Hi E,
I was thinking should I stay with the old "buy at support, sell at resistance" on GSHF or just hold. I decided to hold and got shaken out when it went all the way to .255 (sold at .27).
Made a couple hundred, left a couple thousand profit on the table. Still bullish on GSHF so I'll be buying on a breakout at .414. Did 3SOF sell GSHF? I know your limit was .289..

Looking at AMEP it looks like it's consolidating well... I guess this time I'll be smarter and sell at the previous high .144 and if it breaks that I'll consider buying again. Your take?

AMEP has potential.. if it closes above .12.. I would be a buyer.. as long as there is some volume.. If it can do that it has a chance of surassing .144  ;)

I am new to trading and I'm looking to buy some VRDM or GSHF.
Are they pretty much the same? I'm leaning more towards GSHF because it has control of 3 companies, yet it goes up almost identically with VRDM. Better risk/reward.
I've seen you say "i'd buy on a breakout" a couple times in this thread. Isn't the saying, "buy low sell high?." It seems like you're trying to "buy high, sell even higher"
I've also heard, "follow the money", "chase momentum." I guess you are trying to make a modest profit but still keeping risk of loss very low.
very good analysis, i'm trying to learn how to do it. I've gotten a few books from the library, but they were mainly published in the 1940-1960. I don't know if the market patterns have changed. Can anyone recommend the best most recent TA book for a newbie?
Thanks all

Adam

Well this isn't really the thread for all those questions but let me try answer what I can:

I like GSHF more than VRDM simply because GSHF makes a safer penny play because it owns more than VRDM.. I get to play VRDM, INSQ and the rest of GSHF companies.  But when you decrease risk you also decrease reward.  The gains will still be huge if it works out  ;)

Mostly I like buying when a stock is going my direction.. its just like catching a train.. who am I to stop the train? lol  :D

Market patterns don't change too much.. but no book can teach you everything.. I recommend studying the markets yourself and using what you are able to see.  I remember reading "How to make Money in Stocks" by William O'neil to start off.. also checkout stockcharts.com free chart school.

You have already found the #1 thing to help a new trader.. a site with veterans willing to help.  ;D  The only thing left is to sign on with 3stocksonfire Premium  >:D  ;)

Yo Adam  8)

LVLT - they are buying some company.. investors liked the news before mkt and created a gap.. now a bit of pressure but I like this stock.. i like that volume isn't crazy.. people did not dump their shares with this gap  ;)

CHID - needs to stop chidding around  :D.. 9 ema supports.. 20ema will if need be.. the thing is CHID needs a news release to bring in volume..

G,

Thanks for your advice. I sold PWEI and I am buying TOMO.

What's your take on HMSC and ANGO? I have both.

Thanks,

HMSC - volume is low.. with pennies you have to be strict, i would let it go
ANGO - consolidating.. todays action comes without volume.. i lean bearish on this one short-term

G--bothered by naps sell-off?

Would averaging down be ok to do here since I bought above 5?

also wdpt...it just doesn't want to move!

GNBT is supposedly rising on gap-up from the 3.30 area. Quoted from someone on the yahoo boards. I have no idea, theres also rumors about the bird flu (non deadly version) entering the US today? Does TA work for pennies despite their big moves on news?

Livana

Elite - what about DVW? nice solid up trend since the beginning of the year.

pgpm, already up to 0.04 from 0.009 but pr says shares can go to $33?  what you think master g?

NAPS - i'm bothered by any stock that doesn't move my way immediately  :D.. I would consider avg down ok.. I think NAPS will bounce back by end of day or tomorrow  ;).. I would assume 4.50 as support.. and most likely will put a stop just below.

WDPT - yes frustrating.. some companies just dont know how to advertise their company.. its a solid play.. just needs news to lift it.. I would imagine some volume this week.

TA definately works on pennies!

GNBT - peaking out of its tiny consolidation but investors are holding back still unsure..if news hits this will fly.. and I think downside is limited.. place a tight stop and you're good to go.  ;)

DVW - it has held the 20 ema for quite some time but may be ready to consolidate a bit now.. I would wait on entering although I do like the volume
