If God is your co-pilot, maybe you should change seats. – Seen on a bumper sticker

Investors had more confidence today as the market continued its uptrend.  Oil prices were lower today.

The strong stocks stayed strong as AAPL and popular kids clothing stores, ANF and AEOS were up about a dollar.  My October calls are showing some good green finally.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=aapl+anf+aeos

Computer seller SYX up a buck as it fights to make it onto the IBD 100 list.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=syx+ttm

Fous found this stock a week ago.  He calls it the perfect chart.  I have no idea what they do, but perfect chart!
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=MNCS.OB&t=6m

Plastic pipe maker, PWEI is beyond getting killed.  It bounced up $2 from its 50dma and with a PE of about 4; I cannot see it staying down there for long. It sucks moose ass!
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=PWEI&t=6m
right at the 50dma (or is that the 32 1/2 day ma?)
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ta?s=PWEI&t=1y&l=on&z=m&q=l&p=m50&a=&c=

Optics maker, FNSR has been kicking butt since I sold it!
Probably time to buy HMSY too.  That was up today; naturally
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=FNSR

South American electric utility, ENI, showed up in the IBD stocks in the news and sports a pretty chart.  http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=ENI

Honda is working on a hydrogen powered car.  Hydrogen is a byproduct of water, hence, cheap and available.  The car will come with a machine that you keep in your garage to produce the hydrogen.  Ford and GM, who worked hard to put the electric trolleys out of business by replacing them with gas guzzling busses, continue to focus on building trucks and SUV's.   Go figure.

I look forward to going out today with my renewed economic confidence.  Snowplow

I once wanted to save the world – now I just want to leave the room with some dignity. – Lotus Weinstock, comedian

The market reached new highs and the blue-chips of the month continued to do well.

I was watching Jim Cramer's Mad Money last night, because this is his type of market.  Good stocks that have been beaten down are emerging from their cocoons.  He mentioned bio-tech firm, DNA, which was up $3.  Was it worth a $3 rise or did his pump cause it to go up?  Either way, it was good if you had it.

Cramer did his magic with new issue DIVX.  DivX is a video code created by DivX, Inc. (formerly DivXNetworks, Inc.), which has become popular due to its ability to compress lengthy video segments into small sizes while maintaining relatively high visual quality. Cramer said not to buy it early, but the stock finished in first place for the day, up almost 20%!!!!

Some Cool cat pix had awesome days – BITS and CLEC were up over 11% each on great volume.  CLEC was in a coma until Fous from the 3 Stocks on Fire board gave it his highest recommendation and it blasted out of its base.  BITS is having an awesome month with not sign of slowing up.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=bits+clec+able

PSMT is like a BJ's or a Costco store, offering bulk food items.  They do business in South America.  The chart looks good and they are approaching the magic number 15 which is the price the big funds like to pay for a stock.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=PSMT

PWEI bounced a little on average volume (its first green day in a while) and NVEC is barely staying above 30.

The trouble with being in the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat. – Lily Tomlin

Most people work just hard enough not to get fired and get paid just enough money not to quit. -  George Carlin

The market was slightly higher today and oil rose to $63 a barrel.  The rising price of oil was a great excuse for many businesses to raise prices.

SYX was up another 5% to push it over 15 again - last Friday, they blew it back down from the IBD 100.  Let's see if it sticks this time.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=hayze+syx+tnl+divx+dna+wal+hh+nstc+psmt+q+hmsy+nuhc+josb+nfi+gigm+grow+angn+pspt+bits+simg+cwtr+sbux+zumz

Another IBD 100 candidate is global consulting firm, PRFT that spells profit!  It has a nice chart, decent volume and business is growing at a nice pace.  Check it out!
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=PRFT&t=1y

Hot IPO, DIVX up another 9%, or $2.   Cramer is getting the better of this one as it rose about 30% for the week.  The company has a program that shrinks video codes for computer play and storage.

PWEI is now below 30.  An insider made a big buy today, and hopefully, that insider is not an idiot.  I think he heard the rumor I made up that the new Enron exec that is going to jail will have his cell made of PVC pipe.

NVEC dropped below 30.   It broke its trend line and is no longer in play despite it being the future of technology.

And I still like the clothing retailers are doing today .http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=AEOS+ANF+ZUMZ

At my gym they have free weights, so I took them. – Steve Smith

George Carlin's Views on Aging

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

"How old are you?" "I'm gonna be 16!" You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life . . you become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there?
Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40.
Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away.

Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there.

Into the 90s, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92."

Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I'm 100 and a half!"

May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

=================================================================================================================

I think the life cycle is all backwards.

Few men make themselves the masters of the things they write or speak – John Selden, judge

Today the man from Verizon, the local phone company came by to tell me why my computers were running like snails.  He starts explaining how it is something in the cables or from the main box, etc., etc, etc........this is his third visit in a week.

At this point, I do not care why they are not working right, just fix my computers.  I do not need to know how the phone lines work, Mr. Graham Bell, just get it working.

But with stocks, there must be some kind of understanding of why a stock should be bought or sold.  You must understand the inner workings.  Is the chart right?  How is the volume?  Does it have earnings?  Are they growing?  Do they have a new product?  Is the industry growing?  Basically, why will this stock go up!  Many times I get caught up in the excitement of a rising stock and on-line banter and make a purchase I later regret.  Then it is time for me to reread "How to Make Money in Stocks" by William O'Neal and get my trading form back on track.  It is an easy to read book and costs about $10.
http://www.amazon.com/How-Make-Money-Stocks-Winning/dp/0070480176

Here some of Harry Newton's theories on the sudden drop in oil prices.  A day without Harry's column is like missing your morning coffee!
http://www.technologyinvestor.com/

1. Cheaper oil and lower interest rates will help get Republicans elected.

2. We have an "oil" administration -- Cheney and Bush are from oil. They understand it.

3. There is only a handful of oil producing countries, each of whom could be spoken with. If Pakistan got the message, why not Saudi, Kuwait, etc.? It's a small favor to drop prices until November.

4. There are only a handful of big oil producing companies, all of whom are major contributors, and major beneficiaries from recent tax and other legislation Washington has passed.

5. oil producers, enjoying the recent spike in fuel prices, raked in petrodollars and put much of their profits in U.S. Treasury bonds, causing bond prices to rise and interest rates to fall. That was serendipitous.
It would not surprise to see both oil prices and interest rates rise after the November elections.
However, in Tobin Smith's column, he notes:
http://www.changewave.com/

Nothing except MISSING the "greatest story never told" stock rally, thank you very much. And maybe the vast right-wing conspiracy that has brought down gasoline prices as we head into the election -- now there's a good one.

(Folks, I've lived in Washington for more than a decade and politicians have a hard time organizing a softball game, much less an energy conspiracy. Furthermore, if Dubya IS the dumbest human being alive, it seems a bit ironic that he has masterminded the greatest commercial price-fixing conspiracy in the history of the world. But I digress ...)

SYX had a good finish to the week and will make the IBD 100 near the top.  This will either boost the stock some more or kill it on Monday.  The company has had explosive sales over the past few quarters.

Blackberry maker, RIMM got mucho analyst upgrades and shot up 20% or $16!  I wish I had some calls on that one!

Former favorite, NGA, jumped 25% for some reason, trucker USAK got a bid and was up 11% and DIVX continued to rise to $24.

The fancy clothing stores, ANF, AEOS, etc. pulled back today, but I am bullish on them for the short term.

Ones I am watching:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=nstc+simg+hrt+mig+cwtr+tnl

PWEI's pullback seems linked to a hedge fund, Pirate Capital.  They had a lot of the stock, but took a big hit with some bad small caps.  Investors feared that Pirate would have to liquidate PWEI and that is why they bailed.  I think it is a good buy.  The stock has a high short interest and is very financially fit!  Nice gain today on 2x volume!

Subject: Art Exhibit
A couple attending an art exhibition at the National Gallery was staring at a portrait that had them completely confused. The painting depicted three very black and totally naked men sitting on a park bench. Two of the figures had black weenies, but the one in the middle had a pink weenie.
The curator of the gallery realized that they were having trouble interpreting the painting and offered his assessment. He went on for nearly half an hour explaining how it depicted the sexual emasculation of African-Americans in a predominately white, patriarchal society. "In fact," he pointed out, "some serious critics believe that the pink weenie also reflects the cultural and sociological oppression experienced by gay men in contemporary society."
After the curator left, a young man in a Kentucky T-shirt approached the couple and said, "Would you like to know what the painting is really about?"
"Now why would you claim to be more of an expert than the curator of the gallery?" asked the couple.
"Because I'm the guy who painted it," he replied. "In fact, there are no "African-Americans" depicted at all. They're just three Kentucky coal miners, and the guy in the middle went home for lunch."

God Loves Blondes, too
A blonde finds herself in serious trouble. Her business has gone bust and she's in dire financial straits. She's so desperate that she decides to ask God for help. She begins to pray..."God, please help me. I've lost my business and if I don't get some money, I'm going to lose my house as well. Please let me win the Lotto."

Lotto night comes, and somebody else wins it.

She again prays..."God, please let me win the Lotto! I've lost my business, my house and I'm going to lose my car as well."

Lotto night comes and she still has no luck.

Once again, she prays..."My God, why have You forsaken me? I've lost my business, my house, and my car. My children are starving. I don't often ask You for help, and I have always been a good servant to You. PLEASE let me win the Lotto just this one time so I can get my life back in order."

Suddenly there is a blinding flash of light as the heavens open. The blonde is overwhelmed by the Voice of God Himself.. .

"Sweetheart, work with Me on this... Buy a ticket."

The upcoming marriage
Jim-Bob returns to the family cabin in Squirrel Hollow with an ear-to-ear grin.

"Daddy", he says gleefully to his father. "I've met the girl I'm gonna marry. And guess what, Daddy - she's a virgin!"

His father throws down his pipe and says "No son o' mine ain't gonna marry no virgin. If she ain't good enough for her own family, she sure ain't good enough for mine."

People will accept your ideas much more readily if you tell them Benjamin Franklin said it first.  -- David H. Comins

Big Ben said today would be a good day in the market.  But he is dead.  Oil was down below $60, but the market was not impressed.

Magic was in the air for NMGC.  This company that makes chips for hand held TV's is rumored to be working on a deal with AAPL.  The stock is up 20%.  I was really impressed by this one a year ago when it was $7 and TV's in the cell phone was just a dream by folks who don't get enough TV.

AXR had another good day.  Mr. Market liked this stock when it was 52.  It immediately took a dive to 38, and low and behold is 58, with the help of a $7 gain yesterday and $2 today.  The company sells magazines and real estate in NM!

GIGM WAS DOWN yesterday on big vol because the US is not allowing credit cards to charge for on line gambling.  (Internet Kiddie Porn charges are ok though)

GIGM focuses mainly in the Pacific.  Mahh Jong.  I think it is a good deal - up 5%

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Oct. 3 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In light of the passage of new restrictions on online gaming in the U.S., GigaMedia Limited (Nasdaq: GIGM - News) would like to clarify that it has been and remains a pure play international business -- with no U.S. source revenue.

GigaMedia therefore anticipates no adverse financial impact from the new legislation.

"As a major provider of online entertainment software for the enormous non-English language markets of the world, we are very enthusiastic about our growth and market prospects," said Chief Executive Officer Arthur Wang.

"GigaMedia has been a first mover in providing truly localized solutions for Europe and Asia," explained CEO Wang. "Our focus and extensive experience in the international markets is both the foundation and future catalyst of our strong growth."

You know you're never more indignant in life than when you're shopping in a store you feel is beneath you and one of the other customers mistakes you for one of the employees of that store. – Dennis Miller

I was in the offices of a lawyer friend on mine in NYC.  I noticed the Shoe-Shine man who went from office to office shining lawyer's shoes while they were on the phone.  My friend pointed out that he is there 6 days a week and works about 10 hours a day.  So I figure he does about 12 shines an hour at $6 a shine – and most of the lawyers tip about $4.  That is about $120 an hour, but let me slow it down and say he only brings home about $3000 a week, tax-free.

It turns out that he lives in a large rent controlled apartment in Manhattan and owns two homes on Long  Island that he rents out to relatives from his country that have come here to work, that information cost my friend $6 plus a $4 tip.

My point is, what is better, to be a well paid lawyer with a lot of stress, working long hours or a better paid Shoe-shine man who enjoys his work?  More on this later.

The stock market was unusually peppy today as it hit a new high.  Oil prices rose due to trouble in Africa.

I took advantage of some big gains today in ANF, AEOS and SBUX by selling the Oct Calls I owned.  A 100% gain is hard to pass up and I do not want to get too greedy.  Cramer put a price on SBUX of $40 to $45 in his radio show today.

The teen retailer, ZUMZ, which I own, sells surfer and skateboarder clothing.  The stock, which has been working on the right side of a cup, also had a solid day, up a dollar.  I think this company will continue to grow as children go out of their way to dress in ways that annoy me.  http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=ZUMZ

Airplane parts maker, LMIA, got a big 10% jump on a big Gulfstream order.
I had LMIA in the past, but sold it at a higher price.  Regardless of gas prices, people will still fly if they have to get somewhere fast and economically.

The man who can drive himself further once the effort gets painful is the man who will win. – Roger Bannister, runner

Not much drive in today's market as job data drove the stocks down.  Google announced it was buying internet video posting site, YouTube for $1.6 bil.  You are not going to make scratch like that working for the man.  I bet the creators are two twenty-something geekoids who started the company in their basement and did not get their first kiss until they were 23 because they were concentrating on how they were going to spend all the money they were going to make.

Most stocks were down today.  Techs fell due to Micron:
Micron Technology slid 2.38, or 14%, to 15.16 after the computer-memory manufacturer Thursday said its fiscal-2007 capital-spending budget is expected to more than double from a year ago to $4 billion, following a fourth quarter that disappointed analysts. Micron has been trying to move into higher growth areas such as NAND flash and imaging chips for phones and cars. Merrill Lynch cut its rating on Micron stock to "neutral" from "buy."

Starbucks fell 27 cents, or 0.7%, to 38.42, pulling back from strong gains Thursday after the coffee retailer reported a higher-than-expected rise in September same-store sales of 6%. The ever-growing Starbucks also raised its target for global stores to 40,000 from 30,000, as well as introduced plans for warming ovens in 6,500 U.S. stores by the end of 2008, starting in New York.

Sovereign Bancorp jumped 2.45, or 11%, to 24.05 as a potential boardroom battle next week could lead to the dismissal of Chairman and Chief Executive Jay Sidhu. Seven of the bank's 12 directors have been allegedly pushing for Mr. Sidhu's removal; however, he is supposedly backed by Sovereign's largest shareholder, Spain's Banco Santander Central Hispano, which holds two board seats and about a 25% stake in the company. Banco Santander's shares edged down six cents to 16.04.

Chattem surged 9.44, or 27%, to 43.87 after the maker of over-the-counter health-care products agreed to spend $410 million in cash to acquire the U.S. rights to five consumer brands. The brands, which include Act, an anti-cavity mouthwash, and Cortizone, an anti-itch product, are being bought from Johnson & Johnson, which acquired the brands when it bought Pfizer's consumer health-care operations earlier this year. Shares of J&J slipped 19 cents to 64.92, while Pfizer was off 23 cents to 27.76.

Shares of Genta rose eight cents, or 11%, to 88 cents after the company's proposal for a trial of its injection for a type of leukemia completed a special protocol assessment by the Food and Drug Administration. The biopharmaceutical company said the proposed trial will be conducted in patients who haven't received chemotherapy

In the Eugene portfolio universe, an old friend, airplane parts maker HSR jumped 12% and is working on the right side of the cup.http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=HSR&t=1y

The National Poetry Contest had come down to the final two contestants,
a Yale graduate and a redneck from Texas.

They were given a word, then they were allowed two minutes to study the
word and come up with a poem that contained the word. The word that they
were given was "Timbuktu."

First to recite his poem was the Yale graduate. He stepped to the
microphone and said:
Slowly across the desert sand
Trekked a lonely caravan;
Men on camels, two by two
Destination Timbuktu.

The crowd went crazy! No way could the redneck top that, they thought.
The redneck calmly made his way to the microphone and recited:
Me and Tim a huntin' went.
Met three women in a pop up tent.
They was three, and we was two,
So I bucked one, and Timbuktu.

The redneck won hands down!!!!

Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do. – Michael Korda, publishing executive.

The market was shaken by a Nuclear Bomb test in North Korea.  The work on the street is that if one of those bombs lands within 50 feet of you, it will have a lasting impact on your retirement plans.

Airplane parts maker, HSR continued looking good as it works the right side of the cup.  Here is the briefing story that stimulated the turnaround.

HSR Hi-Shear -- small stock, low float, improving chart (9.90 +0.70) *****

Former IBD 100 name Hi-Shear (HSR) has recently pulled back more than 50% from all-time highs, has consolidated around its 200-day MA around $8, and has today gapped up above its 50-day and 50-day exp moving averages. It's not much of a trader's stock, but for those w/ a longer-term horizon and the patience and risk tolerance to deal with low-volume, low-float names, HSR may be worth another look. Co is a provider of aerospace equipment (makes exploding bolts, separating equipment used by the Space Shuttle, airplane ejector seats). Co also makes LifeShear cutters for freeing accident victims. The gap provides a little more confidence that cos' long downtrend may have reversed. Note that its float is about 2 mln shares -- Mike Tarsala, [email protected].

NTRZ has become the talk of the 3 Stocks on Fire crowd.  They are the world's leading producer of rice bran and rice oil.......made from the waste of the rice!

NutraCea, a health science company, engages in the development and distribution of stabilized rice bran and rice bran-based products for the consumer food and animal feed sectors. Lots of insider buying!
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=NTRZ.OB

It could be a fad, but it has hardly gained the momentum I think it is capable of.  This is fine pick with a lot of potential.  Their materials cost is nominal, yet there is a great demand from the health field (rice bran has a huge amount of anti-oxidants) and the food industry.  See for yourself.

PTSCW.ob, which I have owned for a long time was up on huge vol on Friday.  They are a small company that makes micro processors that allow computers to communicate.  I bought an s-load at .95 and have held.  I think this can be big.  If you love me, check it out.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=PTSCE.OB

XING AND SIM look like they may be IBD 100 material as they both crashed through 15!  XING is a Chinese telephone monster and looks like it will continue to steam upward.  http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=xing+sim

MCNS.ob, the company with the perfect 45 degree angle chart was up 5% today.  I do not know how they make their money, but I am glad I own the stock.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=MNCS.OB

ANF bolted thru 75, AXR was up 2, BLUD up 5%, SYX up 5% (#1 on the IBD 100), wedding planner KNOT was up 6%, PWEI up a buck.

Drug companies, MEMY and ACOR, were up on news of a private placement.
http://tools.thestreet.com/tsc/quotes.html?pg=qcn&symb=MEMY
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=ACOR

ACOR was up on huge volume and broke the $15 barrier.

There is lots of stuff for today, so let's find a way to use it and make some money.
Thanks, Eugene

Secretary of State Colin Powell 9/12/01

The market started out hot, but cooled by the end of the session as earnings season gets going tonight with Alcoa reporting as you read this.  Oil dropped below $59 a barrel.  Many investors are anxious to find out if oil prices will stay down AFTER the elections.

Steel stocks continued to inch higher as ZEUS and SIM gained 3%.  SIM has been a rocket over the past few weeks.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=sim+zeus

And Aluminum Company ERS is starting to build the rt side of a cup on another strong up day.  http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=ERS&t=6m

Chinese telephone stock, XING pushed up another 5%.  I think it still has another point or two to go up until it is correctly valued.  This is a good one to add to your portfolio.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=xing
Telephones are not just another fad.

Shoe maker, CROX , is showing it is for real, gaining another buck.  Fous thinks there is real growth this company, I just see plenty of knock-offs being made.  But then, it has never hurt Coach Handbags.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=CROX

DIVX, which compresses videos for online play jumped today on the Youtube purchase!
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=DIVX

Wedding planning site, KNOT, jumped another 8%.  Women spend tons of $$$ on their weddings.  Wedding dress = $4000, Tux rental = $99.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=KNOT

DVAX sold 7 million shares of stock, dropping 11% and killing all of my profits on that one and then some.  Oh. Well.  And NVEC is just clinging onto its 50dma.

Please watch the earnings!  With the backdating of options scandal going on, there might be some nasty restatements.  Be careful, Snow-Rod.

Let your mind run on what you lack as much as on what you have already. – Marcus Aurelius, Roman emperor

The market was down a bit and oil pulled back more.  Alcoa started the earnings season off in a poor fashion and ended up hitting an 11 month low.  Not a good beginning

SYX got pummeled so badly, it brought a tear to my eye.  The IBD 100 #1 stock fell 19% on huge volume.  It is being pushed towards 15 – if it breaks that mark, it will be off the IBD 100 and likely fade into the woodwork.  I bailed out after losing a handsome profit.  I hate that.  Reminds me of ERS and many other IBD #1 alumni.

ZUMZ and PSPT also took me down a notch falling almost $2 and $1 respectively.

There were few bright spots all around and I always am cautious during earnings season.  I let go of Q after blowing a 10% gain and sold RTK with another awful loss (I keep buying this gas-to –liquid fuel company with the dream that it might amount to something – yeah! A big loss)!

Better luck tomorrow.  And don't take any stock advice you read on the internet.
Thanks, Snowy Blowy

A MAN IS NOT OLD UNTIL REGRETS TAKE THE PLACE OF DREAMS. – John Barrymore, actor

The Dow rose to a new high but I got slammed in the mouth again with a last minute 20% drop in HSR.  I knew earnings season was a killer, but I just stand there like a deer in the headlights.

SYX fell further when a Stock Lemon report said basically that SYX SUX.

Chinese Auto maker, CAAS is showing a triple bottom base.  It is as exciting as a triple Lutz!

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=CAAS

I won't say whether or not I bought it because someone would just report the purchase to StockLemon and they would pan it!

MNCS finally has a down day - and it's a doozy!

Formerly "Big and Tall" looking pretty Phat to me!

DIVX up again until Stocklemon finds it.

SIMC surged on 2q guidance.  It reported that prior account problems were due to incompetence and not foul play!  The stock bolted 75%.
I owned it when it was 17ish.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=simc

Auto chassis maker, SPAR, is still looking good, up 4%.  This is an Elite G pick, where ever he went.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=SPAR&t=1y

Clothing maker, ZUMZ is surging ahead, as is CROX.  CROX and UTK were featured in IBD articles today!
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=ZUMZ&t=6m
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=crox+utk

XING continues to do well until it collapses, up 4%.

There is no such thing as luck.  It's a fancy name for being always at our duty, and so sure to be ready when a good time comes. – Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton, British Statesman

I think a good time has come for me to change my life.  On Monday I will be starting a new career with less stress and better benefits.  It is a big change from the financial business I have done over the past 20 years, but there comes a time when you have to make the move that is in the best interest of your family.  I will continue making market comments, for what its worth, considering how I got skewered on SYX and HRS, but stuff happens and I learned some valuable lessons – with HRS, once I sell something, never look at it again, and with SYX, avoid IBD 100 stocks that make a big run-up.

Comments will be less frequent and I will have to adjust my trading to a longer range and a less volatile breed of stock.  I do not think I should trade stocks my first week on the new job.

I bought some CHS, a woman's clothing store that focus' on women 35 and over.  The stock has always had good numbers and with the retail clothing sector doing well, I think this stock will get back to 30.  Earnings are on Nov 18.  There are Nov 25 calls that look good as well as the stock.  Like ANF and others, I think retail will be strong going into X-Mas.  http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=CHS

PRFT got a double whammy, getting downgraded (likely went up too fast) and being panned by Cramer.  I like the outsourcing company, but sold to preserve a 15% profit.   For the long term it looks good, though I have no control of what the Cramer Zombies do.

NVEC bounced off the 50dma and got a further boost from shorts who likely did not want to hold thru the weekend.  Volume is increasing and earnings are next Wed., so a lot of things are up in the air.  I think it will continue to rise into earnings....and then?
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=NVEC

BITS had a nice bo of a cup with handle sort, the kind you want to see.  The company makes software that helps organize fonts for use in documents.  It is a Cool Cat newsletter pick that should be a good one.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=bits

Here are some others I am looking at.  I cannot buy ALY or TTM because I owned them already.  ALY does oil field maintenance and TTM builds cars in India

I will do my best to bring good potential stocks to your attention.  Maybe some of them can help you make some extra money.
