Hey eliteG, I think you were long on PACT and long long time ago (that's the whole point of LONG right?  :)).  How do you see the news that came out yesterday?  I like the word "potential" in the news, reminds me of CAFE and CAFEW.  Trying to figure out if I should get in at the open.

I believe last time it had news like this it jumped.

Played PACT a few times, and it can sure run on news. Interesting that past few sessions been moving well on moderate vol. Yesterday vol was just above average but not real momentum flow compared to previous runs. Will be watching this AM for possible entry if volume flows in will see as it sold off some after the news.

Thanks AussieTrade!

I have seen how PACT can react to news even after some "quiet" movement when the news came out.  I don't see much risk here since the price still reflects to the price before the news.  I'm in.

Any thoughts on PACT?  They recently reported record earnings and a very strong forcast for 06:

http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/060418/cntu022.html?.v=1

However, are currently facing delisting from the NASDAQ, which is expected to happen at opening of business TODAY, based on a failure to make a timely 10K subission for EOY05 financials.  They should have appealed the decision, and it remains to be seen what happens at open today, but the chart looks appealing with a close yesterday right on the ascending trendline.

Clearly a solid business in a spot of bother - could this be a (albeit slightly dangerous) bargain?

12:13PM PacificNet sees FY08 revs of $60 mln (PACT) 1.69 +0.16 : Co announces the following market updates today: 1. As previously reported, PACT has issued 1,230,000 restricted shares of PACT in connection with its recent acquisition of Octavian, which will be held in an escrow account and will be released in 2009 in accordance with the payment and earn-out schedule in the Sales and Purchase Agreement. The other 1,100,000 shares issued in connection with the acquisition are restricted shares of PACT and cannot be sold for at least six months pursuant to SEC Rule 144 requirements. 2. Assuming the current stock market environment persists and without the possibility of new funding, PACT expects to achieve minimum $60 mln revenue for Fiscal Year 2008 , assuming no equity, convertible, or other financing during the year. The new projection is based on the scenario of no new fund raising, as compared to the earlier projection based on certain fund raising. 3. Addressing the multi-year low stock price, PACT believes that certain short selling groups are attempting to manipulate PACT stock price by selling its shares short on a "naked" basis. PACT notes the SEC's recent move to curb these market abuses and is glad to see that the regulators intend to step in to protect its long-term, strategic shareholders.
