I saw that - you can buy it as a do it yourself kit or have it assembled for you.  Can't be too much of a car, but it will produce a lot of jobs - assembly and repair of crummy assembly.  I doubt it is much more complicated than a motor bike.

Would you want your local mechanic putting together your car.  Maybe they should do a joint venture with Ikea.

The car, I hear, is low quality, but the Indian loyalty and cheap price attracts clients.

But the stock is better than the cars, I think.

its india.. (I am an indian) growing country where people till today have cars for going out to parties, family get togethers and two-wheelers for daily chores. Youngsters still get two wheelers when they go in college. Ave income is low for majority. Its the masses Tata wants to move from  two wheelers to four wheelers.

For indians car quality wont be problem as their entreprenuerial thinking will make them work it out. Every Indian thinks to smart in every field.

This stock has potential to rise on fundamentals and market geography. Also Tata motors is collaborating with Europeans ( british and french) for other cars (indica).

The Indian market has been worse than here.
