Sept. 11 News:

Angeion Shares Climb on Strong 3Q
Monday September 11, 12:50 pm ET
Angeion Shares Rise After Swinging to Quarterly Profit on Higher Sales

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Shares of Angeion Corp. climbed in midday trading after the maker of tools to diagnose heart and lung ailments said it swung to a profit in its fiscal third quarter, fueled by sales to clinical research clients.

Shares rose $3.45, or 83 percent, to $7.61 in midday trading, after earlier in the session surging to a new 52-week high of $8.11 on the Nasdaq. The stock has traded in a 52-week range between $2 to $5.84 and is up about 52 percent from the beginning of the year.

Angeion posted earnings for the quarter ended July 31 of $655,000, or 17 cents per share, versus a loss of $268,000 million, or 7 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue rose 45 percent to $8.8 million from $6.1 million. Business from one clinical research partner contributed to 38 percent of the quarterly take, the company said.

The company said sales of its cardiorespiratory diagnostic systems grew significantly, as did manufacturing and shipping of its pulmonary function systems.

Angeion said it also increased the number of health and fitness partners offering its New Leaf Active Metabolic Training programs.

The company said revenue from clinical research clients will continue to drive growth

terliso, sweet looking chart!!!  8)

would $10.00 (the recent high) count as the "G" spot here?

i was looking at the all-time chart for ANGN, and looks like these levels are historcial highs for this company.

it's exciting to imagine what'll happen on break of $10.0.
Long term investments are short-term investments that have gone wrong.

By my understanding of the G point was broken today at 8.71 (the close of the tall white on Sept 11)  Check out this post for G's deffination of his pattern:

I am starting to get the swing of it, and the current market conditions seem to be presenting a bunch of them with the recent enthusiasm over the indicies new highs, after a lul in Sept...  that is my take at least.  I got in this one this AM and am looking for a target in the 10's in the next couple of days.. but may get stopped out in the high 8's tommorrow

Good tading to ya
Cheers Joe

Joe - G's definition was highest close or open, so in this case 9.60 would be his spot. I bought at 6.90 on Monday. With stocks that have strong breakouts, I've noticed a safe place to buy is at the first pullback to the 20 ema. So I had an order in at 6.50 all last week, just missed by a dime on Thursday and Friday so chased it Monday at 6.90. Sold half today at 8.90 cause I thought it was going to stall near $9 but that didn't last long. My plan now is to sell the other half in the high 9's tomorrow if it gets there, and if it breaks $10 I'd jump back in since that's a blue sky breakout.

Remember this was a 3Stocks pick back in January at $4? Fantastic return for anyone who bought and held.

Hi Lucas,
nice to see you back again!
2months absence  ???
cheers

Lucas, Thanx for your read on the G-point... I was reading it as the open or close of the day of the big spike, in this case 8.71, but after re-reading g's rules i see your take as well, the rally and volume continued on 9/12 opening at 9.6... which is what i was shooting for today... the stock market ::)  now i am on the sidelines

I sold this AM to preserve some day gains from yesterday, but it is holding the midpoint of yesterdays tall white candle nicely, the 20 and 9 SMA are tight, are you a buyer agin if it touches these averages?

Cheers Joe

This one if back up 9.10 !! Might see $10 + tomorrow or next week ! :o

Lucas Scott

I sold too at 8.80.

Joet, the position of 20 sma and 9 sma averages isn't something I watch, so they won't have an effect on my trading. If I see a flag form on the daily chart I'll try to catch the next breakout, or a move above $10.

Lucas,
I got back in on Fri, do you see a flag formed on the last 3 days?  Trend is up.  My stop is 8.19 and target 11ish after we hit a new high. Long shadows on both sides seem to say it could go either way.  IF we get volume probably up, if  vlume levels or drops the price probably will too

Thoughts on this Low Floater...  Only institutional holding sold down at 8ish...
Cheers Joe

I've been watching ANGN over the last few sessions. It's moving nicely; I believe a chart update is in order!
