Interesting article Auss. The piece about OER and its influence on CPI was something I was not aware of.

I was looking at GIGM this evening as a short for tomorrow. It retraced about 50% of the drop from $8.50 to $6.20, and looks like a bear flag on the chart. The rounding at the top of the flag is indicative of a Roll Over Beethoven formation. Short term target either a retest of $6.20 or the $5.60 Jan 06 high. Stop out with a cover above the trendline on my chart which is also approx the 9 ema.
GO IN THAT HOUSE OF PAIN THAT YOU SEEM TO WANT TO BE IN, BUT GET AWAY FROM ME.  I'M TRYING TO WORK, DAMMIT.

Agree, it would need to breach the 9ema today to negate that bear flag a bit, else it may try an retest the lows.

Whoda thunk indeed Melf, certainly not me.

Aussie,

Yeah, that whacking GIGM took off earnings really surprised me.  :o

GIGM has been my best trade for 2006, long term it's still got a great upside potential.

Great.  Congratuations!

The below is a copy paste from another GIGM thread (too many around!!)

We've got a lot of multiple threads going.  I'm sure that it's a time-consuming pain in the you-know-what for the 3SOF to do the housekeeping of combining them, with everything esle they've got to do.

:P

GIGM had a good day yesterday in a lousy market.  It closed above 7.12-7.13 resistance, so it's got a shot at 7.85-7.87. resistance  7.85 was the low of the gap down to 6.18 (arrow on the chart).  7.87 was the low off the the triple Bearish Rising Wedge targets.

Good luck, Aussie!  EDIT: Hey, your XING is up big in pre-market...over $1.50.  Great!

nice recovery IMO  ;D

[GIGM has got a chance of bottom here basis this pattern on the 10-minute chart.   If GIGM can take out 7.08-7.12, the late May Bearish Rising Wedge lows of 7.85-7.91 would be IN PLAY.

Nice 10%+ rally today in GIGM.  The 7.85-7.91 Target MADE.

Congratulations for your TA on GIGM.

Perhaps you can take a look at LTON  ( see buy back program news at

today having good volume and over 10% up)

I sold GIGM into strength on Friday as I think it will pause or possibly be sent back from near term resistance. Indicators still look good, but volume is weakish. For sure I'll buy back if it breaks through that $8 resistance zone.

OK I had to buy back on the break and hold of $8,volume increased nicely, further the move through 50sma was great confirmation of the strength of GIGM right now. It has now erased that 20% drop a few sessions back and some. MACD histo just crossed the centreline today as a sort of final tick on the action. I am liking the GIGM technicals here (fundamentals we know are shaping up nicely)

Well another VERY interesting release today in that a SEC form 3 was filed by GIGM confirming purchase of shares by SANSAR Capital management (identified as a 10% owner of GIGM) of 5.5m shares on June 14th. Now June 13th & 14th coincidentally was the 2 day period where GIGM hit its bottom just above $6!!! I now want to buy more GIGM, this for me is confirmation   of my reasons to buy.  Here is the link http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1105101/000136760206000001/xslF345X02/primary_doc.xml

Also on a more general note, Louis Navellier http://www.navellier.com/ a long time succesful newsletter / portfolio manager are turning bullish on the market especially for end of this qtr and moving through earnings season http://www.navellier.com/marketmail/ They are basically saying now is a fantastic buying opportunity, and one of the stocks they have / recommend at these levels is GIGM. Who knows? I certainly don't, but am taking calculated positions in stocks which I think will show tremendous growth over the coming months / years, GIGM is one, XING another.

The Fed news about about inflation being contained and alaying fears of mutliple future rate hikes has justified what Navellier stated the previous week. Fundamentally strong stocks are set to benefit for sure. GIGM fits the fundamentally strong bracket for me.

Hey Melf are in back in GIGM,

Aussie,

No, I daytraded the June 23 Ascending Triangle (intraday chart) breakout to 7.85-7.91 resistance, and sold it there.

Good job on GIGM, Aussie.  Applause.

I'd like to see GIGM go up to 9.29-9.35, the June 5 high and the May 19 gap, then come down and put in a Right Shoulder of an Inverse H&S (pattern in green), then take off to the upside.

That would put something like 12.40 IN PLAY (depending on the point of the breakout).
