the stock, just letting the board know about it. I planned to buy it again if it goes back to the original point I bought it at or lower, but after I got an post from nmbr1ballr, I decided it had to go well below.01 before I buy again, as he informed me of thestockster website, went there and also thought it a scam. I apologize for any harm I have done to anyone with this pick. Not sure what it is to smite me, but I guess I deserve it not really researching this well before I posted. Sorry Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I just smited you for being an asshole to a new guy who is not very knowledgable.  He had no idea about the stockster and did not even know that was the cause of the stock rising.  How about instead of being a prick, you inform him and help his knowledge about stocks grow, inturn helping the whole 3stocksonfire.org community instead of possibly driving people away with the thought that the whole board is like you.  Don't mind him bates, I applauded you back.

You bought because of an email you got...give me a break! I seriously think you are part of the stockster.com scam... you magically show just before this p & d thing happened. And yes I will smite you for being bullish on a p & d stock that dropped -35% today.... I would expect the same to happen to me if I had done so.

I dont think I was being an asshole. He pumped a stock that was an obvious p & d and dropped 35% - I smited him. Am I suppose to applaud him for pumping a piece of ... and having it drop immediately the following day?
If that was the case then everyone would get applauded regardless of performance of their recommendation. The general rule is applaud for a good pick and smite for a piss poor pick. Id like to know where I went wrong there.

I would certainly be nice to any newcomer I thought had the right intentions...but showing up and posting on a extremely thinly traded penny stock while holding shares is bush league...and I am about 100% certain you were holding shares during the post.

I dont believe any of those statements for one second - that he bought based on an email tip.... send me the email. If you think this individual had the right intentions then so be it but I wont stand for it!

I dunno.  It wasn't like he was saying OK guys everyone buy this stock its going to soar.  He just gave his opinion and said it could be a possible heads up.  Maybe he could get a smite or something, but I just think the way you came at him was pretty harsh.   :-\ Jusy my opinion.

You may be right...but I would rather lean towards being harsh than allow a pumper to try to sucker members of this board for a quick buck...I smell a rat here. I hope he proves me wrong over the course of time.

Long term investments are short-term investments that have gone wrong.

Hey Calven :),

Actually, I remember MGEN being promoted by another site awhile back...i cant remember which one it was...so many of them, but I think Bates really didnt know that it was a stockster pick, and he just noticed it moving the day before stockster posted it...as a matter of fact i noticed it too, and actually planned to buy it the next morning until i found out it was a stockster pick the next day.

See..the good thing here is that we look out for one another...if u don't know something..someone else helps u out, as nmbr1ballr did. He let the board know it was a stockster pump. Not everybody will know whats going on everywhere so we share knowledge and info. Some of us are innocent and mean to help others while others i'm sure are not and are out to help themselves...and thats unfortunatley what happens here, especially in penny world. But, there are alot of good people here that try to help everyone. I also don't think Bates warranted the smite, its not like he has a history of it here that i know of..he is new, hasn't proven himself to be a nasty pumper...so maybe we should just give him a break this time and help him out....hey, while we're at it...can everybody help me out :D

Great to have people watching out for everyone....thats just NICE! ;D
