Lots of nice movers today, but my little FPP did extremely well!

As I have been "averaging down" on this one, my average price is now 4.5125  ;D

I'll attatch the daily and the weekly charts to show the possibilities of this stock.

I'm sorry that I can not analyze the charts for you, maybe somebody else would?

Thanks - and good luck!

cumulina,

FPP is in a bearish trend right now:

1. On March 7, it broke below a four-month Descending Triangle on the takeout of the double-bottom of 6.75.  That put a downside target of 3.33 IN PLAY.

2. After bottoming at 4.80, the stock rebounded back above the bottom of the Descending Triangle (6.75), and slightly above the top of the Descending Triangle on April 18, where it put in a Bearish Island Reversal Top.

An Island Reversal Top has a gap up (April 17), and then a gap down (April 24), leaving an "island" of prices (7.15-8.10) where longs are stranded.  They can't get "off the island" without taking a loss.

The fact the the Island Reversal Top occurred at the top of the Bearish Descending Triangle reinforces the bearishness of the trend.

3. In early May, 2006, the stock tried to bottom at the Bearish Cross of the 50 and 200DMAs.  The low was 6.04.  That failed, which is another bearish confirmation.

4. FPP then double-bottomed at 4.81 on May 19, and bounced.  First resistance was that 6.04 low at the Bearish Cross of the moving averages.  That rally failed at 6.00 even, re-confirming the bearishness of the trend.

5. On June 13, the 4.80-4.81 double-bottom broke to the downside.   :(

Today, FPP is down 6% at the moment.   >:(

Absent something good on the fundamentals, it's difficult for a stock that is in a bear trend, like this one is, to sustain rallies.

You've obviously held FPP for quite awhile since your average cost is only 4.5125.  I know that you like the fundamentals on this company.  Just wanted you to be aware of the bearish trend while you've still got such a nice gain in the stock, and the fact that FPP has got an uphill battle to fight with so much overhead resistance.

Good luck!  I hope it goes up a lot if you decide still to hold it for the long-term.  ;)

Thank you very much, Melf Elf.

When I read what you write ...ouch! It doesn't look good, does it?

I tend to see my dear little stocks trough rosy-coloured glasses, and I know that is very, very wrong.
At least if I want to make money on them.  ;)

Well...I think I'll hang on a while longer though.
The last report was good, and with oilprices being what they are (and going to who-knows-where) small companies like this one might just come up with a surprise.

I hope nobody got burned today with the drop, but it seems to me that it's red all over.  ???

Take care, and good luck to all of you.
Happy trading...

cumulina,

No, my friend, it didn't look good at all.  In fact, it turned out to be a great short.   FPP is down 42.6% since July 6.

The 3.33 target MADE yesterday.

I'm glad that you made money on it, Melf Elf. Well done.

I - off course - did not.

As a matter of fact: Due to being as stubborn as I am, I took a well deserved beating.

Now holding only a token small portion of FPP.

Hopefully I'll learn from this!  ::)
