I'm glad that you made money on it, Melf Elf. Well done.

cumulina,

Thanks, but I didn't short it.  It trades only about 45,000 shares a day (100 day average), so much too illiquid.

Hopefully I'll learn from this! ::)

That's the important thing.  Good luck.  You'll get 'em next time.  ;)

Oooooh-dear, ooooooh-dear!

Someone got tired of FPP this morning and dumped a lot of shares.

Look at the volume... :o

I guess the chart speaks for itself.
Happy trading...

cumulina,

Brutal chart.  Applause for showing up on the thread.  Most threads get abandoned when stocks go down, and only get revisited when stocks go UP.  :(

There is only one answer to that, there are lots of LONG side than SHORT side traders in this website ;) ;D

Alister and setravis,

Trading long or short wasn't my point.  Given the amount of time and effort that we put into analyzing these stocks, I simply appreciated cumulina following up on FPP.  How do these stocks that we discuss turn out?  Was it bullish?  Was it bearish?  etc.

Sorry that I wasn't more clear about that.

cumulina

Thanks for the comments, guys - and the analysis, Melf.

Finally a sign of life in this little fellow.

The volume has increased nicely, so it looks like the worst is over - I hope!  ::)

I don't know how to annotate the chart, but draw your own lines (and conclusions)

;)
Happy trading...

:)

Under this facility, loans and letters of credit will be available to the Company on a revolving basis in an amount outstanding not to exceed the lesser of $50,000,000 or the then current borrowing base. FieldPoint President and CEO Ray D. Reaves said, "As we have previously stated, being able to enter into a strong banking facility is an important part of laying the foundation for accelerating our growth. I am extremely pleased that FieldPoint has been able to establish this relationship with a prestigious energy lender that has a national presence in oil and gas. Having the opportunity to enter into a facility of this size is a strong confirmation that our long standing strategy of conservative acquisition of properties is the right one for us. This is a major milestone for FieldPoint and I believe that it significantly improves our posture regarding expansion through acquisition. Combined with our favorable cash position and lack of debt, FieldPoint is well positioned for strong growth."

FieldPoint Petroleum Corporation is engaged in oil and gas exploration, production and acquisition, primarily in Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. For more information, please visit www.fppcorp.com.

AUSTIN, Texas, Jun 16, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- FieldPoint Petroleum Corporation (FPP) today announced the acquisition of various interests in the Spraberry Trend located in Midland County, Texas and in the Flying M Field located in Lea County, New Mexico. The Spraberry Trend is operated by Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD), and the Flying M Field is operated by Chesapeake Energy Corp (CHK). The acquisition price is $1,295,000 for various interests in seven producing wells and the leasehold and related equipment, effective July 1, 2008. The working interests range from 6.5% to 39.25% and the net revenue interests range from 5.69% to 29.44%. Based upon engineering reports and certain standard assumptions, this is expected to add approximately 41,000 BOE in proved developed producing reserves net to FieldPoint. FieldPoint's belief is that the proved producing reserves could increase when and if additional wells are drilled or recompleted.

"We are excited to be the successful bidder for these properties," stated Ray Reaves, President and CEO for FieldPoint. "It is an important acquisition for FieldPoint. We estimate that the reserves acquired could replace more than 50% of our total 2008 oil and natural gas production. We also believe that this acquisition could further serve to increase our production by affording FieldPoint the opportunity for certain additional development in these fields."

Royale Energy, Jazz Pharmaceuticals and Manitex International lead small-cap percentage gainers
Tuesday June 24, 12:41 pm ET
Will Atkinson

Royale Energy Inc (NasdaqGM:ROYL), Jazz Pharmaceuticals Inc (NasdaqGM:JAZZ) and Manitex International Inc (NasdaqCM:MNTX) are among the biggest percentage gainers in Tuesday's trading among companies with market capitalizations under $1 billion.

Also included among the results: Pzena Investment Management Inc (NYSE:PZN), AspenBio Pharma Inc (NasdaqCM:APPY), Cytori Therapeutics Inc (NasdaqGM:CYTX), IXYS Corp (NasdaqGM:IXYS), FieldPoint Petroleum Corp (AMEX:FPP) and Torch Energy Royalty Trust (NYSE:TRU).

FPP has been on a binge buying up potential oil fields and increasing the size of its reserves.
So far, the buys haven't impacted its balance sheet but that's expected to change over the next two quarters.
Otherwise, FPP's economics are lackluster. Purely a spec play at this point.
Having lots of success in the energy field.
Good Trading to all!
